YCM's YACT 2016 (nominations closed)

That's right. I just did that.

Regardless, I just decided to do this at least once more, so I picked all 2016 anime to do this with, as opposed to continuing where this left off (last one was Spring 2015). I did this because 2016 anime are probably going to be easier to remember than 2015 anime. If this proves to have enough interest, it may continue (including my interest, meaning if I don't want to do any more, then I won't) with finishing the 2015 seasons and then last season (Winter 2017). And you probably noticed this isn't a SACT (Seasonal Anime Character Tournament). From now on, that will be different, but only for when (or if) there are tournaments for every season of a year in one.

With this ridiculously awful introduction out of the way,

[spoiler=here are the rules:]YCM rules apply

Nominating:
All nominations will participate in the tournament. No need to nominate a character that already was.

You can pick 3 characters from anime that have debuted in each season of 2016 (for a total of 12 characters each). No more than 1 from each anime, unless you've seen less than 3 from a particular season.

Transferring nominations for a season to another, for if you haven't seen a single anime from that season (because I understand that is possible), is allowed for only one season. We don't want one person nominating every character from one anime, even if it's the only one you've seen all year. When you do transfer, it will only be accepted under one of the following circumstances:
-If the nominations are being transferred to a season in which you've seen more than one anime from
-If you've seen only one anime that debuted in 2016 (but remember that you'll only be getting 6 nominations total in this case, unless more nominations are given later)

Only characters from TV anime may be nominated. Short anime and net anime are allowed. OVAs, specials, moovies are not.

If there are less than 64 nominations in a week, more nominations per person will be given (the amount will be addressed then and will depend on how many people have nominated).

If there are 64 or more, that will be the end date for nominations.

Voting:
Before each round begins, I will post a screenshot of the randomization of all characters taking part in that round (from random.org). That screenshot will show how the matches will be determined.

Matches may end by mercy ruling. The vote difference for the rule will be has been determined by number of voters in the first round.

Mercy rule update: With only a max of 7 voters in each match, I will keep it the same as previous SACTs (I'm still calling it that even though the the title says something about years instead of seasons). This means that if I notice a match at a 5 or more vote difference, I'll close it even before the match would end otherwise. This also means to abstain, all you need do is not vote because I'm switching back to one match per thread, to make it easier to use this rule (if the need ever arises).

I'll try to make the votes public. If I forget you can even kick my butt, but no making me ded.

[spoiler=2016 Anime]Unlike every time before, I will not be making (a) list(s). This may be lazier, but it is completely unnecessary to do anymore with very accurate chart sites nowadays. Instead, I'll provide links to each season on several such sites, which you can choose the one you prefer to use from.

Might I ask which characters from those anime that you're nominating?

Just to be clear (I may not have been entirely), you don't only have to have watched one anime from a season to get more nominations for one anime. For Spring, you can nominate a character from one and two characters from the other. If you want to use all nominations you get, that is.

You can pick 3 characters from anime that have debuted in each season of 2016 (for a total of 12 characters each). No more than 1 from each anime, unless you've seen less than 3 from a particular season.

From that.

Thanks. That's what I was going for for.

Maybe I'll do something I probably should have done before anyone else now.

Aoba Suzukaze because Yun is already in (New Game!) Hmm. Actually, it is probably best I didn't do this first, so that at least one person didn't have to pick someone other than their favoritest character.

Fall:

Kumiko Oumae (Hibike! Euphonium 2)

I've apparently watched little anime from 2016 and only have two nominations for every season except winter. For which I only had the one (Megumin) and somebody already nominated it. That said, y'all should be ashamed nobody nominated All-Might :l

All-Might (Boku no Hero Academia)

Gosh, I forgot net anime were a thing, so I'll change it to allow them. I'll also remove the "etc." because I can't think of anything else besides the types listed.

If anyone wants to change their nominations based on that new rule, you can do that (obviously you don't have to, though).

Edit: I just realized I didn't put an actual end date (which I have to do with no participant limit), so I'll just make it the same as when we would have gotten more nominations (which isn't happening anymore, with the over 64 nominations).

It has officially been a week since I posted this and like said in the OP that was when I would hand out more nominations if there were less than 64. There's not less than 64, so now is by all means when I should close nominations, like I said in my previous post. And I am. You thought I'd say something else, didn't you? Of course you didn't.

[spoiler=randomization for round 2]I just realized something else I should do. If you've clicked into here, you already don't care to spoil yourself, so I'm going mention who's getting into 3P matches from now on. For round 2, those are:

Natsuki Nakagawa, Yuri Plisetsky, and Hajime Shinoda

Kumiko Oumae, Sinbad, and Theodor Eberbach
