Just wondering how people get their name highlighted (e.g IRS' purple sparkle name), change their member title, group etc.

Just wondering how people get their name highlighted (e.g IRS' purple sparkle name), change their member title, group etc. 

 

IRS bought VIP membership for a month. For 1,000 points, you can become a VIP until the 11th of each month (or whenever one of the mods gets around to resetting). Would be nice if process was automated and expired automatically w/out us having to manually go in there.

 

To change your group, either you can buy VIP or your own personalized one. That, or you can win one as a prize (usually one of the staff members will give it).

 

After you reach 50 posts, you can change your own member title (or if you can't wait that long, you can ask a staff member to change it for you).

A part Sakura forgot to mention is the prices of member groups. If I'm remembering correctly, creating your own member group that will last for three months costs 10,000 points. However, if you pay 40,000 instead, the group will be permanent, and this also comes with permanent membership to your group. If you're not the group owner you still have to pay the monthly 1,000 last I heard, but changes to the group should be free. If that's since changed, it would likely be that the 10,000 for three months has been removed, though I'm not sure about the monthly payment.

Technically, there's supposed to a 5K charge for any changes, but I don't think any of us have charged that (and in actuality, it won't take longer than a few minutes to modify anyway). So yeah, there isn't a charge.

 

But yeah, it's 10K for your own group for 3 months / 90 days if you're the group owner. Other member who wish to join your group must obtain permission from you, and pay 1,000/month. The News section has a thread containing the price tags for this stuff; may need to be updated though.
