How do you make or join a member group?

As it says in the title, I want to know how you can make or join a member group.

Outside of VIP:

 

Creating a group

- PM a mod (preferably regular/Supers because Jr. Mods cannot access the Admin CP)

- Give us the details (name, any BBcode/effects, logos, etc.)

- Pay 10,000 points for 3 months (then 1K for every subsequent 30 days), or 40K for life (you get the group and it's yours until YCM goes down)

 

Joining group

- Either you win membership to an assigned group (usually contest prizes)

- Group owner grants you permission to join theirs, in which case you pay the 1K member fee (or the owner can do it for you)

You can join dollars for free, if you like. I am paying for whoever wants to be a part of it. Same benefits as VIP, no strings attached.
