So... you mentioned something in the doc on Beast Masters being able to enter contracts with stronger monsters over leveling up. Would that be the only way they'd be able to get any type of dragon under their beck and call? Or is there... say, a whelp of a specific something, that could actually be subjugated by the Beast Master's whips?

And on that note, are the monsters that are subjugated or summoned by a Beast Master able to gain experience or grow into stronger variants at all?

...

I'd be tempted to pick up a Dwarven Beast Master regardless, but I'll still need the answers to these two questions for later character building.

yes your character can obtain a dragon whelp, or a baby version of any monster for that matter, but if you want to go with a dragon tamer character please know that, that is going to be an extremely difficult venture just because dragons are unruly and supposed to be strong creatures so we fully expect you to dedicate your character to that. Also we don't want you to make your character boring and just rely on the might of a dragon to solve problems

Khepura and Faun...

Can you explain these/describe them? Cause I know the other ones...just not these.

Yes, I apologize. I was up until 4 AM working on that Database, so obvious things may be missing y'all. So, call me out, please.

Khepura are functionally Khajilt from Skyrim. You'll notice that at the end of the Khepura description there is a hyperlink. Click it and you will see an image of what it looks like. Other examples include this, this, and this

A Faun is a Satyr. Examples include this and this

So basically Khepura are feline-like humanoid creatures. They are covered in fur and have cat-like faces. They have retractable claws, a tail stretching approximately a meter in length, and eyes that enhance their night time vision. They can walk upright and all fours; they move very quietly.

The faun is a biped hybrid race. The top half of a faun is human, except for the horns that grow out of their head, and debatably their facial hair. Their lower half is more goat-like in nature. They are very characteristic of playing the pan flute or some type of wooden wind instrument.

Might as well put this scheme here for now... Just need bio and one more thing now...

[spoiler=Beware High Levels in a Class Many Die Young (Done?)]

Personal Information

Name: Inari
Age of Appearance: 32
Gender: Male

Race: Human

[spoiler=Appearance:]epgNf5a.png

Standing at an equal to 6'1" in height, Inari holds an air of confidence around him. He's one of the last Duelists still standing, which is no small feat, considering the nature of the sub-class. All of his armor is glamoured into invisibility, which means that only his normal attire appears to view. While predominately right-handed, the game has forced him to become borderline ambidextrous to handle his wild fighting style well. While hard to tell, his eyes appear to be a light-brown coloration. He appears to be wearing leather boots the same color as his pants and beside the bloody teardrop that is the Blood of Corruption amulet is another amulet with no real effect that looked like two golden blades crossed one over the other on a circle of iron, a dagger and a sword. Inari's younger-in-real-life brother, Phantom, has the other pendant.

[spoiler=Personality:]Confidence. Caution. Performance.

Inari views himself as a performer of war instead of just a typical fighter, the elemental nature of his weapons and signature attack painting quite the picture for those watching from the distance. When ducking, diving and weaving around attacks and spells, he often appears to be performing certain dance steps, the exact dances varying depending on how long he had to get out of the way of a strike. His mentality in battles is to strike hard and fast, while always being sure to never be where the foe will strike. He knows that Duelists like himself don't survive long after they run out of Stamina, if still caught in fights, so he has gone out of his way to make sure that doesn't happen, even crafting potions to cover this fact.

A key aspect of his survival happens to be the fact that he's an avid and cautious Treasure Hunter, willing to hunt down and even buy unique gear from other players, even if it breaks his bank for a bit. This insistence on the hunt has rewarded him, even granting him gear that allows him to use two skills normally unavailable to characters like him.

When at full health, he allows himself to forget that death in the game is fatal, freeing him from the fear that chains many from performing various tasks that could otherwise benefit everyone. This often jars people who see him go headlong into combat, pulling out only when his Lantern of the Sunken ring starts having an effect on the fight and leaving behind quite the elemental mess behind. Needless to say, he's very-appropriately out of breath when doing these stunts.

He absolutely refuses to fight against another player, however, due to the fact that he's discovered by accident that his fighting style, turned against a player, is guaranteed to kill someone by overloading the opposing player's Empath and killing the connection with the flashing lights and large string of damage being dealt, even if the player on the receiving end doesn't actually hit 0% HP by the time the disconnect happens. If he has to defend himself, he will actually restrain himself in the fight, refusing to use his signature Wild Strike, which combined with his Rebukes of the Gravelands, is the ultimate cause of those accidental deaths.

Speaking of character deaths, whenever he hears of one, Inari can't help but wonder if it was one his brother had a hand in. Ever since the discovery of people dying for real, the last time he saw Phantom, the man had quite the twisted grin on his face...

[spoiler=Biography:]Before everyone became trapped within the game, Inari wasn't as much of a player as he would have liked to be. Real life took cheap shots at his time for playing, resulting in his younger brother, Phantom, to reach the current cap while he trailed behind at lvl. 30 when people would no longer be able to log out. For the first month, the pair traveled together, trying to figure out how to survive in the world they were now in, knowing that they wouldn't be able to rely on the skills from their old jobs. Inari managed to get to Lvl. 33 by this point.

A random player, seeing Inari's gear, tried to threaten with his life unless he handed over all his gear. Figuring that this might be the type of player that would kill him anyway after such a surrender, Inari chose to defend himself, figuring that he was likely to die either way. It was this fight that both Inari and Phantom noticed something wrong. The player was nowhere near 0% health, in fact, his health only reached 50%...but the game acted like he was killed. While the kill leveled Inari up to 34, the human was in shock, dropping both of his Rebuke of the Gravelord blades to the ground before falling to his knees himself. Phantom helped Inari get back up onto his feet and get back to Niska where the Duelist passed out at an inn. When he woke up, Phantom was gone and the only thing left was a note stating that he had research to do.

Inari leveled on his own, being cautious with his leveling and quest-completing, making sure he did not overwhelm himself at any point, since he no longer had a partner to work with. Near the tag-end of being Lvl 37, he was approached by members of a new group who were actually surprised to see a Duelist alive at this point. The two girls asked if he would like to join, and maybe help them find a way to escape the game alive. Hoping to put his skills as a PI to use for once instead of solely focusing on surviving as well as hopefully find his brother in the process, agreed to joining the guild.

During the two weeks he was part of the guild, he managed to hit Lvl. 38 in addition to finding clues as to what may have happened to Phantom. While he doesn't have a location or past actions for certain, one thing is for sure. He's still alive.

Real-World Identity:

Name: Antonio Sakamoto
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Bio: Antonio and his brother, Michael, are polar body twins, meaning that despite originally forming from the same egg, they only share roughly 75% of each other's genetic code. For the first several years, the pair grew up together and always spent time with one another. However, growing up after entering school, they soon started developing differing mentalities. While Antonio was beginning to accel in various physical aspects, Michael was excelling in more...dangerous subjects. He would find Michael plotting to kill those that drove him up a tree, and Antonio would barely be able to stop him.

In regards to his job before the entrapment, he worked as a private investigator in Los Angeles. When the news that he was one of the people trapped in the game reached where he worked, they removed him from the payroll, but would be willing to reinstate him if he managed to come back alive.

Both of them joining as beta-testers for Bluefire was an attempt to help Michael find an outlet, especially with Player-vs-Player and be able to enjoy the sensation of giving and receiving pain. Originally, Michael wasn't going to be a beta tester until one of his own friends pulled a 'friend of a friend' stunt to get him in. He still doesn't know how, said friend refuses to give him a straight answer.

Now that deaths are real in Bluefire, Antonio can't help but wonder if he made a mistake in potentially bringing in a murderer...

"Th, that is to say..."

Personal Information

Name: Melethil

Race: Elf

Age of Appearance: 13

Gender: Male

[spoiler=Appearance]NZcEWJU.jpg
Height: 4'4"
Weight: 72 pounds

Melethil's skin has been tanned and darkened by time spent under the desert sun hanging over Xyra. His hair is kept short at all times, bordering on black in color and framing a soft face that holds golden yellow eyes and the distinct pointed ears that give Melethil away as an elf. Adorning his right shoulder is a tattoo featuring curved lines, resembling a flower if seen in its entirety. To better handle the desert heat, Melethil wears light, airy clothes that let his body breathe. When Melethil leaves the city, he wears a brown leather cloak meant to shield him from the cold desert nights and sandstorms alike, and carries a large white backpack filled with food, water, and potions, with a rolled-up tent tied down to the top. Although Melethil fills this backpack with supplies to last him about a week and a half, he always takes care to not fill it too much; he always intends to return home with treasure in tow. Due to the meticulous care he takes with his hygiene, Melethil's skin and hair are soft to the touch.

Around Melethil's neck is a rope necklace ending in a solid gold medallion with the general shape of a dragon's wing. Both the rope and the medallion are clearly far older than Melethil himself, or any Haven for that matter.

[spoiler=Personality]Melethil is a timid creature, not really being one to speak his mind or stand up for himself. He isn't very good at small talk either; when Melethil speaks, it's mostly business. Perhaps because he's not so good with the whole social niceties thing, he generally tries to avoid crowds. Melethil is most content to be either by himself, or discussing business with a customer or partner. However, being a rather cowardly elf, Melethil is easily intimidated, which can be detrimental to his business. It's also pretty easy to read his mood. When Melethil's not feeling so great, or if he's on top of the world, you'll know. Despite running a business, Melethil - due to his timid nature - is a poor negotiator, and has a bad habit of letting his business partners walk all over him simply because he lacks the spine to stand up for himself.

Speaking of business, Melethil is a surprisingly greedy little elf. His two greatest passions in life are money and history, and he wants the former to belong entirely to him. He doesn't even want it so he can live a life of excess in a lavish palace for the rest of his days; Melethil just wants to have mountains of crescents hidden away in a personal treasury. In the pusruit of coin, Melethil's always keeping his ears open for new ways to make a quick buck, or for good opportunities to expand his existing business. Likewise, due to his fascination with history, he's always listening for rumors of old ruins being discovered. Whenever he learns of a new ruin from an ancient civilization, he always wants to be the very first one to explore it and claim the loot for himself. He'll sell whatever he can put the biggest price tags on, and add the rest to his collection until such time as he can sell it for a huge profit. In fact, Melethil's a compulsive hoarder, as anyone who's seen inside his house can attest. When Melethil obtains something, he has a hard time getting rid of it, and he only manages to find spare room in his backpack because he makes a point to only put food, water, and relics he finds or plans to sell in there.

Being a Cleric, Melethil also watches his friends and allies closely. If someone is injured, he'll be on the case. If somebody's sick, he'll be by their side until they're healthy again. Seeing that everyone is alive and well is his job and - even if he's not getting paid for it - he makes sure to deliver as best he can. Appealing to his thirst for wealth, however, can really bring out the best of Melethil's abilities. Nothing motivates him to heal his allies quite like a big fat paycheck. Trying to flatter him won't go anywhere though; Melethil's ego is virtually nonexistent, and he'll be fast to handwave any attempts to make him sound like some team savior that miraculously saves lives like it was nothing.

...of course, Melethil is also played by an experienced roleplayer who's going out of her way to stay in-character for as long as possible. While all of the above definitely applies to Melethil - the character - it doesn't necessarily reflect the personality of Haruka, the player.

In a stark contrast to Melethil, Haruka is sarcastic, blunt, and has a bizzarre sense of pride as a healer. Her primary concern with any given RPG is how well she can immerse herself into the world of the game and feel as though she really is her character, which has brought her to call Bluefire the greatest RPG of all time, despite the current server issues. However, being Melethil 24/7 for so long is starting to wear on Haruka. Lately, there have been brief moments where she believes she really and truly is Melethil instead of Haruka. It's a disturbing sensation once the episode passes and she realizes she isn't really Melethil, but this hasn't stopped her. For better or worse, when Haruka commits to something, she commits wholly and entirely, and she intends to commit to being Melethil until such time as she can finally log off.

[spoiler=Biography]Upon creating Melethil, his player knew exactly what to do. Over the course of Bluefire's beta, Melethil largely stayed in and around Xyra, venturing out into the sands of the Pernicies Desert every week or so in search of ancient relics. Melethil's business, aside from acting as a healer for hire for adventurers or parties that believed they may need one, was buying and selling these relics. Anyone can go delving into ancient crypts for treasure, but it took a real eye for business to turn a profit selling the tresaure other players found and sold to him.

When the game itself was released, Melethil continued his business, though for the first day or so, his clientele has skyrocketed in size. Granted, as CrossLife began to get players out, his clients dwindled back down to just beta testers and NPCs. Before long, he was just selling off his loot to NPCs in the city, and to any fellow beta testers that happened to come into Xyra looking for old relics. Business...wasn't that great. Melethil did what he could though, and got by well enough. He was making more as a healer than he was as a treasure hunter, what with players not wanting to die and all. It wasn't quite what he'd wanted - finding relics of civilizations long-since past was his passion - but it kept the roof over his head and food in his stomach. Not to mention it made leveling up a breeze.

Eventually, the guild Ithaca was formed. Up to that point, Melethil had avoided joining any guilds. Wings of Icarus wasn't really interested in Melethil himself so much as him being a Cleric. Other guilds didn't really care much about him or his class. It wasn't until Ithaca came knocking at his door with recruitment offers just last week that Melethil finally joined a guild. Why? Well, put simply, his business was failing. People who needed a healer were starting to make Cleric friends who could take them on dangerous adventures for free, and as interesting as Melethil's relics were, they were more often than not glorified junk loot. Nobody was buying them, and the NPCs - having so many because of Melethil - weren't willing to pay as much for more wares that weren't really selling, if they were willing to pay at all.

To Melethil, it was mostly a matter of joining the guild being the only solution to his failing business. With a guild name to back himself up with, Melethil was able to sell his relics to NPCs for just a little bit more gold, as well as having adventuring partners to sell them in other Havens that he hadn't sold his wares to just yet. It also meant getting Wings of Icarus off his case since he could finally tell them "Sorry, I'm already in a guild." The recruiter didn't seem all that pleased with the news.

Combat Information

Affiliation: Ithaca

Class: Caster

Sub-Class: Cleric

Level: 40

[spoiler=Inventory]Staff of Shu'rima: A caster staff Melethil found in an ancient ruin deep in the Pernicies Desert. It was designed more with Necromancers in mind, having the ability to create a weak ghost whenever the wielder summoned any type of undead, but Melethil kept it for himself due to its passive ability to decrease all of his casting times and cooldowns by 33%, including the global cooldown that one must wait for between skills.

Xyran Garb: Simple clothing at a glance, and fairly decent robe armor. While lacking any particularly amazing ability, the stats provided by the clothes scale with the wearer's level. Plus it's very breathable and as such can help the wearer deal with the desert heat. Because it's more breathable, Melethil opted for the female version.

Dragonwing Medallion: The very first relic Melethil found, it's an old rope holding a golden charm at the end in the general shape of a dragon's wing. Provides no stats, but lets Melethil fly for a period of no more than ten seconds (30 second cooldown (reduced to 20 by Staff of Shu'rima)).

Preserved Fish: Fish caught from the river of Xyra, and properly preserved with salts and other preserving techniques. Can be made into tasty sushi, or cooked. Melethil's got enough fish to feed himself for a week, though having to feed others would decrease how long his supply can last. Even preserved, fish only stays good for so long though; the fish Melethil's got on him are only going to be good for the next week or so.

Canteens and Gourds of Water: So much water. Melethil never leaves home without plenty of water to stay hydrated with, taken from the river. There's enough water in here to last Melethil and only Melethil for a week. Aside from his trusty canteen, Melethil keeps his water in two large gourds that hang from the sides of his backpack.

Melethil's relics: Glorified junk loot. It's a collection of items that weren't exactly equippable items or useful trinkets, but were still cool enough to not be absolute garbage; they're excellent items for decoration or collecting. Speaking of collecting, collecting these from the ruins around the Pernicies Desert is mostly how Melethil makes a living, and he's looking to sell these in Havens outside of Xyra to expand his business, be it to players or to NPCs he hasn't already sold a boatload of relics to. Melethil's backpack currently holds ten relics, though he's got at least a hundred more back home.

[spoiler=Sample Skills]Flash Heal: A quick healing spell with an instant cast speed that doesn't trigger global cooldown. However, it costs more mana than Heal and doesn't heal for quite as much, as Melethil instantly expends some mana to heal a nearby ally or himself. Can also be cast while casting other spells. Flash Heal has three charges, and Melethil regains one charge every 5 seconds (reduced to 3 by Staff of Shu'rima).

Heal: A simple, yet potent, healing spell. In terms of raw healing per second and mana efficiency, this is Melethil's strongest spell, healing the target for a decent chunk of health after a 3-second (reduced to 2 by Staff of Shu'rima) cast for a relatively low mana cost. The low cost allows Melethil to use it a lot during one fight.

Regenerate: A heal-over-time spell that speeds up the target's health regeneration, causing them to heal by an amount equal to 25% of their maximum health over the course of 5 seconds. Because this spell is a health regen buff instead of a direct heal, Melethil can get a lot more health out of this spell if he uses it on a tank as opposed to someone with a small HP bar like himself. Instant-cast, with a 6-second cooldown (reduced to 4 by Staff of Shu'rima).

Respite: A single-target spell with a 1-second cast time (reduced to .66 seconds by Staff of Shu'rima) that restores the target's stamina, by an amount equal to their maximum stamina, over the course of 10 seconds. Doesn't have any cooldown, but has a rather hefty mana cost that keeps it from being spammed recklessly, though not to an extent that it can't be used when needed.

Calm Mind: A single-target spell with an instant cast time and a 20-second cooldown (reduced to 13 seconds by Staff of Shu'rima). Calm Mind is a mana regeneration spell that increases the target's mana regeneration, causing them to regain an amount of mana equal to their total mana over the course of 10 seconds. Casting any spells, taking damage, or moving, will remove the Calm Mind buff, and Melethil has to channel this spell, meaning both he and his target must be perfectly still and not do anything else. The mana cost is negligible, but the spell is only half as effective on Clerics, meaning Melethil can only get half of his mana bar back by using this.

Cleanse: A spell that removes debuffs from an ally. The mana cost is low, but increases with each use in the same fight, as well as with how many debuffs - and what type of debuffs- have to be removed. Cleanse can only remove debuffs that come from magic, poison, or disease; a bleed effect caused by a physical wound can't be Cleansed. 15-second cooldown (reduced to 10 by Staff of Shu'rima).

Power Word: Shield: A spell that costs 10% of the user's total mana, and gives a single target a protective bubble that absorbs damage equal to 50% of the user's total mana. Due to investing enough skill points into it, Melethil's Power Word: Shield's bubble also bursts after 10 seconds if it hasn't absorbed the maximum possible damage, healing nearby allies for the remaining amount. 20-second cooldown (reduced to 13 seconds by Staff of Shu'rima).

Holy Circle: An area-of-effect heal-over-time spell. The mana cost is significant, but using Holy Circle creates a healing circle. Allies who stand inside the circle will be healed over time. The circle lasts for 10 seconds, and heals for about the same amount as one use of Heal per 2 seconds. 30-second cooldown (reduced to 20 by Staff of Shu'rima).

Smite: The only damaging spell Melethil really uses, simply because he invests most of his skill points into raw healing power. Smite is an instant-cast spell with a 5-second (reduced to 3 by Staff of Shu'rima) cooldown. Upon casting Smite, Melethil calls down a blast of holy fire to burn the enemy with, immediately dealing a small amount of holy damage and dealing an equal amount over the next 5 seconds.

Real-World Identity

Name: Haruka Hirasawa

Gender: Female

Age: 18

[spoiler=Biography]Haruka has always been a massive fan of all things RPG. She loves the immersion of being cast into a whole new world with a brand-new identity, and has been into roleplaying for over a decade. When a new RPG came out, Haruka was on it like a lioness on its prey. She'd even gained a bit of a following online posting guides on how to really get into the immersion of a game and how to make a given character when unsure. And that wasn't all Haruka did either. Not by a long shot.

Haruka was also a doujin artist, not that she ever released under anything even vaguely resembling her real name. Haruka's doujins have always been heavy on shonen ai elements, with her original works often featuring elves and desert kingdoms; she claims to have quite the thing for them. When Bluefire's beta went up, Haruka saw the chance to create the character she could most enjoy playing. All of her desires given physical form. Melethil. She sent in an application to join the game's beta, and perhaps because of her experience and reputation as a roleplayer, she got in and was given an in-depth guide to the game's lore, which she was free to read before creating her character.

For the next year and a half, Haruka seemed to drop off the face of the internet world. Her doujin production grinded to a halt, her roleplaying articles became few and far between, and getting in touch with her at all was becoming rare. The reason? Bluefire. Simply put, Haruka was having the time of her life getting to actually be her character, instead of just looking at them and choosing the appropriate dialogue options. She single-handedly reported the most bugs and balance issues regarding the Cleric sub-class due to the absurd amounts of time she spent logged in, and mere hours before the game was properly released, she released an extensive guide on every in, out, left, and right of the Cleric.

Haruka did not expect it to be her final contribution to the internet, though at this rate, she fears it may well have been. She - as with all the beta testers - has been trapped in Bluefire since its official release. But she'll be damned if she breaks character just because of that. Haruka has managed to keep the persona of Melethil going strong for four months now, and she doesn't show any signs of stopping.

Trivia

Haruka's gone out of her way to figure out an in-universe biography for Melethil. The super-short version is that he grew up as an orphan living in a temple in Xyra, and although he had a talent for healing, he had trouble getting along with the priests and priestesses due to him having a hard time finding faith in Xyrus. He eventually grew up (not that his appearance suggests that) and took off to the desert to explore, finding an old ruin to take shelter in during a sandstorm, and thus began his love of old relics after he found a weathered and faded medallion.

Melethil seems to be more at ease when negotiating with women. Inversely, he seems to be more confident with male allies, and will likely prioritize healing the men over the women if there aren't any circumstances pressuring him to cast gender aside (such as the only tank in the group being a woman).

[spoiler=Beware High Levels in a Class Many Die Young (WIP)]

Personal Information (WIP)

Name: Inari

Age of Appearance: 32

Gender: Male

[spoiler=Appearance:]epgNf5a.png

[spoiler=Personality:]Confidence. Caution. Performance.

Both of them joining as beta-testers for Bluefire was an attempt to help Michael find an outlet, especially with Player-vs-Player and be able to enjoy the sensation of giving and receiving pain.

Now that deaths are final in Bluefire, Antonio can't help but wonder if he made a mistake in potentially bringing in a murderer...

Personal Information

Name: Melethil

Age of Appearance: 13

Gender: Male

[spoiler=Appearance]NZcEWJU.jpg

Will be looking over these shortly. And while it should be fairly obvious from the rest of your application, I did forget to put in a section including the character's race. So when y'all have time, would you mind putting that in under the personal information?

EDIT: I've got a skype chat started, so if you aren't in it send me your info and you can join the meme parade

He believes that he can take on any challenge thrown at him with ease - this is the prime reason why he became a streamer in the first place, after all. Despite his arrogant and sarcastic way of talking, he is a careful strategist, planning out his moves as he makes them. If his plans go awry, however, he is able to adapt to the situation on the fly.

He is very competitive, striving to be the best in whatever he is trying to do. This had lead to him being argumentative, constantly getting into squabbles with his friends. His general hot-headed nature and sarcastic way of speaking do not help situations at all. He rarely backs down from a fight, and when he speaks he says what he thinks. Despite his hot-blooded nature and recklessness, he is actually quite the tactician, and is able to think up of something quickly on the spot.

Lichethro and Kevin have near identical personalities, as he doesn't really do much role playing in that regard.

[spoiler=Bio]

It had been a week since the incident. Lichethro had partied up with some of the moderator of his stream that had been trapped with them - luckily, they had a rather well-rounded team with tanks, healers, and DPS. They managed to get through the initial slaughter without any casualties, although there were many close calls, especially with their Duelist. They formed a small guild to increase their odds of survival and, due to Lichethro feeling partially responsible, made it their goal to try and recruit as many of his viewers that were stuck as possible.

Despite the horror and dread of the whole situation, it was impossible to deny that there was some sense of fun to the whole ordeal. Naturally, Lichethro became a sort of tactician of his team, commanding both his members and the legion of undead he had control over, quickly becoming the highest leveled character in the guild. All of this was going straight into his head, feeding his already big ego. He started becoming more reckless, trying out harder dungeons and going for rarer loot.

This lust for power lead to them going into a rather high leveled dungeon - they were just barely able to meet the level requirement for it. There were also rumors of this specific dungeons - people gave it the nickname "The Graveyard" due to how many lives it had claimed and due to the overall aesthetic. However, due to his beta knowledge, he knew there was a rare artifact in there. Despite the objection of the other guild members, they reluctantly went on with his plan of taking on the dungeon.

It was all going well until they reached the raid boss - a large, cloaked lich known as "The Reaper". It was a long fought battle, but eventually Lichethro's guild won. However, it was not without a cost - one of their members had perished during the fight. The cause of the young Duelist's death was due to Lichethro's recklessness, as he had commanded her to perform a rather risky attack. Taking her death permanently, he took the Grave Masquerade and, leaving the rest of the loot for his guild, left the group to become a solo player. Since the incident, he has roamed the land as a solo player. He has recently heard rumors that necromancers have the ability to revive dead players. While skeptical, he still pursues the possibility in case there's a way for him to undo his mistakes. However, his powers as a player were limited by his status as a solo player - he doubted that he could continue with his pursuit on his own. Reluctantly, he decided to join a guild in order to become stronger and, subconsciously, as a form of trying to repent for his mistake. Luckily, due to his fame and a local player recruiting, he was able to join a guild that seemed to be comprised of other beta testers.

Real-World Information

Name: Kevin Holmes
Gender: Male
Age: 24
[spoiler=Bio]

Kevin Holmes is a well-known streamer, known for streaming many JRPG games and, on occassion, MMOs. While he was more familiar with single-player JRPGs like the Terminal Tale series, he was no stranger to the world of MMOs. In fact, he would apply most of his JRPG knowledge into MMOs - the ideas of buffs and debuffs came second nature to him. He made splashes in the MMO world as a rather famous solo player, although he obviously didn't make it as far as he could without a guild. Wanting to get better, he started making guilds to party up with the people who watched his stream.

His fame had let his get early access and review copies of many games, even getting beta access to big events. When word was about the contest to join the beta for Bluefire, Kevin jumped onto that opportunity immediately. Unsurprisingly, with his skill and his fame, he managed to get into the beta despite the harsh competition. Obviously proud of himself, him mind started wandering at the possibility of streaming a VRMMORPG. However, those dreams were quickly shut down when he was told what he was and wasn't able to stream. Needless to say, the restrictions were very strict, only being able to stream a few hours of the game.

Upset, but not defeated, he devoted himself to try and make the best with what he had. He was determined to pack as much information as he could during his small time frame. Choosing a race and class was rather easy - he almost always chose mage-like classes, and the necromancer in particular called out to him. Choosing an elf was another no brainer, due to their natural affinity with magic, although he late regret not picking Dwarf due to their surprising bonus to necromancy.

While the VR aspect of the whole RPG was mind blowing and a lot to take in, he quickly got a grip of the system - luckily, he hadn't picked a high mobility class like the Duelist, as it made the whole interface a lot easier to deal with. Slowly as he played more and more, he started streaming less and less, He had become completely immersed in the game, checking for bugs and in general pushing himself as far as he could. As the beta closed, he returned to streaming other MMOs and JRPGs. However, none of them seemed to scratch the itch that Bluefire had left.

As soon as the game officially released, Kevin immediately hopped onto it. He planned to start extended streams of the game during the next week of the game, however, he had invited many of his viewers to play the game with him. It was all fun and games until the incident happened. Luckily, almost all of his viewers he invited had managed to log out before being trapped. However, those who had been there with him during the beta had become trapped like him. The best course of action, of course, would be to group up with the remaining viewers until they were able to form a guild.

Trivia: Kevin has been known to do occasional Art Streams, despite his artistic skills being rather mediocre.

[spoiler= "Boom Boom" Brando!]

"Keep count o' yer kills!  Every kill is a pint!"

1GwWXsN.png

---

Personal Information

Name:  Not Brand.  Not Brando.  It's Brrrrrrrrrrrrando!  Or Boom, for short.
Age of Appearance: 50
Gender:  Male
[spoiler=Appearance

qIOQJs0.png

Brando is a dwarf, meaning he is naturally, vertically challenged.  He stands at approximately four feet and six inches tall.  He is a bit stocky, but has quite a lot of muscle and strength beneath his armor.  Beneath his cloak, his hair is spiked into a badass, red Mohawk.  His eyes are a pearlescent blue, created to especially bring out the shine and color in his beard.  Thanks to lots of tedious grooming, Brando has managed to get his beard to flow like a gentle river over his face.  It is as soft and lush as a meadow in the spring.  He typically wields a flint lock pistol in his left hand, and a pickaxe in the other.

[spoiler=Personality

There is nothing quiet about Brando.  He talks in all caps, all the time.  Everything about him is loud, bold, blunt, and tough,  Except for his beard.

Brando is very outspoken.  As a character, he is the exact opposite of his creator.  He was created to be this upstanding, hard working, tough guy who thinks himself a hero who can't be beaten.  Brando's nature is that of a wild card.  He loves to have a good time, but he loves his work even more.   Brando deems it his duty to be the life of the party, no matter the guests.  What's most redeemable about Brando is that, despite being a Dwarf, he gets along well with most any race of person or creature.  He's a very hospitable dwarf, even though he is a bit boisterous.

Brando's nature is also his downfall.  Often, he doesn't know when to stop and calm down, instead of cutting loose all of the time.  It shows in his actions.  He's very reckless, and tends to get himself and his allies in trouble.  In all of his boisterous, bold, and wild behavior, he sometimes forgets that he has chosen to dabble in what is effectively the most dangerous talents of all:  explosives.  Bridges and walls crumble at their might.  So you can imagine that Brando tends to neglect the potential effects that explosives have on the people around him.  But Brando, when he does screw up, will often go overboard to make up for it.  He hates making mistakes.  That's the single trait he and his creator share.

[spoiler=Biography]

The events leading up to Brando joining Ithaca are a lot less wild than he is.  Brando spent most of his created life below the surface world, in a large Mining Company called DM Power.  He found great success, digging deep into the world and stumbling into veins of gold, diamond, and even platinum.  It literally paid to be a Corsair.  But all the riches in the world couldn't bring him joy.  There were very few players who found joy in being miners, the way Brando did.  As a result, he played mostly alone, with NPCs.

He grew weary, even with his riches.  He wanted someone to share them with.  Someone who found the spark he did in both his explosives, and his personality.  Brando left Dwarven Mining Power after three months, and ventured on his own to the surface world.  He spent well over a month's time traveling, as far as his tiny legs could carry him.  The daylight was harsh on his tiny Dwarf eyes, which were used to the darkness of the underground world.  However, thanks to his own clever engineering, shady glasses helped to mitigate the damage to his sight.  And sooner rather than later, Brando carried himself all the way to the desert city Haven of Xyra.  It was there he came across a peculiar message in his H.U.D. from the global message board.  A particular guild--Ithaca--was recruiting new members.  Some four months and two weeks after he had begun his journey, Brando was becoming a part of a team!  With real human players!  He couldn't have been more excited.

It was here he would be able to live the way he had hoped to.  With players, who sought glory and good cheer as he did.

Real-World Identity:

Name:  Macy Greer

Gender:  Female
Age:  19
Bio:  Macy is a very soft-spoken loner and nerd.  She has trouble making friends because her mind is always on video games, anime, and other nonsense.  When she finds someone who shares an interest with her, she tends to go overboard with sharing, and pushes them away.  This causes her to--in return--close herself off in an emotional shell, and resort to her alternate online persona in Brando (and many of her other created characters), where she is wild, free, and much less shy.  Since her time in Bluefire, she has matured some, but Brando has not.
Trivia:  She loves sweets but she also loves spicy food.  Macy is also a strong believer in karma.

Tank 'n' Spank

x393wz.jpg
Personal Information
x393wz.jpg

Name: Stacks4Daze. Goes by "Stacks" or "Daze".
Age of Appearance: 22
Gender: Female
Race: Human

[spoiler=Appearance]

Xh0LdmY.png

Stack's character is a fairly standard model, standing at a tall 6 feet with a fit build. Without armor she weighs about 170 pounds.

[spoiler=Personality]

A lot of roleplayers, when they pick the "Tank" class, will often act that role. Especially if their class is a religious one, such as a paladin. Stacks is just about the least tank or paladin person you'll meet. Stacks4Daze is a rowdy, competitive player who joined the game to be the best. Near the beginning she and her friends began as sort of rookie-hunters, harassing low-level players for shits and giggles. Since the news spread of being trapped, however, she's not one to do that anymore.

Stacks4Daze is impatient, especially when it comes to her teammates. She's not one to admit mistakes, though she can often be the one to make them. She can also be very selfish, often more concerned with what she can get out of an outing and about her reward than anything else; often wanting things to be done her way. If she doesn't sound very pleasant to be around, this depends on what your personality is. Some find her funny, fun, clever, and generally a party to be around. Others will find her mean, aggressive, and generally abrasive. Regardless, in most situations, Stacks is a rude, rowdy girl. Many people will know her as the kind of person to fart loudly in front of the pope and just not care. She carries this attitude through her walk in life, and carries very little concern for what others are going to think of her.

This isn't to say that she's an irredeemable jerk, but there's a rough exterior one would need to break through to see her more genuine qualities.

[spoiler=Biography]

Stacks4Daze joined the beta for Bluefire with a group of her friends. It had been a long time since any of them had had any fun in any sort of MMO game, and joining this game was a nostalgic trip for all of them. They started out with a very average fair; they did some quests, they trolled some players, they had their fun. Things were fun for all of them, and it was the closest Stacks had been to her friends in a long time. When the beta was over, they were eager to join the full game, and did so once it was released. When they realized they couldn't leave, they decided that if they were stuck in there, they might as well play the game.

None of her friends are around now. Truth be told, none of them really got along that well deep down, and in tight situations that required a lot of teamwork, a lot of trust, their team dynamics fell apart. In the end, only a couple of them were left, including Stacks. There was a falling out because of the losses of the others in their group. Fingers were pointed at whose fault was whose, who should have done what, and who might actually be dead. Stacks hasn't seen any of those friends for a few months now, and isn't sure if any of them are alive.

After their group disbanded, Stack's rowdy and fun way of playing the game mellowed out considerably. Her trolling and harassment of new players died out, and she soon took to joining smaller quests as a freelancer to keep making money and stay in the game. Eventually, she saw recruitment ads for a new guild, Ithaca. Stacks4Daze had avoided joining any guilds since the falling out with her friends, but after playing the game solo for so long she felt she should give it a chance; not only the guild, but herself another chance for meeting some new friends.

  • Sunstrike: Imbues the next attack with a Fire damage and impacts with an explosive effect. Damage is equal to 1.5x base damage. 10 second cooldown. 8% Mana cost.
  • Sunwall: Creates a temporary (30 second) horizontal wall of fire. Does not damage allies. Blocks light, ranged projectiles. 20 second cooldown after wall disappears. 30% Mana cost.
  • Sunmail: Works on user or any nearby ally. Lasts 30 seconds. Grants +50% bonus to defense and +60% increases in resistance to Fire and Lightning damage at the cost of -50% resistance to Water and Ice damage. 15 second cooldown after armor disappears. 25% Mana cost.

Name: Ashley "Ash" Compton
Gender: Female
Age: 25

[spoiler=Biography]

Ashley is what the Japanese would call a "NEET". Following her graduation from college with a liberal arts degree, Ashley has only been able to find temporary positions at various grocery or department stores. Back in college, she had a very regular gaming group with her friends, and they played all sorts of things. Between shooters, RPGs, and some MOBAs, Ashley would often put her studies on the back-burner to go hang out with friends. Her parents were always on her case; constantly calling her irresponsible and lazy. Having never really gotten out of her rebellious phase, Ashley was fast to move out, but only just barely makes ends meet between living and her hobby with gaming.

Since graduating college, Ashley was only able to find so much time to be able to hang out with her friends, and their get-togethers grew much less frequent. It wasn't until Bluefire's release that they managed to bring the group back together for one last romp, just like the good old days.

"Quit Asking!  Hairless was an option, Okay?"

Name: Reebus

Age of Appearance: 30

Gender: Male

Race: Khepura

[spoiler=Appearance:]

cEjxEgb.png

There is no spot, nor patch of hair on Reebus' entire body.  His tale is long and slender, and prefers to curl towards the tip.  Both of his eyes are blue, and his whiskers are short, and tend to bend slightly downwards.  You do not want to see him naked.

[spoiler=Personality:]

Reebus tends to be a little rigid towards anyone he's just met at first, tending to mock those he meets as extras in his story with a cocky tone.  He thinks less of those who chose any main class besides the caster classes, and prides himself on his high Mana and Power stats, that he continuously pours into after every level up.  In this way, he is very arrogant of other's skills, and praises those who shine in his eyes.  Even though their classes are set in stone, he will try to sway other's into becoming Shaman's as well, after this whole ordeal is over with after all.

In combat, Reebus tries his best to come up with battle-winning strategies, that mainly involve others distracting monsters so that he may land a final blow.  He always loves being the one who saves the day.  Typically, when his life is threatened after a certain plan has gone awry, and he receives too much aggro, he will desperately run and drop any plan that he may have thought up just moments ago.  Once rescued, Reebus will almost always thank his rescuer, and then follow it up with a back-handed compliment.  People on his friend's list call this the 'Reebus 1 2 Combo'.

Annoyingly, he always tries to establish that he is a feline by interjecting cat puns into his speech pattern.  It's almost become a second language to him by now, If Khepura's already didn't have a second tongue.

[spoiler=Biography:]

Upon being stuck in the virtual world, Reebus did the only thing that he could naturally think of:  Become the protagonist!  However, everywhere he went, people tended to laugh at a Khepura parading around as some kind of hero of the story.  So instead of relying on those who saw him unfit for the role, he decided to face the game alone, often getting his ass handed to him by mobs of enemies.  This was a MMO...it was hard for a caster class, such as him, to be able to do anything tough on their own.  So instead of focusing on combat, he mastered the ways of the HUD, and how to maximize it's efficiency.

On his journey of mastery over the HUD system, he stumbled across a player who had mistakenly got themselves glitched into some sort of crevice in the world.  Reebus looked at the player's information, and discovered that the unfortunate player was an Oracle with the display name, Delphi2.  Upon rescuing the player by reaching into the crevice and pulling them out, Reebus asked why the player, a squishier support class, was out and about by themselves.  Although he didn't much care for the girl's story, he decided that the lady owed him something along the lines of her undivided devotion in worshiping him.  Instead, she offered friendship, and a partnership to start a new guild...one that would find a way back to the real world.  Although he was a bit reluctant at first, seeing as how an Oracle had such big plans, he agreed, and the two created Ithaca.

[spoiler=Mask of Echoes (Khepura Fit)]

arr5oPS.jpg?1

A shaman-only head-equip that can only be received as a random world drop.  It increases the wearer's power, Mana, and Health stats.  It also allows the user to copy a spell they have cast in the last three seconds, and let's them cast it again immediately, regardless of cooldowns.  However, this passive only works every five spells cast.

[spoiler=The Wanderer's Robe]

Vk03GTT.jpg?1

A basic Quest Reward item that Reebus received upon travelling to town's yet touched by the common player among Blue-Fire.  It gives a modest boost to Agility and Mana.  It has a unique skill that allows for a slight and temporary increase to all stats once per in-game day.

[spoiler=Nature's Roar]

nykJhca.jpg?1

Reebus' pride and joy, his first epic drop in a dungeon, the Nature's Roar.  It increases his Mana and Power Drastically.  Passively, it grants a bonus damage boost towards all elemental attacks in a ten foot radius of the staff.  Upon activation, and a cut in half of one's current mana, the staff lets loose a booming explosion of low elemental damage.  It provides great knockback, and allows for one to get some distance from a foe.

[spoiler=Sample Skills:]

  • Sky Crack:  A Lightning bolt that is brought forth from the user's hand.  Fast cast, and medium damage.
  • Storm: The caster selects an area of effect, where multiple casts of Sky Crack rain down on enemies, causing medium damage over a cast time.  The cast time can last as long as the caster has mana, but the mana amplifications intensify every 3 seconds of casting.  The user cannot cast other spells while they cast Storm.
  • Spirit Flame: A fireball technique, conjured by the spirt's a shaman has domain over.  Medium Cast time, Medium Damage.  Applies a Burn Debuff that slowly drains small amounts of health for 15 seconds.  Debuffs of Burn can stack, causing major prolonged damage.
  • Molten Sphere: A giant fireball technique that fuses earth elemental damage into it's core damage pool.  Long Cast Time, Huge Damage.  May Stun the target.
  • Return to Nature: An earth technique that turns ground beneath a target into a liquid state for a brief period of time.  Larger areas of effect require a longer cast time.
  • Spirit Conductor The Caster plants themselves into a meditative state, and becomes vulnerable for a cast time of 10 seconds.  During the cast time, the caster pleads to the spirits to lend them strength, allowing for rapid Mana Regeneration.  However, the user cannot cast other spells, or move, during the cast time.

[spoiler=The First Thing I Will Call An App (WIP)] Personal Information

x393wz.jpg

Name: Racheon
Age of Appearance: 23
Gender: Male
Race: Khepura
[spoiler=Appearance:]khajiit12e_by_temiree-d8av0jz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:] Just another player in this death game. Another Khepura, another fighter and another person searching on the map for an exit, is what he describes himself as. However, he's always being referred as a unique paw and an amazing swordsman.

Racheon is as cold as ice. He always turns down requests to join another guild. He's tired of people's compliments, it's not like they're getting him anywhere. He very rarely interacts with other players and he never remembers the people he meets, no matter their looks. In fact, he only ever recalls talking to NPCs and some pesky goblins, while confronting them in their malicious acts. As a character, he is a Khepura duelist with unmatched power, in his level group anyway. As a person, he is a sugary treat put in a freezer for way too long. He used to be kind, helping less powerful players on their way. Now, he is focused on himself, he needs nobody else, he's a, solo player, if you will.

He spends his days grinding and collecting loot, and then, when night falls and all is dark, he strolls to the Glacier Islands to see the natural light show, occasionally trading with the other players there for rare loot.
His grinding methods are unknown. Anybody hearing about him would easily assume he's in the front line in a siege, but in actuality, he takes whatever chance to escape he can take. So what is method? How does level up so fast and so quickly? Well, that's for him to know, and you to figure out.

[spoiler=Biography:] The day he found out he was chosen to beta test Bluefire was the best day of his life. Ever since it was announced, he dug as deep as possible through the blocked off rabbit hole that was Bluefire. His heart and soul were set on it. All his thoughts were always being blocked off by Bluefire. "What is it going to feel like?", "How will the different races play out?" and the largest thought of all, "Will I get chosen?". It was all he hoped for. He prayed, he begged to be chosen for beta. Imagine it. He was going to be one of the only humans on earth to play the most anticipated game in VR history. Days, weeks passed. And then, the day had come. He pressed the power button, he logged on and checked his email. He was chosen! His heart soared through the sky. His worthless begging had worked. All his previous achievements up until this point were worthless compared to this. After tweeting, screaming and being happy in general, he started thinking. He remembered something. He had tried regular MMOs before. He had made accounts, logged in and entered the game. However, soon enough, he saw all the maxed out players. He saw how powerful and more experienced they were compared to him. And he logged out and never touched it again. He was afraid that he would feel that way with Bluefire. He thought some more and came to the conclusion that the vast majority of players would be MMO pros. He felt outclassed, out of his league. But he realized something. This is a VRMMO! It's the kind of experience anyone would dream of trying, never mind beta testing. So he stood up, he put on his Empath, and entered the beta of Bluefire.

He did what anyone would do. He did some quest, socialized with other players and leveled up. It was just what he had hoped it was. A VR experience that felt like real life and a gamer's dream. It felt like history was re-written and there were seven races. It felt like if he went and touched the ground, he could feel the same kind swishing like it did in real life. He never wanted to leave this place, but alas, he had to. He had a life, a job and he couldn't chuck those in the bin. So played Bluefire everyday after sorting out his priorities. Then, one fateful day, people looked worried for some reason. He asked one of them why they where so distressed, and he never forgot their words. "Are you the only person who doesn't know? Go on, check your menu, try to log out, YOU CAN'T! WE CAN'T ESCAPE FROM THIS WORLD! And what's even worse, rumors are going around that people are dying here and in IRL! Soon enough, we'll all die!" The man sounded insane, like somebody from an asylum, but he was speaking the truth. There was no log out button, no way to escape, but one thing still bothered him. People dying? Sounds impossible, right? But after a long while, it all made sense. The electrical waves could be strengthened to the point that they could kill. "How could we've been so blind?", he always asks himself. Soon enough, he brushed his fears off, and did what he did best, he thought. He thought about, how we could survive here, until Crosslife finds a way to get us out. He came to the conclusion that with teamwork and cooperation they could survive. And so, he spent time helping other people and it all turned out well.

"I have now been trapped here for [] months, [] weeks and [] days. I do nothing but work hard and survive." He says this to himself everyday before his daily routine. He is alone. He only gets colder every day. But this day seemed different. He had seen an ad for a called called Ithicle or something and part of him ignored it, but the other half wanted to join it. One half of him wanted to stay solo,  the other half wanted to group up with some players. Just to shut up his other half, he decided to join it. If it was full off low level idiots, he would leave and he could go back to solo.

Simple.

As.

That.

[spoiler=UrHoleHell, A Noob's Nightmare in Sentient Form (WIP)]

zWMoaTF.png
"What I find out here in this god forsaken world is mine. Get your own damn loot."
Personal Information
Name: UrHoleHell
Gender: Female
Race: Goblin
Age of Appearance: Late Teens/Early 20's
[spoiler=Appearance:]Goblins are the shortest race in the entire game, even being out-heightened by the average Dwarf of all beings. So it's not surprising to see any Bluefire character, NPC or otherwise, tower over UrHoleHell's avatar. After all, she only stands at 127cm (4' 2") in height and, unlike the typical dwarven avatar which would have bulk to make up for their shortness, only looks to weigh in at 35kg (77lbs) at the very most. The curvature to her body is there, but not at an outlandish degree; assuming it can be measured in inches and centimeters, the BWH ratio would prove to be 20-15-18 and 51-38-46 respectively. UrHoleHell's avatar can be distinguished from a more typical goblin through her blood red skin tone as opposed to the usual green, ocean blue hair, cobalt eyes and a series of four red dots on her forehead. She also wears a ghost-white Korean jeogori, which would look very similar to the Japanese kimono if not for the uniquely styled hood that appears to come with it.

eb13e7bf71d52a40f53fad3628d5a9519a7686c9

[spoiler=Personality:]She may have picked the one most despicable races in all of Bluefire from a mythos standpoint, but UrHoleHell just does not care. She's extremely unapologetic about the actions she ultimately takes. She has quite the level of sarcasm to her as well, and she's not afraid to say what she thinks about a person right to their faces, regardless of what kind of light she'd put them at. Of course, this gets her in life with no friends in the slightest, but she doesn't really care all that much. After all UrHoleHell has never been much of a people person, isn't here to make friends to begin with. She's just here to play the game, and she's not gonna let any one person ruin the experience for her. And if she receives any flak at all, then she'll either dish it right back out in style, or she'll just ignore it completely and stay in the zone.

This may lead to the suggestion that UrHoleHell is more of a lone wolf type of character. However, although no-one would be wrong for assuming such and she won't deny that that falls in line with her personal preferences, UrHoleHell has proven time and again that she can actually perform somewhat decently in a team. She typically does her own thing and leaves her teammates to sort themselves out, however... and considering she's not the communicative type, this works out way more often than it should. A lot of this has to do with UrHoleHell's sheer mechanical skills, which are easily on par with any professional gamer, and the worst type of opponent one can face online is someone with her mechanical talent playing to their utmost aggression. This alone allows UrHoleHell to pull her own weight, if not carry the entire team on her back. While her PvP capabilities are a valued asset in an MMORPG setting for defending a team against rogue PKer's, the problem comes when splitting any loot that team finds. UrHoleHell is very possessive of any loot that she picks up; even if a specific item is almost useless to her and much better suited to a specific teammate, she won't relinquish it easily. She'll often set a questionably high trade-off for it, and she'll never back down from said trade-off. Players often wind up dueling UrHoleHell for the item they want from her instead but, while this a lot of immediate hassle, it presents a completely different issue in trying to down such a mechanically talented foe.

It's amazing to see how few things actually faze UrHoleHell at all. Sure, she has her pet peeves like everyone else, but they don't seem able to alter her temperament at all like they would any other person that would have to deal with that very same situation. UrHoleHell's levelheadedness can prove to be unreal at times, and she combats any and all setbacks she comes across with sheer willpower and stubbornness. This latter quality is fickle in that it can be both a good and a bad thing. Great for persevering against a difficult challenge, not so hot for making friends with other players or establishing alliances.

In any case, UrHoleHell has no quelms with lending her talent to any given guild... so long as she gets to do things her way.

[spoiler=Sample Skills:][spoiler=Windwalk:]Allows the caster to turn invisible for a short period of time, allowing him or her to remain unseen regardless of where they go or what direction the enemy is facing. This skill is a staple for assassins, as it not only allows for a quick escape in emergencies, but it's also a quick and easy means to proc unseen damage bonuses when beginning a fight against an enemy. Attacking or casting an Offensive Skill prematurely ends this Skill's effect. Skill Points invested in this Skill increase its duration. Skill Points invested in Shadow Flash also increase its duration, albeit by a lessened amount.

[spoiler=Disarm:]Gives the caster a chance to disarm an opposing player's weapon. If this is successful, that weapon drops to the ground and can be picked up by any player. Skill Points invested in this Skill increase its success rate. Skill Points invested in Seize Weapon also increase this skill's success rate, albeit by a lessened amount.

[spoiler=Seize Weapon:]<Requires at least 1 Skill Point in Disarm to learn>

Gives the caster a chance to steal an opposing player's equipped weapon and add it to his or her inventory, at a moderate Thieving Penalty. If it fails, then the opposing player is either disarmed or unaffected. Skill Points in this Skill decrease the Thieving Penalty, which may even be nullified upon heavy investment. Skill Points invested in Disarm increase the likelihood of disarmament should the steal attempt fail.

[spoiler=Shadow Flash:]<Can only target enemies if they have their backs to the caster>

<Cannot be cast if seen by an enemy>

Instantly transports the caster behind targeted cover or straight at an enemy's back, inflicting heavy initial damage in the case of the latter as well as always procing unseen damage bonuses. Has a limited range, making large leaps questionable at best and impractical at worst. Skill Points invested in this Skill increase damage dealt. Skill Points invested in Windwalk increase this Skill's range.

[spoiler=Poison Tip:]Allows all attacks and Offensive Assassin Skills to inflict poison damage onto an enemy over a set period of time. The total amount of poison damage sustained by the enemy is dependent on the damage inflicted by an attack or a casted Offensive Skill at its base. Skill Points invested in this Skill increase the total poison damage.

[spoiler=Fan of Knives:]<Requires an equipped Dagger or Throwing Knife to cast>

Allows the caster to spray a multitude of knives in all directions, inflicting moderate damage to all enemies surrounding the caster. Skill Points invested in this Skill increase the damage dealt. Skill Points invested in Storm of Knives increase this Skill's range.

[spoiler=Storm of Knives:]<Requires at least 1 Skill Point in Fan of Knives to learn>

<Requires an equipped Dagger or Throwing Knife to cast>

Locks the caster in a spinning animation, spraying knives in all directions for a good length of time, and dealing moderate damage each time an enemy is hit. Skills Points invested in this Skill increase its range and the damage dealt. Skill Points invested in Fan of Knives increase this Skill's duration.

Real-World Identity:
Name: Mia Holland

Gender: Female
Age: 13[spoiler=Appearance:]Height: 145cm (4' 9")
Weight: 47kg (103lbs)
BWH Ratio: 16-15-15 (in)/41-38-38 (cm)

adaf352abbfae12d5c4d81ba45880f82fa80d691

[spoiler=Biography:]Mia Holland had been playing video games ever since she was 5 years old. Back then she didn't think too much about playing online, and she certainly wasn't up to playing with anyone else. As one would expect, Mia started off small and only had a small collection to choose from, as her mother Maisie had a full-time job as an attorney as thus rarely had the time and could only play on the weekends where she had days off. The few games that Maisie did have on hand weren't really suitable for a 5-year-old Mia to be playing, but the young girl had probably picked one of the worst ones.

Main Theme Song: So What, by P!nk
Battle Theme Song: Doom (2016) OST: BFG Division
Ideal Voice Actresses: Chemari Leigh (En)/Yukari Tamura (Jp)
Tidbits of Trivia:

  • Both Mia and her mother Maisie were diagnosed with autism at childhood, albeit at opposing ends of the spectrum. Mia herself has been inflicted with severe autism as opposed to Maisie's mild, but they share a (unyielding in Mia's case) possessiveness of all items that they own, difficulties in adapting to changes in their routines, downright loathing being rushed out the door, a preference to minimize any and all social activities with others and a fear of crowds. Maisie is nowhere near as bad in this regard as Mia is, with the worst of it only coming to light if she takes on too much stress. On the other hand, Mia easily proves to be the more stubborn of the two, though this is likely due to being more heavily afflicted with her autism over any purposeful intention.
  • Mia is actually one of the first 5 people to have subscribed to a very certain online streamer, having valued his input and reviews for the various RPGs that were available right from the beginning of his career. It's debatable whether Mia was the streamer's 3rd, 4th or 5th subscriber, as two other people had subscribed at seemingly the exact same time. In any case, it was this input from the live streams that got Mia into gaming as a whole, and she now invests a heavy amount of her free time into this hobby. Unsurprisingly, this puts quite the strain on the relationship between Mia and Maisie.
  • During her experiences playing MOBA's and RPG's, Mia has proven to excel with the use of full DPS-orientated characters and builds. She will almost always prioritize such characters over anything else, assuming she has the chance for an early pick. She has shown a little flexibility in that she does relatively OK with tanks and will begrudgingly accept them if her favorite picks get sniped or if the others decide to neglect a tank for themselves, but she will absolutely refuse to play support under any circumstances. If she gets last pick and is expected to play support, she will probably just play one of her favorite DPS's anyway just to spite her so-called 'teammates', and if that causes her team to lose, then they should've thought of that before they left the support up to her.

[spoiler=Quite possibly the worst pirate you've ever heard of]

ABRnUDG.png?1

x393wz.jpg

Now, just to be clear, you have heard of me?x393wz.jpg

Personal Information:

x393wz.jpg

Name: Captain Roy Finch (username FlyingFinch)

Age of Appearance: I would say something about gracing the seas for 24 years, but the game has only been out a few months.

Gender: Was the all-around air of masculinity not enough to tip you off?

Race: You won't find rugged good looks like this on anything but a human, darling!

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Appearance:]

bCPtBO6.jpg

Standing at a respectable - nay, a monumental 179 centimeters, the renowned Captain Roy Finch is ne'er seen without his signature, or better yet famous black and white jacket. Though it may not look it, this outfit is actually lightly armored, but more importantly it looks damn cool. Purchased with hard-earned crescents from the haven Adrale. Another of his incredibly notable, if not entirely unforgettable features is the dark eye-patch covering his right peeper. Now, you may be wondering to yourself "How did such an invincible captain sustain such an injury?" or perhaps you surmise "He must be covering an eye so it can be used for night-vision, befitting of a nautical genius such as himself!" and the answer to that mystery is one you do not have the privilege to learn, for it is the Captain's greatest secret! As for the rest of his attire, the fantastic Captain Roy Finch strays away from the overly plumy and billowy clothing often worn by corsairs, as he knows that anything less than form-fitting and comfortable simply betrays his good looks.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:]

The Great Captain Roy Finch is an individual of few equal. Now, admittedly, he can be just the slightest on the fearful side, but truly, who wouldn't be if the world you were forced to live in was one that actively sought to end your life? But that is no huge issue! Even when he runs away, he does so courageously! After all, death would just be an escape! To live is to continue fighting against this nightmare! And fight I must! I... I mean he. Fight he must! Of course, Captain Finch's greatest strength lies not on the battlefield, but in glorious communion with others! He is most at home when sharing a round of whatever's cheapest with the people worthless enough to consider him an ally. And an ally he is! Though his priority is always with himself, he demonstrates unbelievable levels of selflessness, and definitely wouldn't sneak off to steal as many crescents as he could from the merfolk while his crew kept them occupied, before pinning the heist on said crew!

Though it may be difficult to believe of such a tremendous figure, the Great Captain Roy Finch is not without weakness! Try as he might, he can never manage to resist the allure of a good lady, and if anything could turn him to heroics it would be a damsel in distress! Now truly, this is not so much a flaw, as it is a side-effect of his own incredible unparalleled charms! You see, when one is a gift to womankind, if would be selfish to keep such a gift to oneself, and the Great Captain Roy Finch is anything if not selfish! Of course, this charm does extend beyond romantic pursuits. In fact, he is so immensely skilled in bluffing that if there is one thing that has been an asset to him over these few months, it has been his silver tongue! Silver as the crescents he has stolen, nay earned with it! When confronted with a truly difficult situation, his first impulse is to talk his way out of it, and talk he does! Though he isn't necessarily the strongest player on the server (though he definitely could give the toughest of them a run for their money in a fist-fight) he has survived as long as he has for a damn good reason. He has a dangerous wit about him, and knows how to use it.

[spoiler=Biography:]

The story of the Great Captain Roy Finch starts just as any hero's would: with a healthy amount of gambling and booze. As a beta tester, he had learned the behavior of NPCs in taverns quite well, and used this knowledge to effectively cheat the system, gaining massive amounts of crescents in a short time. Unfortunately, some of the bugs he intended to exploit for his riches had been patched, resulting in the one thing he never truly did expect: He was caught. Of course, he had already amassed himself a small fortune through his sheer expertise and tact and managed to use this to take himself to his own personal favorite Haven: Niska. By now, rumors were starting to spread about character death meaning permadeath, so he was more than grateful for his hesitation before throwing himself off a cliff in an attempt to log out.

After realizing he did not have the funds required to purchase the sloop he had in mind, he made the well-thought-out decision to steal one. The theft went better than he had expected, but nowhere near as well as he hoped, forcing him to dodge authorities as well as NPC pirates in his journeys along the Merchant's Coast. Over the course of a few months, he developed a small crew, just a guild of around a dozen, to assist him in his player-led piracy. This went wonderfully, up until a small altercation involving a group of merfolk and the booty of a lifetime, but that's all squared away now. Having become rich with the crescents of fish-people and separated from his crew in a definitely unrelated incidient, he was prepared to live as peaceful a life as he could alone on his ship in the open ocean, before noticing a strange message on the guild boards from an unknown member. Best case scenario, he gets out. Worst case,

he just found some more people to swindle out of their crescents.

[spoiler=Inventory:]

Flintlock Pistol x4: Since reloading these weapons is difficult to manage in the heat of battle, Captain Roy Finch demonstrates his immense combat prowess by holstering four of them, rather than just one! He has them holstered in a reverse position, choosing to use either a cross-draw or a cavalry draw, because those look way cooler than otherwise and he ain't no damn cowboy.

Armored Jacket: Deceptively well-armored, this leather jacket repels some damage. Additionally, it offers additional protection from various environmental effects, such as heat and cold. The last perk of the jacket is it gives him a +20% bonus to his bluff skill, because he looks so damn fine!

Court Sword: Thin an precise, this sword can pierce between layers and plates of armor, allowing it to ignore a portion of the defenses from many types of protection. This allows the strategically superior Captain Roy Finch to battle even heavily-armored enemies, despite having relatively low power!

Locksmith's Tools: These tools are crucial for use of Captain Roy Finch's lockpicking skill, and consists of a set of torsion wrenches to turn the cylinder of the lock, as well as various sizes of pins to manipulate the inner-workings of the lock. Additionally, it contains a skeleton key, which can open most simple lock designs.

[spoiler=Sample Skills:]

Bluff: The ever-ingenious Captain Roy Finch uses this skill almost constantly, allowing him to haggle for higher selling prices and lower buying prices, gain information from NPCs (and unwitting players!), and generally lie his way through thick and thin!

Scrounge: The main skill of the treasure-hunter skill tree, this allows the resourceful Captain Roy Finch to find little bits of treasure that might escape the attention of less adept adventurers!

Stealth: A skill available to any players of the Rogue class, this allows the elusive Captain Roy Finch to escape notice through non-magical means, giving him silent breathing and silent footsteps, as well as allowing him to move more effectively from shadow to shadow.

Sleight of Hand: This skill is part of the Treasure Hunter suite, allowing the deft Captain Roy Finch to manipulate objects with incredible dexterity, so much so that others have difficulty in identifying his precise movements. This can be used to perform card tricks, steal items without garnering attention, and escape from various binding (an especially useful skill when often opposing the law).

Lockpicking: An incredibly useful skill when crescents are the primary goal, this allows the Captain to open locks with ease, as long as he has the proper tools on him or can jury rig tools from other objects.

Real-World Identity:

x393wz.jpg

Name: James Dent

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Biography: James is fresh out of high-school (he played the beta during his senior year) and uses it as a form of escapism. In his real life, he was bullied quite a lot, but in-game he could be as brave or famous as he wanted. He had a job at the local movie theater, but obviously does not any longer, as he is a little bit preoccupied with being trapped within a death game.
