A complete list of new shorthand terms for Yu-Gi-Oh!

With life points already LP, and the graveyard soon to be the GY, it is clear that card texts must be shortened at all costs. In this spirit, I have taken time from my blank schedule to compile a list of further changes that could easily be incorporated, to improve the flow of the game. Less time reading, more time dueruing! The changes are ordered (almost) alphabetically, so they can be read as efficiently as they will make reading cards.

Must be Sy Sd & can't be SSd by other ways. This c's max # of atks/B P = the # of non-Tu ms used as its Sy Ml. OPT, when a c/e is act (QE): You can n the act, & if you do, dy it. When this c leaves the f: You can SS 1 "Shooting Star Dragon" from your ED.

If this card is dyd by c e: You can add 1 non-FR wm from your GY to your h. You can only use each e of this c OPT. 

 

I also propose changing "you" to "u", your to "ur". We could have "unaffected" be "ua".

Also, this stuff is actually fun to think up.

 

If this c is NS: You can send 1 "Zoodiac" c from your MD to the GY. An X m whose original type is bw & has this c as X ml gains this e.

●OPT: You can d 1 X ml from this c; SS 1 ~ from your h/MD

 

Changelog:

References to a card name that match that it is printed on can be replaced with ~.

That's a cool idea but sadly won't translate well on cards that are members of 2 archetypes. E.g. Void Trap Hole. Not to mention it won't be as clear in cards with generic names, like "Soldier", "Magical", etc.

I think I get it. Here's Mecha Quasar Cyber Dragon Infinity.

OPT, you can also XS ~ by using "Cyber Dragon Nova" you ct as the XM. (XM att to that m also become XM on this c.) This c g 200 ATK for each XM att to it. OPT: you can t 1 fu Atk Pos m your o ct; att it to this c as XM. OPT, during either p's t, when a c/E is actd: You can d 1 XM from this c; n the act, + if you do, dy it.

You can also X S this c by using a RK 8 "Galaxy-Eyes" X M you cl as ml. (Tr its mls to this c.) OPT: You can d 1 ml from this c, then t 1 c on the f; dy it. If this X S'd c you cl, is dy'd by b with an o's atking m, or dy'd by an o's c e, & sent to your GY: You can t 1 "Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon" in your GY; SS it.

Chances are, this would probably hurt the game rather than help it. It hurts my brain and while some of you guys think this is fun to think about, I'm not amused. If I have to spend an extra 30 seconds more thinking about a card than I have to, I'm going to quit playing and I'm sure I won't be the only one.
