Lee Malvo was one of two men who was arrested for the D.C. Sniper string of shootings back in 2002. The second, John Allen Muhammad, was executed in 2009. Lee Malvo was sentenced to two life terms at age 17. However, in 2012, SCOTUS ruled that mandatory life sentences for juveniles were unconstitutional.

This doesn't mean he's getting out. He could still be locked up for life. Given the notoriety of the D.C. Sniper incident, it was surprising to see this on front page news. What do you think?

Edit: A number of you(me included) were probably too young to remember this. So, here's the case itself: http://www.crimemuseum.org/crime-library/the-washington-dc-sniper/
