Ridley, God of Death Incarnate

Based off of Ridley from Metroid, this would be his ultimate ace form for the archetype i'm making.

   Ridley, God of Death Incarnate

ATK/ 4600 DEF/2800, 10 Star, Dark/Dragon

If this card would be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can use one of the following

effects: *Summon "Ridley, Lord of Zebes" from your Hand, Deck, or graveyard. (It would have the same stats as Red-Eyes B. Dragon). * If " In My World Now " is on the field, destroy the card that would've destroyed this card and reduce this card's attack by 300 points. This card gains 200 ATK for every card with "Ridley" in its name in the Graveyard, and 100 ATK for any other "Zebes" monsters in the Graveyard. If this card is destroyed, your opponent loses 2500 Life Points. (This damage is considered Battle Damage.)

P.S. Forget to add this, but this card is living h**l to get out, to balance the card's effects. The summoning steps are:

1. Summon Ridley, Lord of Zebes.

2. Get "In My World Now" on the field.

3. Draw "Mechanization"

4. Get "Ridley, Lord of Zebes" destroyed.

5. Activate "Mechanization", Fusion Summoning "Meta Ridley, Death's Thief"

6. Get him killed also, somehow.

7. Use "Steady Phazon Stream" to summon "Omega Ridley, Hellish Abomination"

8. Get him killed.

9. Use "X-Reformation" to summon "Neo-Ridley, Child of the Corpse"

10. Get him killed.

11. Use the effect of " In My World Now " to summon this.

12. Tadaa.

( This reflects his in-game life cycle, so that's why it takes so long. )

This card gains 200 ATK for each card with "Ridley" in its name in the Graveyard, and 100 ATK for each "Zebes" monster in the Graveyard. If this card is destroyed, your opponent takes 2500 damage. (This damage is treated as battle damage.) If this card would be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can activate 1 of these effects:

- Special Summon "Ridley, Lord of Zebes" from your hand, Deck or Graveyard.

- If "In My World Now" is face-up on the field: Destroy the card that would destroy this card, then this card loses 300 ATK.

At the time of this post, we do not know what these Ridley/Zebes cards are / their functions, and are only left with this card. In fact, this card quite literally has no summoning restrictions and can be summoned in other Decks if one bothered to find space for it outside the intended Deck. So yeah, most we get is this card dealing 2500 damage if it dies (and why are we treating this as battle damage?).

why are we treating this as battle damage?

To get around Barrel Behind the Door, D/D/D/D/D/D Leonidas and other Effect Damage preventers. I thought it was obvious.

I'm interested in where this is going, but until you get the rest of the cards for this set out I have no way of knowing if it's actually any good. Also, without some kind of Summoning Restriction, there's literally no reason I shouldn't just play this in Igknights or whatever Pendulum Deck you happen to prefer and just Tribute Summon this thing.

He's making a joke about the D/D deck's naming conventions, so yeah, he knows it's just D/D/D.

That being said, like I told you in the other post, you're required to give a proper review on user's cards as per Advanced Clause or at least talk about the design/playability of the card in question afterwards.

Erp, thought I did in saying I saw no reason to not just play it in a Pendulum Deck without a Summoning Restriction and that it looked like it could do some good stuff once we got more cards, but whatever, I'll take a closer look now.

Well, first off, it can get to 5k just by me sending the other two copies to the Grave through Foolish Burial plus other shenanigans, and can obviously go even higher once the other Ridley stuff gets added, and it's currently just a double Tribute without anything holding him back, so yeah, that looks retarded.

Second, it says if a card would destroy this card. How are you planning on having that work, exactly? It sounds like you plan on its effect stopping it from being destroyed, not to mention you didn't specify any type of destruction so you can just force your opponent to attack over it(as if you'd ever be in a situation where your opponent can "just attack over" this 5k time-bomb) and then trigger. You can also then either jump the base Ridley(who shouldn't be the base, btw, you forgot Little Birdie and the other stage whose name I forgot) out of anywhere not Removed From Play, which knowing Ridley should be a fairly strong card, or else pop the card that would have killed this guy and then reduce his ATK, but that's fine because it just makes it easier to run into anything stronger than it and trigger the ability again. You at least managed to add that it would have to be getting sent to the Graveyard, meaning I can safely pop him as long as Dimensional Fissure, Macro Cosmos or Dark Law is out, and that's a good thing, but yeah, I'd take a closer look at this and add some Restrictions on getting him out to the field.

Speaking of finally killing him, Third, when he dies he shoots the opponent in the face for 2.5k that isn't Effect Damage and thus can't be blocked by conventional means as things meant to stop Battle Damage are either focused on stopping the other guy from attacking or else Kuriboh. The only thing I can come up with off the top of my head to stop that 2500 bullet to the face that I might be playing anyways is Waboku, and that's mostly because I'm trying to make Charmers work and the deck kind of needs that sort of thing anyways.

Finally, again, Summoning Restriction to prevent this just being abused elsewhere - make it say something like "Can only be Summoned by the effect of 'In My World Now'"

There we go, Sakura, how's that? Btw, I also added your FC if that's ok with you, mine is 4098-4068-6235, name should be Adam.

Right now, it doesn't lack any summon conditions. The TC just posted the ideal path of summoning it (or how it's intended to be called out), but yeah, no restrictions means that any Deck that can field the necessary Tributes and stuff can summon it.

But yeah, it's more effort than we'd like (and we don't even know how hard it is to do each of the steps because we don't know what said cards do)
