My entire life I loved dragons so much that I tried to collect Dragon-type Pokemon or monsters. I even created my own.

Monsters

Dragon Wings WIND

Level 1

[ Dragon / Effect ]

When this monster is Normal or Flip Summoned, Special Summon "Dragon's Breath" from your hand. Once per turn, target a monster on your side of the field: The target can attack directly.

ATK/400  DEF/400

Dragon's Breath FIRE

Level 1

[ Dragon / Effect ]

When this monster is Normal, Flip, or Special Summoned, Special Summon "Dragon's Soul" from your hand. You can target a Dragon type monster on your side of the field or your opponent's. Equip this monster to the target from your hand or your side of the field. If the target is your monster, the target gains 400 ATK and DEF. When it is attacked, your opponent takes 400 damage. Cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. If the target is your opponent's, the target loses 400 ATK and DEF on your opponent's End Phase.

ATK/450  DEF/450

Thrice-Elemental Hydra LIGHT

Level 8

[ Dragon / Effect ]

Cannot be Normal Summon/Set. You can Special Summon this monster by Tributing three Dragon-type monsters with different Attributes and cannot be Special Summoned by anything else. Once per turn, if your opponent destroys a Dragon-type monster, this monster can attack your opponent directly this turn.

ATK/3000  DEF/3000

Dracox- The Speed Gene WIND

Level 4

[ Dragon / Effect ]

Once per turn, if you have a Dragon-type monster in your Graveyard, this monster can attack directly.

ATK/1500  DEF/1500

Drago- The Flight Gene WIND

Level 4

[ Dragon / Effect ]

If "Dracox- The Speed Gene" is on field, Special Summon this monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. If this monster attacks a Defense positioned monster at the beginning of the Battle Step, destroy that monster.

ATK/1500  DEF/1500

Garlan the Supreme Feathered Dragon DARK

Level 12

[ Dragon / Effect ]

Cannot be Normal Summon/Set. Must send your hand, excluding this card, to the Deck and then you can Special Summon this card. Once Summoned, target a Spell/Trap card: It gains the card's effect.

ATK/5000  DEF/5000

Desert Sand Dragon DARK

Level 6

[ Dragon / Effect ]

Once per turn, if you drew a Spell/Trap card, draw a card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. If your opponent drew a monster card, it must be sent to the Graveyard as well as those with a similar type.

ATK/2000  DEF/3000

Dracon- The Ultimate Dragon Gene DARK

Level 8

[ Dragon / Fusion / Effect ]

"Dracox- The Speed Gene" + "Drago- The Flight Gene"

When this monster is Fusion Summoned, your opponent cannot Summon any monster in any way. This monster gains the total ATK and DEF of all your monsters in your hand.

ATK/?  DEF/?

Thunder Dragon of Extreme Chaos LIGHT

Rank 6

[ Dragon / Thunder / Xyz / Effect ]

3 Level 6 monsters

Once per turn, this monster can take Xyz material from other Xyz monsters or from the Graveyard. Once per turn, detach Xyz materials. For each Xyz material is used, this monster gains 500 ATK.

ATK/3000  DEF/3200

Fiery Black-Death Dragon FIRE

Rank 6

[ Fiend / Dragon / Pendulum / Xyz / Effect ]

Pendulum scales- Left and Right: 6

Pendulum effect: Once per turn, you can target an equipped monster your opponent controls; destroy the Equip card. For each Equip card destroyed, your opponent is dealt 500 damage.

3 Level 6 monsters

If "Burning World" is is effect, instead of losing LP, this monster gains 1500 ATK per turn. Once per turn, detach an Xyz material: You and your opponent draws a card. If the card is a monster card, whoever drew the card is dealt damage equal to the ATK of the monster. If a Spell/Trap card, whoever drew the card gains 1000 LP.

ATK/3300  DEF/3300

Sin Number 1: Dragong LIGHT

Rank 1

[ Dragon / Xyz / Effect ]

4 Level 1 Dragon type monsters

When Summoned, if you have any "Sin Number" Xyz monsters in your Graveyard, Special Summon them and their Xyz materials. Once per turn, detach an Xyz material: Target a monster and it loses ATK and DEF equal to the Xyz material.

ATK/5000  DEF/4900

Sin Number 3: Four-Armed Pyro Red Dragon FIRE

Rank 3

[ Dragon / Xyz / Effect ]

4 Level 3 Dragon type monsters

When Summoned, it takes all ATK and DEF from the monsters on the field. Once per turn, detach an Xyz material: You can draw two cards of your choice from either your Graveyard, Deck, or both.

ATK/?  DEF/?

Sin Number 10: Scarlet Mecha-Dragon DARK

Rank 4

[ Machine / Dragon / Xyz / Effect ]

4 Level 4 Machine or Dragon type monsters

When Summoned, any monster that isn't Dragon-typed are Xyz materials for another Xyz Summon, despite Summoning requirements. Once per turn, if your opponents an Xyz monster, detach an Xyz material: Destroy the monster and deal damage equal to half its ATK.

ATK/4500  DEF/4000

These are monsters that I created. I would like to hear your feedback and your ideas for Dragon-type monsters.

Was it cards that you created or thought of? Or are they real cards for YGO?

Make sure you review the contents of the opening post properly, as per the Advanced Clause. Right now, this type of post can be considered spam because you're not giving him any critique.

I got to agree with Sakura.

Sakura, can you show an example of how to criticize the ideas of cards to be made, please?

Kinda old, but yeah, here's an example. (You can thank Darj for this one)

I don't like the S/T negation effect because it is a "you can't play yugioh" effect and thus bad for the game. Granted, it doesn't destroy the negated S/T and it costs a discard but:
1. By negating the activation the S/T will either go to the graveyard anyways if it a Normal, or will remain dead on the field if it is Continuous so, in the end, not destroying it barely makes any difference, except when the opponent has other cards to make use of dead Continuous S/Ts (Pleiades, Scrap Dragon, etc.). Actually, I don't know where Continuous S/Ts are meant to go if their activation is negated, because 1 thing is negating their effects, in which case they stay on the field, and another negating their activation without sending it to somewhere else (destroy it, banish it, etc.).
2. Atlantean variants can turn the discard into an advantage by dumping Atlantean monsters.

I get that it is intended to be a reference to Taunt, but I don't think an S/T negation effect is the best representation of said move. Instead, an effect that disrupts the actions opponent's monster would suit it better. For instance, something like this:

Monsters your opponent controls whose Levels and Ranks are lower than this card's Level cannot activate their effects during your opponent's Main Phase 1.

In my opinion, this feels like a Taunt-esque effect because:
- Just like Taunt stops Pokemon from doing moves, this effect delays the opponent from using their effects. It blocks only during the MP1 for to allow the opponent to still do his/her plays, but after skipping the Battle Phase; also, it would be unfair if it stopped the effects continuously.
- The Level/Rank restriction is meant to represent speed: If Keldeo is faster (has a higher Level) then it will successfully use Taunt on the opponent's monsters, but if they are faster they will be able to make their moves before Keldeo. You can replace the Level/Rank restrictions with ATK if you wish.

I admit it also feels like a "you can't play yugioh" effect, but it is certainly not as abusive as the S/T negation effect.

Or you could go for variants of that effect, such as:
Monsters your opponent controls whose Levels and Ranks are lower than this card's Level cannot activate their effects during the turn they are Normal or Special Summoned.

By the way, If the first effect is a reference to Calm Mind, then raising DEF as well would add a bit more of flavor since, you know, Calm Mind raises both Sp. ATK & DEF.

Basically, just mention something about how the cards are designed in terms of interactions with each other / Konami card pool and you're fine.

Recent example of something I wrote this week in Advanced.

Well, you're not wrong about Photon Sanctuary being a legitimate Link 2 enabler for them (though I don't think it gets used outside summoning GEPD in the old days).

Banishing the opponent's card is somewhat questionable (remember Zoodiac Drancia and what she can do with face-ups?) and burn can end up rather massive, especially during the later part of the game. Concerning the first point, note that the aforementioned only destroys stuff and requires that you target; this does not and banish. Arguably, it's approximately the same level of difficulty in summoning (albeit with less fodder to work with). Then again, in the context of evilfusion.dek (yes, Photon/Galaxy now count with his name), suppose you can Tribute any of the Xyz bosses after they go sour and burn for game. You may want to make it triggerable on your own turn only, because a non-targeting/banishing Drancia is NOT fun.

====

Something around here is usually pretty good, but you can write less provided you cover everything. The above two are for single cards; sets require more explanation because you have more than one card to look at.

Those are great examples, Sakura.

ArcherLancaster, that's the way things are done by being a critic of another person's ideas of cards-to-be-made.

To be fair, you just need to write stuff pertaining to the design in 30 or more words (60+ for multiples) at minimum. You can certainly write more as Darj and I have displayed in those examples, but yeah.

But anyway, that's just a reminder for new members because a lot of them usually aren't aware of the requirements for this section. It's not to force you guys who play casual matches to learn the meta, but at least be able to know about potential interactions and usually more than just saying "cool card 10/10" or something. Just leave it at this.

Next time, just PM me about this instead of necrobumping it four months later just for that.
