Well, we already have Fiend's Sanctuary and that card definitely features in almost every meta combo nowadays, so one with a different level, type and attribute while being just as unsearchable will probably be a great card, yep.

This is like Unexpected Dai except it trades in the ability to go into Xyzs (and pulling a Tuner) for the versatility of pushing forward even with an established board. Looks like something that's probably gonna age well.

I suppose the main thing is that it makes you able to make more Link Monsters without any effort, which is important for Cyberse right now I feel, so the fact that its stats are so good for what it wants to do makes it all the better. Spell Cards also have a place in Cyverse Decks due to Salvergent Driver (whatever its called)

Salvegent Driver is crap. As for the card itself, this card is really solid. To be honest I did not expect a card like this.

The only way this card is realistically dead is if you draw multiples.

 

In every other situations, it's a combo piece that doesn't require you to have cloggy sheet in deck and always live as a level 4 cyverse with solid stats.

 

Might not see widespread use but this is a recipe for an useful card.

To be honest the card itself is already a instant link Spider where you can save the normal monster in your hand to be actually summoned by Link Spiders effect.

It's... a good card in Links and Synchs. I like how that rhymes.

 

Just straight up, it's a free monster. +0 interaction, no requirements to be met for your field, no cost. It's a free monster, and there's some spicy things you can do with that.

 

It might not be an amazing staple, but by no means is this a bad card.

Same would be applied to Photon Sanctuary where we get a LIGHT Link Monster that can use its tokens as materials.

I mean if said links are worth it, then it'd be used as such.

 

This card has the advantage of having better stats and somewhat clearer future right now.

 

Same would apply to Photon Sanctuary. None of these would be like a staple or a lynchpin to a combo or something, but they have the full capability to serve a similar role to Photon Thrasher/Unexpected Dai for the current era with less hassle involved.

 

And that is pretty valuable in its own right.

Also, for the record, I personally wouldn't use Fiend's Sanctuary, and I wouldn't use One Time Passcode either. Reminds me way too much of all those shitty Level 4s that were released in Zexal like Tin Goldfish, Goblindburgh and yes Photon Thrasher. Just being a free ±0 Summon isn't good enough, I expect Tour Guide, Terrortop and Ophrys Scorpio. If I'm going to be activating a Spell card, that can be a Brifu or an IF, both of which are searchable and give you actual value, even with Norden banned. The best use for this card is discarding it for Summoner Monk to summon Rescue Furret.

Restriction is a little bit harsher than that of Scapegoats, but it is still a fully chainable 2 monster Summon so Fiend Sanctuary is for the most part still outclassed by Fires of Doomsday.

Not saying either of these are GOOD per say either, a good Token producing card would have to give 3 chump tokens to waste around at no restrictions in order to become more of a staple. Scapegoats is probably the current best but not exactly on point due to the speed at which  one requires to continue these sorts of plays.

 

I was gonna mention the "you cannot Summon" part but YCM got crappy and didn't let me edit this one post for some reason.... So I just left it like that after 3 attempts to edit it when I originally posted it.... Sucks.

Tin Goldfish, Goblindbergh and Photon Thrasher all saw competitive play though. Tour Guide and Terrortop are meta-defining cards that were hit. The Predaplant engine is similarly good and will likely be hit at some point.

 

This could easily see relevance with the emergence of the right deck, as Thrasher did with ABC's. Granted, Thrasher is searchable, but only really was by a lone copy of RotA.

Passcode already sets itself apart by giving you link disciple without a normal summon, no maindeck investment, ability to be used as synchro material.

 

even if nothing particular noteworthy it can do, its cyberse typing cant be replicated so we'll have 2 see in the future

Yeah, pretty much this too.

 

Goblindbergh and Tin was ran because of their typing and attribute to some degrees on top of their innate summoning ability. Unexpected Dai is used to utilize otherwise dead cards that you have for running BriFu, etc.

 

This card is a Cyverse in a time when Konami pushes the type pretty hard (unlike what happened with Wyrm), and LIGHT is never a terrible attribute. Even if it's not immediately useful, it definitely has quite a potential to be so.
