I Hate Snatch Steal
I had a few ideas for interesting effects for ace monsters, and was also thinking about how Mask Change is an interesting way to summon monsters. However its association to Dark Law is a turn off to me. These ideas resulted in the cards below. Must be Special Summoned with "Arcane Transcendency" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When a card or effect is activated: you can banish 1 "Arcane-Study" monster from your hand or graveyard; apply the effect that was activated. You can only use this effect of "Arcane-Transcend Cyber Magician" once per turn. If this card on the field is destroyed: you can target 1 of your banished "Arcane-Study" monsters; add it to your hand. This effect probably sounds confusing. For those of you know how "Darklord" monsters such as http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Darklord_Amdusc apply the effects of spell/trap cards, this is very similar. Here are few examples of how this works: Player A activates Destiny Draw. Player B chains Cyber Magician's effect. When Cyber Magician's effect resolves, Player B will not need to discard a "Destiny HERO" card but will draw 2 cards. Player A activates Gagagabolt. Player B chains Cyber Magician's effect. Player B doesn't need to control a "Gagaga monster" for this to work [they would if one needed to control a "Gagaga" monster when Gagagabolt resolves]. Player B does not need to choose a target until the effect is already resolving so Dark Illusion and Caringorgon the Anti-Luminscent Knight's effects cannot be used. Player A activates the effect of http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Hazy_Flame_Basiltrice and they have no other cards on their side of the field and in their graveyard and 4 xyz materials on Basiltrice right after [assume the material was banished somehow]. Player B cannot chain the effect of Cyber Magician since there are no valid cards to target. Warrior/Effect This card is both Warrior and Spellcaster-Type (everywhere) this effect cannot be negated. Must be Special Summoned with "Arcane Transcendency" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If this card is special summoned: you can target 1 monster in your graveyard that has a level; special summon it but its effects are negated. If its used for an xyz summon you can treat it as 2 materials and/or you can can treat it 1 level higher then its current level. Once per turn, during either player's turn: you can xyz summon 1 xyz monster and if you do, it cannot attack your opponent directly this turn and once per turn it cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects. You can shuffle this card from your graveyard into the extra deck, then target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control and 1 "Arcane-Study" monster in your Graveyard; attach that monster from the Graveyard to that face-up Xyz Monster, as an Xyz Material. Once the xyz summon happens, the card with this effect only counts as 1 material. e.g. The card with this effect cannot be detached as 2 materials for a cost or effect such as Number 101. Also, if there's an effect that triggers when an xyz monster is summoned using x materials such as http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Seraph_Scale, the card with this effect only counts as 1 material towards that. Written lore is correct Must be Special Summoned with "Arcane Transcendency" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn: when a card or effect is activated on your opponent's side of the field; you can negate that activation and if you do, destroy that card then you can destroy 1 card on the field. If an "Arcane-Transcend" monster you control battles an opponent's monster, that opponent's monster has its effects negated during the Battle Phase only. Warrior/Effect This card is both Warrior and Spellcaster-Type (everywhere) this effect cannot be negated. If this card is normal summoned while your opponent controls more cards then you do: you can draw 1 card. During the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was sent there this turn: You can add 1 "Arcane-Study" monster from your Deck to your hand except "Arcane-Study Ruby Squire". You can only use this effect of "Arcane-Study Ruby Squire" once per turn. Written lore is correct ' When you Normal Summon an "Arcane-Study" monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn: you can shuffle 3 "Arcane-Study" and/or "Arcane-Transcend" cards from your graveyard and/or banished zone into the deck; draw 2 cards. During each of your End Phases: Gain 400 LP for each monster you currently control. If this face-up Attack Position card is targeted for an attack: Change this card to Defense Position. This card can attack your opponent directly, but when it uses this effect, any Battle Damage it inflicts to your opponent is halved. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: you can add 1 "Arcane-Study" monster from your deck to your hand. If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target. You can target 1 card your opponent controls; this card's battle position cannot be changed until the end of your next turn, also change this card you control from face-up Attack Position to face-up Defense Position, and if you do, destroy that target. If this card is sent from the field to the graveyard; you can target 1 face-up card opponent controls; destroy that target. You can reveal 1 other "Arcane-Study" card in your hand or banish 1 from your graveyard, then send this card from your hand or your side of the field to the graveyard to target 1 "Arcane Study" monster you control; send it to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect, Special Summon 1 "Arcane-Transcend" monster from your Extra Deck with the same original Type and Attribute that the sent monster had when it was on the field (This Special Summon is treated as a Special Summon with "Arcane Transcendency"). Naturally, Sage cannot target herself since she won't be on the field when the effect resolves. Reveal 1 "Arcane-Study" monster in your hand or banish 1 from your graveyard to target 1 "Arcane Study" monster you control; send it to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect, Special Summon 1 "Arcane-Transcend" monster from your Extra Deck with the same original Type and Attribute that the sent monster had when it was on the field, but it cannot attack your opponent directly this turn. This card is treated as an "Arcane Study" card while in the graveyard or banished zone. Reveal 1 "Arcane-Study" monster in your hand or banish 1 from your graveyard to target 1 "Arcane Study" monster you control; send it to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect, Special Summon 1 "Arcane-Transcend" monster from your Extra Deck with the same original Type and Attribute that the sent monster had when it was on the field (This Special Summon is treated as a Special Summon with "Arcane Transcendency"). The summoned monster is unaffected by trap effects. This card is treated as an "Arcane Study" card while in the graveyard or banished zone. Discard 1 "Arcane-Study" card; draw 2 cards. If an "Arcane-Transcend" monster is Special Summoned from your Extra Deck, while this card is in the Graveyard (except during the Damage Step): You can Set this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. Target 1 "Arcane-Transcend" or "Arcane-Study" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it ignoring its Summoning conditions. You can only activate 1 "Arcane Revival" per turn.
