Card A

Obstructive Azhdaha
Link 2 - WIND - Reptile/Link/Effect

ATK 1000

SW / SE
2+ monsters
You can only control 1 ”Obstructive Azhdaha”. If you Link Summon this card, you can Special Summon it to your opponent’s Extra Monster Zone. Monsters Special Summoned to Zones this card links must be Summoned in face-up Defense Position. If this card on your opponent’s side of the field is destroyed: You can discard 1 card; Special Summon this card to your side of the field with its effects negated.

Card B

Blustering Boa
Link 2 - WIND - Reptile/Link/Effect

ATK 1800

SW / S

2 monsters

Other WIND monsters you control cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effects. Level 4 or lower WIND monsters you control can attack directly, but their ATK becomes 600 until the end of the Damage Step when attacking directly this way. When this card is destroyed: you can target 1 Level 4 or lower WIND monster in your Graveyard; either add it to your hand or shuffle it into your Deck.

Alright then, go ahead and vote, guys.

Guess I have to tiebreak now -_-

Card A

Since monsters cannot count as 0 Link Materials, you need to use [exactly] 2 materials for this summon [so it's still doable]. While neutering the opponent's monsters on-summon is great and all, reminder that opposing Links don't care and certainly not anything that draws on NSing for the most part. Also the fact that the opponent can still use it for their own Link laddering, and will not trigger its effect to return to your field. Other than that, it is useful for what it does; force the opponent to have a monster that prevents them from summoning other stuff but Links.

Card B

And here we have a generic that effectively works only with WINDs. I appreciate this granting a Majespecter clause to other WINDs you control (oh hey, actual Deck can probably use this for their own needs; that, and other stuff like MPB, Harpies, etc.) and the direct attack stuff. Recycling effect is fine, and least lets you retrigger stuff if it goes. Link Markers are fine.

While I didn't say that it has to explicitly support WIND monsters (but merely be one), it does fine here.

So yeah, I'm voting for B for better design and usability. While it is WIND-specific in effect, it at least gives the current ones something to work with on a respectable body. Otherwise, no one's complaining about a generic Link 2 that actually points down.

A's effect is nice, but otherwise boils down to forcing the opponent to either play Links or another NS-oriented Deck that can summon away from the markers. It can still work though, however...iffy on its uses.

This basically amounts to AEZ winning this, and going on to fight Dova in the semis. As for Sage, you have another chance to do the theme against Belle, so you will have to think of something else.

(If you guys lose in this round, it means having to do the same theme twice. While it may give you redemption, it also might hit you again in the end. So...design well so you only have to do a single theme once)
