Funny how the Battle Over the Star Relics has nothing to do with actual Star Relics or Star Grails or Crawlers or anything.

Remake of Premature Burial is interesting, though I can't say for sure how useful it will be.

Burning Bamboo Sword is pretty cool, albeit super mean to your opponent.

Rival Arrival is interesting, though I dunno how useful it will be, aside from saying funk you to your opponent in their Battle Phase.

Altar of Mind's Eye is really funny. It's amazing how they remember such old cards like Rod of Mind's Eye.

These are all extremely interesting. My favorite is definitely the Rival one followed by the Bamboo Sword.

I guess that field spell's supposed to combo with Replenishment Squad?

The Equip is a really watered down Premature Burial, but stuff can be done with it, especially if the Link era continues the trend of making monsters with varying levels.

The Star Relic card is pretty meh, but hey, the stat loss is permanent, and it lets you pull stuff out of the EMZ. That's something.

Battle Over the Star Relics, so it isn't a Starrellic? I am a bit tired of not knowing which one we're going by. Not that it matters, the card seems out of place for them regardless. I suppose to can make Link Monsters go to the Main Monster Zone.

Excessive Burial, interesting card, since Link Monster Decks have various Levels, this can work well for them, Synchro Decks too, the speed alone is nice, and setting up the Graveyard is good. Some Decks will quite like this for sure.

Burning Bamboo Sword, I only used the Deck for a little bit, so I can't comment much, but skipping an entire Main Phase while you have the ability to refresh its effect continuously is pretty good since you can prepare for a Battle Phase they plan to do later on more easily.

Rival Arrival, huh Tribute Summon Decks will like the ability to attack and then Tribute Summon for sure, other Decks though are focused on getting their stuff out before the Battle Phase, so you probably won't have anything you really want. An extra monster is nice always of course, the card is nice to know exists though, since I am sure a few Decks will really like what this card can do. Of course, you always get to use this in the opponent's Battle Phase, so it's a way to dodge an attack.

Alter of the Mind's Eye, a Field Spell Card with a super short effect? That's a surprise, they almost always give them at least 2 effects these days. I'm not sure where this really fits in though, mentioned was Replenishment Squad, which I guess can always be useful. Direct attacks become less painful too this way. Still, I don't really know about this one.

Uh, I would have never guessed that Akashic Magician was related to Alchemic and Slacker Magician. I find the card interesting: from Normal Summoning something like Fairytail Snow or a Level6 Monarch for the disruption, putting extra battle damage, or just playing it as an slower Double Summon and do stuff on your MP2.

I like Battle over Starrelics too: hopefully will be searchable by Starrelics, can protect a monster of yours Wind-Up Rabbit-style and the ATK/DEF is permanent so it can potentially render an opponent's monster harmless.

Not too excited about the rest. Burning Bamboo looks nasty, and yet I wish it had an extra effect in there, maybe a floating one like Soul-Devouring has.

Maaaaan, if missing the timing wasn't a thing, Battle Over the Star Relics would be fun with stuff like Fortune Lady Light or Zero Force. Card seems pretty meh, unless I'm missing some cool synergy here.

Exessive Burial is kind of interesting. It's the fastest (mostly) generic revival card we have now with Monster Reborn still banned. That said, it's obviously more restricted than stuff like CotH and Return to the Frontlines. I bet it's gonna find a home somewhere, a revival Spell with a pretty easy-to-pay cost isn't bad at all.

Bamboo Sword looks so dumb ahhhhhhhh. It's not like the deck is gonna be meta or anything but this bamboo fuckery could get annoying.

Rival Arrival is weird. I doubt it's that good of a card but there's definitely some fun gimmicks to be made there with Monarchs and stuff. There are probably other cards that get effects on Normal Summon that I'm not remembering that can do silly things. Most players set backrow in Main Phase 2, so you can troll them by using this to summon Denko Sekka at the end of their Battle Phase, i guess. At least the card's name is fun.

Altar is something, I guess.

For the record, Battle over Star Relics wouldn't trigger Fortune Lady Light even if she didn't miss timing since the banish is a cost rather than an effect

And this is before you get into whether it's legal to banish a card with 0 or ? ATK, since the effect reduces opp ATK by original ATK and it could be considered activating a card that does nothing.

Obligatory Barbaros mention.

calling it now, rival arrival will get list attention at some point in the future. not saying it's broken, or that it'll get banned, just limited. the effect is something that can only get far better with powercreep.

with that probably wrong prediction out the way, this card has a lot of fun applications in my batteryman deck. summoning 9V or brohunder, searching charger (w. 9V) or 9V (w. brohunder) swinging with whichever, then using rival arrival to tribute said 9V for said charger or summon 9V off of, (if summoning charger) special summon fuel cell from deck, (if summoning 9V) then swinging with whomever was summoned. that's the smallest combo i can think of, and if i have AAA in grave the options only grow from there. i like this card already. it also works with things like gemini, monarchs, deskbots, true kings, ect. it's basically an extra OTK or meatshield on demand.

burning bamboo sword is the kind of joke card that makes struggling battle all the sweeter as a revenge (just like clashing souls if used by you or your opponent).

altar of the minds eye seems pretty fun as well, it dampens the threat of OTKs until dealt with (though it can backfire if your opponent is minimizing their damage instead of maximizing it), and will no doubt be integral to some ignorantly inspired players for supreme lols.

It'd be hilarious to make a deck based on Burning Bamboo Sword plus Terminal World. Opponents won't have any Main Phases until they draw into S/T Quick Play removal or Ghost Ogre.

I'd probably build it with Summoner Monks and Fairy Tails to get the equips rolling.... Other than that not sure what'll come afterwards...

Rival Arrival is my favorite of the pick here though. Glad to see Normal Summon support not specifically pandering to Monarchs, and this card feels more safe than Double Summon.

Excessive Burial is probably gonna be deemed a bit too gimicky for many decks to use, especially Xyz-based ones. Though it is nonetheless a card with a lot of potential. For one, it doesn't have any monster-destroying clause for when it leaves the field, so I can see it being recycled in some themes..... maybe Darklords or WIND themes.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but it kind of sounds like the monster's effects are only negated while equipped.

Altar of Mind's Eye sounds so dated. Offensively players would nerf their own damage. Defensively is not exactly like the Ghostrick cards that halve damage while providing support for a deck... It sounds interesting to build a theme around though, to play with friends in the backyard or something xD
