Pretty solid deck. I went a bit heavy on the Link side of things, but I barely used my Xyz Monsters. Once this deck gets going, it is VERY hard to stop.

I'm 90% sure Axon is a bad card. No real reason to run it.

What do you aim to send with dendrite?

Does infernity beetle actually funking work? God I hope it does. Maybe run Hastor, or Vermilion Mech Dragon (the starrelic is level 7, right?)

Another potentially worthwhile rank 2 is herald of creation. Link monsters give the otherwise-dead body a use after it has recycled something.

When building a deck, you want more than just "3 of every archetypal card"

Focus on synergies, and make sure each deck choice works together for your goal. Having a worthwhile deck is more important than checking names off of a list.

Axon and Dendrite are both pretty good. I don't know why you'd dislike S/T removal, especially when Puppet lets you flip up your Crawlers whenever you wish. Dendrite, I don't really use too often to mill stuff, but mainly as the Crawler that has the highest ATK. These guys stack buffs quickly, so Dendrite can quickly turn into an 1800-2100 ATK beater.

Infernity Beetle is amazing in this Deck, because you will run out of cards in hand eventually. Just one of them is a free Rank 2, or a Neurogos, or fodder to turn an Excrawler into Varrel Load.

Speaking of Rank 2s, what do you mean by "Herald of Creation"? You mean "Herald of Pure Light"? Doesn't seem like the best idea. Though maybe Crumble Logos...

The Starrelic is OK. It gets out Puppet or Creeping, and adds an extra Link Material or a 2500 ATK body when it's SS'd. But the negation effect is only upon Normal Summon, so I can't use it for that.

Currently, the moniker I've given of Crawlers as "Subterror-lite" is fitting. While having very similar themes, and being a bit faster out of the gate, they don't have anything that packs as much of a punch as the Subterrors can. Most anything capable of squashing their max ATK stat of about 2700-2900 usually has protection against Spine. Varrel Load, on the other hand, is more of the true boss monster, since I can easily turn anything I steal into a Link Material for Decode Talker during the Main Phase 2, or just let it die.

Sure, destroying spells and traps is nice, but axon is worse at it than the generic options.

Being an 1800-2100 beater is laughable. Focus on cards that actually do stuff and progress your board state, so that you can summon multiple link monsters. You aren't going to win the game with a 2100 ATK beater. There is a reason people don't use Gene-Warped Warwolf anymore.

I'm not denying that infernity beetle is a powerful card, but unless you are reliably emptying your hand by your second turn (with the ability to empty it on your first) it is just going to be dead too often. In HERO decks, Bubbleman isn't dead because they run a critical mass of normal spells, which they can set to empty their hand, then activate to regain card advantage. I don't see that same ability in crawlers, let alone your deck.

For the rank 2, I mean herald of whatever the funk the rank 2 is called. Crumble logos isn't going to get you anywhere. You don't want to be ending the turn with these rank 2 monsters on the field, because they really are incredibly underwhelming. Herald actually can do something, then be used as material to push further plays. For that matter, Mannequin Cat is terrible in your deck. You only run level 2 monsters, with 1 level 7. You aren't going to get sheet off that effect.

I mentioned the starrelic because, if you can reliably use infernity beetle, it serves as a synchro material.

Looming over your list more, I am extremely suspect of verdant sanctuary. Yes, it does allow you to search for stuff, but it just has so many downsides. It only adds to hand, it only works when they are destroyed from field and sent to the graveyard, it can't work with your link monsters, you don't really have any way to set it off on your own, making it far too reliant on the opponent, and if the opponent is destroying the maindeck crawlers you are already getting plenty out of the deal that what verdant sanctuary adds is honestly kinda insignificant.

Shadows creeping on the world legacy is a decent card, but not good enough to run 6 of. That's just going to cause redundancy. Since grass is limited, there is no real benefit to running more that 40 cards, so trimming down your decklist (and replacing dead cards with better generic options/engines) should be your first priority in improving your deck.
