Phantom Roxas
http://www.siliconera.com/2017/07/13/nintendo-ends-production-standard-new-nintendo-3ds-japan/ With the New 2DS XL coming out in a couple weeks, it looks like there's not enough room for too many models. The New 3DS XL will still be around, which isn't surprising, since it's the one that sells best, and the only one that Nintendo bothers advertising in the west. The Switch is mostly just the successor to the Wii U, but I wouldn't be surprised if people expect it to replace the 3DS as well. Personally, I hope it doesn't, and I don't think that's likely to happen anyway. While the Switch emphasizes the off-TV play feature of the Wii U, it came at the cost of removing the dual screen aspect of the Wii U. I'd like the dual screens to stay around in some way. So, really just rumormongering here, but anyone thinking we might see a successor the 3DS/N3DS line in a year or so?
