Pendulum questions

Question

Hello,

I have some questions regarding Pendulum Summon:

1- When the Pendulum scale is formed, can I special Summon non- pendulum monsters?

2- When a Pendulum spell Monster Card is destroyed, will it end up on extra deck or graveyard?

3- When a Monster Summoned by pendulum got destroyed, it will end up in extra deck, so how many monster can the extra decks hold?

1. You can summon any monsters whose Levels are between the Scale values, regardless if they are Pendulum Monsters or not.

2. It will go to the Extra Deck. Only time Pendulums go to the Graveyard is if they were detached as Xyz Material or otherwise go the grave from anywhere but the field (including the hand, Deck, as Xyz Material, etc.)

3. There is no limit to how many face-up Pendulum Monsters you can have in the Extra Deck. Only requirement for the Extra Deck is that you cannot run more than 15 monsters that originate in the Extra Deck face-down.

One more question, when two Pendulum Monsters are used to set pendulum scale, if they leave the Field, will they end up in graveyard or extra deck? plus after that will other Monsters, Summoned by Pendulum got destroyed, will they end up in graveyard or extra deck?

1. It does not matter if a Pendulum Monster is actually in a Pendulum Zone as a Spell Card, or in a monster zone as usual. If they are destroyed while on the field, they will go to the Extra Deck unless an effect specifies otherwise.

2. If a Pendulum Summoned monster is destroyed (regardless if the Scales it was summoned under are on the field or not), it will return to the Extra Deck if it is a Pendulum Monster and the Graveyard for everything else.

For an example setup, let's assume that I have Pendulum Summoned Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Majespecter Unicorn - Kirin and Dark Magician Girl, and then the opponent decides to play Dark Hole/Raigeki or some other field wipe. In this instance, OEPD and Kirin would go back to the Extra Deck because they are Pendulum Monsters, whereas DMG would go to the Graveyard as normal because she isn't a Pendulum.

To be fair, a lot of your questions have the answers on the Yugioh Wikia.

In answer 2, the Monsters used for Xyz goes to the Graveyard, but what about the pendulum monster used for single, fusion and ritual, will they end up in the Extra Deck or Graveyard?

If you use a Pendulum monster in your hand or Extra Deck as a Fusion material or Tribute them for a Ritual, they will go to the Graveyard. If they were sent from the field, then they will return to the Extra Deck.

====

If Pendulums leave your hand, Deck or Extra Deck, are detached or have their Summon/activation negated: They go to the Graveyard.

If Pendulums leave the field: They go to the Extra Deck.

This does not take into account if something like Dark Law, etc is on the field and thus would overrule the above, but I won't go into this because you just wanted to know the basics.
