Interesting, Level 1 support in the form of a Link Monster. Level 1 spam Decks could probably get good use out of having a Link Monster, though of course, it doesn't have all that much use other than the ATK slasher, since its Link Arrow won't help, and it's just a LINK-1, so you can't use it for much else after that (other than other Cyberese I suppose, since they restrict quite often). Still, Level 1 Decks don't have a reason not to include this at the same time, their Extra Deck consists of mostly copies of the same Rank 1 from what I remember of them.

Lyriluscs (I still hate that stupid TCG name) could definitely benefit from a Link Monster, though they might be willing to wait for the WIND Attribute Booster Link Monster based on Bladefly.

As for this card...it's cute. And that's really all it has going for it. Yes, it can revive itself so it can use its Tribute effect over and over, but honestly, I'd prefer for it to still be viable with Link Arrows after reviving.

This is one Link Monster that would benefit greatly from being able to shift into Defense Position.

You can still use Level Eater to Summon a Linkuriboh from the Extra Deck, though.

And yes, card is fine. I mean, it makes Level1 floats (e.g. Black Metal Dragon), turns them into a DARK/Cyberse monster, and lets you place a Link Monster straight into the MM Zone; but if you intend to follow up with an Extra Deck monster after Summoning it, you may as well Summon that ED monster straight on the EM Zone, right? Or am I missing an advantage of doing that, besides protecting from an attack with its effect?

Would you make this with Quik Fix when you can make Double Helix or a Rank1? Uh, I guess it can be amusing to Summon a Linkuriboh or 2 for the ATK reductions and thus more protection after setting up your board with Sleeper and whatnot. But then, you may as well Summon Dullahan instead and avoid banishing the Quik Fixes.

Man, Level Eater is finally gonna get banned isn't it? I'm sad. This guy's effect isn't great, although reviving itself is pretty neat, but just being an easy Link combo starter is nice.

Also it's probably used by Yusaku not Aoi, it's Cyberse type.

If level eater gets banned its prob something to do with the arma gofu combo, NOT linkuriboh

  • 3 weeks later...

I want to mention that I saw some post-Helix SPYRAL gameplays, and this card is not so bad in the deck, actually: the player used it to defend itself in a bad opening by Summoning it along a Quick Fix so during the opponent's turn it blocked an attack with its effect, then it blocked yet another attack by Tributing the Quik Fix on the field to bring it back right away.

I also saw it shine in Blue-Eyes by turning a Normal Summoned Blue-Eyes Sage, that couldn't be used to Summon Spirit Dragon, into this, and surely can be used to make a sitting White Stone float, too.

Eater of Millions banish 14 cards from your Extra Deck, then Link Summon this and then Tribute this for a Tribute Summon.

Now Domain of the True Monarchs is live and you get to run an Extra Deck!!!

This sounds amusing, though I'm not sure about the part of retrieving that banished Extra Deck in a way that could let you toolbox into it on demand and still keep your actual Extra Deck's size at 0 for the effects......  Guess that's work for the Custom Cards section.

You don't retrieve your Extra Deck. You simply have all your Extra Deck options ready, which can be really useful for certain hands, or for outing boards and the like, but you can go into Domain lock if you feel like it.

It's super gimmicky, but sounds like quite a lot of fun if you ask me.

(Although if you really want to you could Normal Summon Necroface next turn to get your Extra Deck back after Domaining your opponent for a turn).

Oh I got you now.... You mean playing with the Extra Deck throughout the duel and THEN at some point deciding to go into Domain lock.

That's interesting. The Eater itself is searchable enough as a Level 1 (I think Where Art Thou? would work with Edea already being kind of a thing.... but who knows).

Practice-wise, that's probably a bit contrasting but it'd be fun as an experiment.

Oh I don't think you'd want to play it in Monarchs, just some deck that runs too many Terraformings, Set Rotations and Ancient Fairy Dragons. Tech 3x Millions and 1x Domain in some deck that can make good use of the extra deck, but isn't dependant upon it. Maybe side it in formats where Domain won't always be good, such as our current one (for example) since it sucks against True Draco, but can be very strong against pure Zoo and other decks.

EDIT: Of course there's nothing stopping you from banishing less than 14, going for the Linkuriboh and then some Extra Deck boss below that, then making Domain live once your Extra Deck is empty.
