You know it's a Gregg deck if it's jamming the clutch 1-of logic knot.

Countersquall is spicy as hell, let me know how it plays after the event.

People were playing countersquall as a 4-of in ubx delver before deaths shadow took over the format. Its a good alternative to negate if your presenting a fast clock since it does some life damage as well.

I went 4-6 in total the weekend in main events. Crushed side events. I think I went 6-2 in side events. Medium weekend. Deck felt good, but paired against Bogles and GR Valakut felt abysmal. Best Esper deck I played, but it isn't the best at doing what I want. It is "fun".

no opt? I've been playing with it in some versions of Jeskai and Grixis control and I like it much better than SV. Leaving up mana can make some people really overthink playing into an untapped mana source for a removal spell. I like using both lillies in the board too. Shes not as dominate as she was in jund but she still shits on most combo decks. I also feel like Ceremonious rejection is a little better than dispel in this format. It helps a lot against this decks tron matchups which are usually bad.

I found Opt to be second to Serum Visions in power level and effectiveness. Never liked it, it is cute to try and spite your opponent but the advantage you get isn't all that exciting and people hardly overthink when most control decks are 6+ one mana removal spells anyways. If you want to kill something, you're going to kill it or try your best to do so.

I haven't wanted to try Liliana because trying to hit double black on curve isn't where this deck wants to be, and combo decks are still a tolerable matchup with +6 Hand disruption and +4 counterspells.

Ceremonious is only good against Tron when Eldrazi Tron and Affinity are fine matchups. Not enough percentage points to be relevant. It is bad against Lantern when Whir of Invention is the problem card. I don't care enough about Tron to try and make the matchup any better, when it is already pretty bad.
