This... is neither a dragon nor remotely dragonic.

Sea Serpents are basically water dragons.

Nepthys was always a very grey area, because it's pretty dragonic.

Simorgh is not even close. It doesn't make sense to have a Metaphys Simorgh with what Metaphys are.

Nothing about the effect says "hi I'm simorgh" either. It's just a weak attempt to find something semi-iconic with good stats from a similar era to the others. But Fusilier Dragon would make more sense than this, and I'm iffy on that.

You could also do Diabolos. And this is just maintaining Lv. 7, because it's a clear way to cash in on Sacred Sword of Seven Stars.

Well my basis of choosing Simorgh was Nepthys being a Winged-Beast... And while, yes, Neph looks a little more dragonic in design it is also debatable that Simorgh has kind of that dragonic look if you look at his "Ancestry" counterpart. It has wings, similar epic vibe to it... Sure it has feathers and talons much like a bird, but why not look at it as a dragon? What because it isn't reptilian? Well birds derived from  reptiles from an evolution standpoint. It is a stretch, but even Neph could be seen as a stretch. It has a beak, and wings just like Simorgh. Only thing is it looks more mechanic and has teeth, and it blows fire. Horus even has more bird like features and you didn't say that had to be more "dragonic" to be fit in with the other Metaphys. Sure Horus has the initial Dragon-Typing, but why not perceive it as Winged Beast? If you ask me, I think you are being a little too picky without giving some credit to Konami's design inconsistencies in art and depiction.

As for the effect,  I did pull it from 1 of Simorgh's counterparts (Ancestry) aside from the banish part which I nerfed due to the power of pulling banished cards Edit made it exactly like Ancestry's effect. Simorgh, Bird of Divinity has a pretty awkward effect to mimic in a Metaphys form as it is, I mean how would you go about it to not make an effect that is equally as weak? Additionally, because Simorgh and his counterparts do relate a lot with Spell and Traps (aside from Ancestry) I made him a searcher of Metaphys Spell/Traps. So there was some thought put into this in regards to the Metaphys counterpart concept. You just have to look at all the Simorghs as 1.

Also, I would choose Diabolos, but it doesn't help that people in CC and AC have tried their hand on him already... I did this in more of a way to distinguish from common design trends.

Before you completely dismiss my idea, what do you think of the effect? If you care, of course.

tl;dr: Other Metaphys like Horus and Nephyths loosely fit the "dragonic" category with their bird-like characteristics so why not Simorgh for Metaphys. And I made the Simorgh's effects relate to the Simorgh's counterparts as whole since original Simorgh sucks. Lastly, screw Diabolos... People in CC and AC already did him to death.

Think people took Diabolos because of flavor reasons (and yeah, Dragon). That being said, Ancestry technically breaks the mold of what Simorghs normally are, so I can see where you went with keeping the original stats. (Admittedly, they only have Daedulus and Armed Dragon to trigger said Seven Stars; though I don't see the latter used too much b/c of Vanilla).

Moving over from the design, I need to ask where are you returning the cards from when it's summoned (field, GY, banished area?) Considering you based it on Ancestry, likely the field (unless you intended to expand that).

Banish effect is alright, I suppose, though you're limited at present to Asymmetaphys, Factor and Dimension; either of them getting triggered instantly is still good or just faster searching that you can't get off with Nephthys [or support cards].

I meant the field this time around.
