Make "Majespecters" great again!

Cannot be Special Summoned, except by its own effect. If you have 2 "Majespecter" cards in your Pendulum Zones, while this card is in your hand or face-up Extra Deck: You can Special Summon this card. Quick Effect: You can shuffle 1 face-up Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck into the Deck; destroy 1 monster your opponent controls. You can only use each effect of "Majespecter Wolf - Okami" once per turn.

 

 

So basically an alternative of Unicorn. Not as generic as him (nor abusive) but it has some potentials... you know... cause it destroys. Now to the ruling:

I do believe that since the Special Summoning clause is an effect, and NOT A Special Summonung procedure, Okami goes to the Main Monster Zone if SS from the ED (again, by its own effect). Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, cause I just realized that Synchros Special Summoned by Ultimaya's effect must go to the Extra Zone... and I'm sad now *sobs* So I might be wrong GOD FORBID.

Cannot be Special Summoned, except by its OWN EFFECT", so yeah its an effect not a summon procedure like BLS, Conductor Tyrano, etc, and yeah this will go to the EMZ if it was face up in ED when you activated its effect.

 

Really surprised the protection caracteristic of majespecters was taken off, then again it would be too much to handle for certain decks. Not a fan of majespecters but i must say its really good kirin replacement

Majespecters' protection was tolerable because of their low-ATK/DEF, hence why I thought that removing the protection would be a good idea (and it was indeed)

Yeah, Link format screwed up nearly every Pendulum deck in existence (least after turn 1 or something); the frustration is real...

 

But jokes aside, effect is fine. Least you can blow something up while making your Pendulums less dead in the ED due to Link mechanics. (So...I guess a technical replacement for Ignister). At first, I was going to ask "how are you even summoning this in 'specters without the Dragonvein/pit engine due to its Level", but then saw the SS clause (then again, the field cannot summon this anyway). Suppose it'll help them with the power issues, since yeah, they aren't really that great; despite being target/destruction immune to the opponent's stuff. Lack of that here breaks some flavor, yes, but it's fine here because of its high stats.

 

(As if trying to remove Kozmo ships a couple lists back wasn't bad enough with just targeting immunity; this having the standard clause would be annoying). 

 

'specters would appreciate this as a Kirin replacement; better ATK to run over certain bosses that Kirin couldn't outside its effect (and/or resorting to generic ED techs for the same thing) and makes them less dead in the ED. At least they have a new toy to make them actually function in VRAINS, so there's that.
