Hey y'all!

Recently I was making an E-Hero / Crystal Beast Tag Deck with a friend and was adding fusion cards for that dank Rainbow Neos when I noticed this card:

Flash Fusion / Spell / Quick-Play

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control as Fusion Materials. Destroy it during the End Phase.

Upon seeing this, I was intrigued. It's basically a less restrictive Instant Fusion that replaces life point costs with just having the monsters in your control. I felt it was a little underpowered, but could have it's uses. And in that moment, I had an idea. What if I retained this card to be just a little better and built a unique archetype around it? And that's just what I did.

Well, so far I've only retrained the card but I will finish this archetype soon.

Anyways, here's the retrain!

Flash Fusion / Spell / Quick-Play

Discard 1 card. Fusion summon a monster from your extra deck using cards from your hand or field as fusion materials. Destroy it during the end phase. If this card is in your graveyard, you can banish it as well as the top card of your deck; reveal one fusion monster in your extra deck, add one of the listed fusion materials from your deck to your hand and shuffle your deck. You can only activate each effect of "Flash Fusion" once per turn.

If you couldn't tell, this archetype is going to be based off of fusion monsters that have effects when they are removed from the field. Some will summon a monster, some will deal damage and some will even recycle, but so far it's all been planning. I'll give updates with every few cards, but for now, peace.

Alright, so you went a BIT too far with that card.

Discarding sucks, but then again it's a cost, which means you can just use it when you Fuse from the GY, which makes it kinda pointless unless that itself is the point.

If you're Fusion Summoning using Graveyard materials, you banish them.

The Attack Halving kinda ruins the point of the card, being able to Fusion Summon during the Battle Phase or your opponent's turn, and then making a card they can't get over.

You also say that it's destroyed during the end of the turn but can't attack for 2 turns.

The GY effect is a Foolish Burial, and then a search for whatever has ever been on a Fusion Monster.

I would look into "Crystrons" as an archetype to inspire off of when making the monsters. I think you'd be better off with Quick Effect Monsters that do the fusing if you want something along those lines, but that's only really a recommendation for when you make the archetype.

Thank you for the tips! I gave it a quick errata to balance it more, ie removing the ability to use the grave and the extra special summon.
