[AGM Collab Project] Chaos Synchro

Archetype of Synchro Monsters that take a few pages from the concept of CXyz and Chaos Numbers. All known members are DARK and with added effects if they are Synchro Summoned using the base Synchro Monster. They're more like a series, but connected by several DARK Tuners that can modulate their Levels to be anything from 1-4 for specifically summoning Chaos Synchros.

 

 

This was a collab project from the "Make a Synchro Game 2.0" thread. Idea was started by Fruiota_Hiroshi and the thing expanded into an actual thing after the prompt was made. 

 

There are a ton of cards that need to be looked at, but as this is more of a series (and just Archetypal because of the Tuners), these are intended to function as standalone cards and not function with one another. Hence why this is in Casual as opposed to Advanced where I would post my stuff on a normal basis. As this is an Archetype prompt, there are some monsters in a separate spoiler that do reflect stuff that exists inside the AGM's generic pool or otherwise Synchro-themed Archetypes, wherever available. 

 

Anything in the Main Deck spoiler, cards marked in BLUE in the "non-AGM specifics" (while scanning the accepted generic list; it may have been updated recently and Draco neglected to do so in the OP) and whatever's inside the last spoiler is fair game. However, all of the monsters in here can still function as generic Synchro options; albeit with less proficiency.

 

This will tentatively be ongoing, and anyone who wishes to add more content is welcome to do so at any time.

When using this card to Synchro Summon a "Chaos Synchro" monster, you can treat it as a Level 1 or 3 monster. A monster Summoned using this card as material gains 300 ATK and DEF.

When using this card to Synchro Summon a "Chaos Synchro" monster, you can treat it as a Level 2 or 4 monster. A monster Summoned using this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects.

 

Chaotic Archfiend

Once per turn, during the turn this card was Normal Summoned: You can Normal Summon 1 additional monster during your Main Phase 1. Once while this card is on the field, you can reveal 1 Synchro Monster in your Extra Deck: This card's name becomes that card's name, but it cannot be used to Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster, except a "Chaos Synchro" monster.

 

Chaotic Synchron

Once per turn, you can change this card's Level to 1 or 3 until the End Phase. A "Chaos Synchro" monster Synchro Summoned using this card as Material gains the following effect:

• When this card is Synchro Summoned: Draw 1 card.

 

Chaotic Gadget

When a "Chaos Synchro" monster you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or by card effect): You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Machine-type monsters you control cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.

 

Chaotic King Hydride

This card cannot be used as a Material for a Synchro Summon, except to Synchro Summon a "Chaos Synchro" monster. This card can be treated as a non-Tuner Synchro Monster for a Synchro Summon. If this card is in your graveyard, you can banish it: Return 1 "Chaos Synchro" monster from your graveyard to your Extra Deck.

Chaos Synchro Goyo Guardian

Level 9 - DARK - Warrior/Synchro/Effect

If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can Special Summon that monster. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Goyo Guardian" as material, it gains these effects.

• This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase.

• When a monster is Special Summoned by this card's effect: Your opponent takes 500 damage.

 

Chaos Synchro Red Dragon Archfiend

When this card attacks a Defense Position monster: Destroy all Defense Position monsters on the field, then this card can declare 1 additional attack during that Battle Phase. If this card is Synchro Summoned using a DARK Dragon Synchro Monster as material, it gains the following effects:

• This card gains 500 ATK.

• When a Defense Position monster is destroyed by this card's effect: Your opponent takes damage equal to its Level x 100.

 

Clear Wing Chaos Synchro Dragon

Level 10 | DARK | Dragon | Synchro | Effect

1 Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Synchro Monster

Once per turn, during either player's turn, if another monster activates its effect: You can negate that effect, and if you do, destroy it, then this card gains ATK equal to that monster's ATK until the end of the turn. If this card is Synchro Summoned using a "Clear Wing" Synchro Monster or "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon" as material, it gains these effects.

• When this card attacks an opponent's monster, it gains ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling until the end of the Damage Step.

• Banish any monster destroyed by this card by battle or card effect.

 

Chaos Synchro Ancient Sacred Wyvern

Level 8 | DARK | Fairy | Synchro | Effect

1 LIGHT Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

While your LP are higher than your opponent's, this card gains ATK equal to the difference between your LP and your opponent's LP. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Ancient Sacred Wyvern" or Special Summoned by its own effect, you can activate this effect:

• While your LP are lower than your opponent's, when this card leaves the field due to your opponent's card (by battle or by card effect): You can Special Summon this card.

 

Chaos Synchron

This card can be treated as a Level 1, 3 or 4 monster when used as material for a "Chaos Synchro" monster. Once per Chain, during your opponent's Main Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon using this card you control.

This card gains 300 ATK for each banished card. Once per turn, when a Psychic-Type monster you control, except "Chaos Synchro PSY-Framelord Alpha" is banished: You can Special Summon that target, but its effects are negated. If a monster your opponent controls activates its effect (Quick Effect): You can banish this face-up card and 1 card from your opponent's hand or field, face-up, until your next Standby Phase, and if you do, negate that effect. You can only use this effect of "Chaos Synchro PSY-Framelord Alpha" once per turn.

 

Chaos Synchro Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar

Level 8 | DARK | Reptile | Synchro | Effect

1 Tuner + "Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar"

This card gains 100 ATK for every A Counter on the field. Once per turn, you can return all Spell/Trap Cards on the field to their owners' hands, then place 2 A Counters on each monster your opponent controls. Up to twice per turn, you can remove 2 A Counters from anywhere on the field, then target 1 card: Banish it.

 

Chaos Synchro Stardust Blazar Dragon

1 Tuner + 1 "Stardust" Synchro Monster

Must be Synchro Summoned. Cannot be targeted by card effects. Up to twice per turn, during either player's turn, if a card(s) you control would be destroyed: You can activate this effect; that card(s) is not destroyed. If this card was Synchro Summoned using a "Stardust" Dragon monster as material, it gains these effects.

• This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each.

• When this card leaves the field: Special Summon 1 Level 10 or lower Dragon Synchro monster from your Extra Deck or GY, ignoring Summoning conditions.

 

Chaos Synchro Junk Savage Warrior

Level 7 | DARK | Warrior | Synchro | Effect

Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Junk Warrior", it gains these effects:

• This card gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of all Level 2 and below monsters on the field.

• If this card attacks a Defense Position monster: Inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.

 

Chaos Synchro Star Eater

Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card's Synchro Summon cannot be negated. If this card is Synchro Summoned by using "Star Eater" as Synchro Material; this card unaffected by other cards' effects, also your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of Battle Phase.

 

Chaos Synchro Raging Flamvell Deity

When this card is Synchro Summoned: Banish all cards in your opponent's hand, then this card gains 200 ATK for each card. This card is also treated as FIRE-Attribute while on the field or in the GY. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Ancient Flamvell Deity" as material, banish those cards, face-down, instead, then your opponent takes 600 damage.

 

Chaos Synchro Spirit Dragon

(This card is always treated as a "Blue-Eyes" card.)

Neither player can Special Summon more than 1 monster at a time. Your opponent cannot activate effects in their graveyard. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon" as a Material, it gains the following effect:

• During either player's turn, you can Tribute this card: Special Summon 1 Level 10 or lower "Chaos Synchro" Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.).

 

Chaos Synchro Hi-Speedroid Blasting Cannon

Level 8 | DARK | Machine | Synchro | Effect

1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters

This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase. When this card deals battle damage: It gains 100 ATK. If this card was Synchro Summoned using a "Hi-Speedroid" monster as material. it gains these effects.

• Cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects.

• Once per turn: You can banish 1 monster from your Graveyard; inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

 

Chaos Synchro Odd-Eyes Meteoric Dragon

When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can target up to 2 card in your Pendulum Zone; Special Summon them. If this card Synchro Summoned using "Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon" as material, it gains these effects:

• Monsters your opponent controls cannot activate their effects until your End Phase.

• This card can attack twice during each Battle Phase.

 

Chaos Synchro Vylon Zeta

While this card is equipped with an Equip Card, it cannot be destroyed by your opponent's Spell/Trap effects. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Vylon Alpha", it gains the following effects:

• When this card is Synchro Summoned, target 1 "Vylon" Synchro Monster in your graveyard: Equip it to this card. This card gains ATK equal to that monster's ATK. A card equipped by this effect cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.

• Once per turn, you can target 1 Equip Spell Card in your graveyard: Add it to your hand.

 

Chaos Synchro Armory Arm

Level 7 | DARK | Machine | Synchro | Effect

2400/1800

1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters

Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 monster on the field; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. The equipped monster gains 1500 ATK, also when it destroys an opponent's monster by battle: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Armory Arm" as material, the equipped monster can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each.

 

Chaos Synchro Power Tool

1 Tuner + "Power Tool Dragon" or "Power Tool Mecha Dragon"

Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, when an Equip Card(s) is equipped to this card: You can draw 1 card. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects while equipped with an Equip Spell Card. Your opponent cannot activate Equip Spells, unless they equip them on to this card.

 

Chaos Synchro Celestial Wolf Lord

Must be Synchro Summoned. When this card is sent to the GY: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes 0 and its effects are negated. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Celestial Wolf Lord, Blue Sirius", it gains the following effects.

• Cannot be destroyed by card effects.

• Once per turn (Quick Effect): Target 1 monster whose current ATK is different from its original ATK; banish it.

Once per turn, if your opponent activates a card effect: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Chevalier de Fleur" as material, it gains these effects.

• You can activate this card's effects during either player's turn, also banish any cards that are negated by this card's effects.

• If this card leaves the field: You can Special Summon 1 WIND Synchro Monster from your GY.

 

Chaos Synchro Black Rose

When this card is Synchro Summoned: Destroy all other cards on the field. If this card has Synchro Summoned using "Black Rose Dragon" or "Black Rose Moonlight Dragon" as material, it gains this effect.

• Banish those cards instead, then your opponent takes 400 damage for each card banished this way.

While you control this face-up card, your opponent takes any effect damage you would have taken. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Black-Winged Dragon" or "Blackfeather Darkwing Dragon", it gains the following effects:

• Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle.

• When you take battle damage: This card gains 500 ATK until the End Phase.

• When you take battle damage, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: It loses ATK equal to the damage you took, until the End Phase.

During either player's turn: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it, then add 1 card of the same type from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of this card's name once per turn. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Ancient Fairy Dragon" or "Ancient Pixie Dragon" as material, it gains these effects.

• While there is a Field Spell Card on the field, this card is unaffected by your opponent's card effects.

• Each time a card(s) is destroyed, your opponent takes 400 damage, also banish that card(s).

• Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can Tribute 1 monster you control: Your opponent takes damage equal to its original Level x 400.

When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can make your LP become 4000, then inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. You take no battle damage from the attacks involving this card. If this card Synchro Summoned using "Life Stream Dragon" or "Power Tool" monster, it gains these effects:

• While this card equipped with an Equip Spell card, this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects.

• Each time an Equip Spell card equipped to this card, inflict 500 damage to your opponent.

If this card is Synchro Summoned: Place 2 Spell Counters on it (max. 2). Gains 900 ATK for each Spell Counter on it. If a Spell effect is activated: Place 1 Spell Counter on this card. Once per turn: You can remove 1 Spell Counter from this card, target 1 face-up card on the field; negate its effects and destroy it. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Arcanite Magician", it gains these effects.

• This card's latest effect becomes a Quick Effect.

 

Chaos Synchro D/D/D Gust King Alexander

If 3 or more "D/D/D" monsters are on the field, this card gains 3000 ATK, also it cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "D/D/D Gust King Alexander", it gains these effects.

• Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "D/D" monster from your hand, GY or face-up in your Extra Deck, then your opponent takes damage equal to half its ATK.

Must be Synchro Summoned using the above Materials, and cannot be Summoned by other ways. If this monster battles, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step. At the start of your Battle Phase, you can excavate up to 4 cards from the top of your Deck: The maximum number of attacks this card can declare this turn becomes equal to the number of Tuner monsters excavated this way. During either player's turn, you can banish this face-up card until the End Phase: Declare 1 Phase of the current turn; that Phase is skipped (or, if it is already the declared Phase, end that Phase immediately). If this monster was Synchro Summoned using "Shooting Star Dragon" as Material, it gains the following effect:
●Once per turn, during either player's turn, if your opponent activates a card or effect, you can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. 
 
Chaos Synchro King Archfiend

Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this monster battles your opponent's monster, the ATK and DEF of all face-up monsters on the field is switched. If this monster battles, it gains 200 ATK and DEF. If this monster was Synchro Summoned using "Chaos King Archfiend" as Material, it gains the following effect:
●If this monster destroys your opponent's Special Summoned monster by battle, you can banish 1 Level 7 or lower DARK Synchro monster from your Graveyard: At the start of your next Battle Phase, Special Summon the monster banished by this effect.

If your opponent's monster declares an attack: You can negate that attack, then destroy that attacking monster. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Sigma, Assault Captain of the Electric Field" as material, it gains this effect.

• You can banish any number of "Electric Field" monsters you control or in your GY, then target an equal number of cards on the field; banish them face-down, then your opponent takes 300 damage for each.

 

Chaos Synchro RI-ON Impaling Dragon Hayate Slash

Level 11 | DARK | Dragon | Synchro | Effect

1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner Dragon-Type non-Tuner monsters

Monsters your opponent controls must attack if able, also they must target a "RI-ON" monster you control for attacks. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "RI-ON Brutal Dragon Hayate Slash" as material, it gains these effects.

• Your opponent cannot activate card or effects, except for the effects of Dragon monsters. 

• When a monster(s) your opponent controls is destroyed: Your opponent takes 800 damage.

 

Chaos Synchro Senkōkūra the Dark Majestic Dragon

Level 11 | DARK | Dragon | Synchro | Effect

1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters

This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can draw 1 card. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Senkōkūra the High Majestic Dragon" as material, it gains these effects. 

• Unaffected by other card effects.

• If this card leaves the field: You can Special Summon 1 "Senkōkūra the High Majestic Dragon" from your GY or currently banished.

 

Chaos Synchro Sylph Majester

Level 6 | DARK | Fairy | Synchro | Effect

2300/1600

1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters

If this card is destroyed by battle: You can gain 1000 LP OR draw 1 card. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Sylph Magister" as material, it gains this effect.

• Once per turn: You can banish 1 card from your Graveyard, then target 1 monster on the field; have that monster gain/lose ATK or DEF equal to its current ATK or DEF, then your opponent takes damage equal to that amount.

 

Chaos Synchro Fêngxînglán the Forbidden Gale Dragon

When this card is Special Summoned: Target 1 monster your opponent controls; its ATK and DEF become 0, also its effects are negated. Cannot be targeted by an opponent's card effects. If this card was Special Summoned using "Fêngxînglán the Gale Dragon", it gains these effects. 

• Unaffected by your opponent's card effects.

• Each time an opponent's monster is destroyed, your opponent takes 800 damage.

 

Chaos Synchro Moyufutsusa - Repossescraped Robot (terrible portmanteau, I know)

Cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card was Synchro Summoned using "Moyufutsusa - Battered Robot" as material, it gains these effects.

• When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: Your opponent takes 200 damage for each card in both player's hands and GY. 

• Once per turn, during either player's turn, if your opponent would target another face-up "Moyufutsusa" monster for an attack or card effect: You can negate that effect, and if you do, destroy it, then your opponent takes 800 damage.

 

Chaos Synchro Revelation True Fang Dragon

When this card is Synchro Summoned: Target 1 monster in your GY; Special Summon, then the ATK and DEF of all monsters your opponent currently controls becomes 0. If this was Synchro Summoned using "Revelation Fang Dragon" as material, it gains these effects.

• Each time a card is sent to the GY, your opponent takes 500 damage for each card sent.

• If this card leaves the field: You can Special Summon it.

● When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: Banish the opposing monster instead of sending it to the Graveyard, then this card gains 300 ATK for each banished monster. 
● If this card leaves the field: You can target 1 other monster you control; it gains ATK equal to the ATK this card had on the field.

You can also Synchro Summon this card by using 1 face-up "Doomkaiser Dragon" you control as the only Material. If Summoned this way, all Zombie-type monsters you control gain 300 ATK(this increase stays even when this card leaves the field). Once per turn, you can target 1 Zombie-type monster in euther player's GY, Special Summon that target onto your side of the field, but destroy it when this card leaves the field.

I like the support and additional members that were made outside of the Make a Synchro Monster game. Seems like they would work pretty well IRL. On a side note, wouldn't Chaos Synchro be a sub-archetype of Chaos?

Well, the furigana is CS (with Kaosu Shinkuro written in katakana) so likely yes. The Tuners aren't. 

 

But yeah, the Tuners are just there to fill the prompt having Main Deck / Tuners to make summoning easier. Most of them require Level 3/4 Tuners to summon, so they do help making that easier. AGM ones were based on stuff that are already good for us, so it works fine. (To be fair, only ones whose base forms aren't mine are Sylph Magister and the Moyufutsusa one.)

 

Only issue is being able to make a lot of them efficiently in their respective Decks, especially with the new mechanics, but at least you don't need a specific Spell to make them. Most you need is just a Tuner of the proper Level and you'll be fine; only Wyvern/Spirit Dragon have to use other Tuners besides the internal ones.

It needed some non-Tuners and a Phantom King Hydride ripoff. Also, I guess Chaotic is a series now lol

That's fine; they kind of need backrow to handle certain things (though as a whole, they're still a series). Also Junk Warrior got approved for AGM, so can make a note. 

 

After looking at the Chaos archetype, which is just because of that new Ritual they got for BE Max, we can just make the Tuners "Chaos" monsters instead of "Chaotic". BLS and the like have better things to do anyway.

Updated with Fruiota's stuff, along with new things from Draconus, Kyumi and me. 

 

Draco added the new Chaos SSD, Kyumi has that Doomkaiser one (although it semi-breaks the usual specs) and I made Revelation Fang Dragon's upgrade.

I think "Csynch" or "Csynched" would be better than "Chaos Synchro". The parallel to Cxyz becomes more apparent, it's shorter, and it just sounds cooler. You could also make all of the Main Deck monsters "Csyncher" so the archetype doesn't have to have any awkward wordings. The prompt doesn't imply a particular archetype name so this should be fine.

 

As for the contribution, I'm probably going to do what I did the first time I saw a group project archetype, as in that I might take a 3 hour late night session and make it tighter and focused by editing it (although Idk if I can do that in an official capacity, since that might offend some of the creators)

 

 

Csynched-Cosmic Diabolic Dragon

DARK - Level 12 - Dragon/Synchro/Effect - 5000 ATK/5000 DEF

1 "Csynch" Tuner + 2+ "Csynch" Synchro Monsters (intentionally Tuner or non-Tuner)

You can only control 1 "Csynched-Cosmic Diabolic Dragon".

This card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects.

Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can decrease this card's ATK and DEF by 1000 to gain 2000 LP.

Once per turn, if this card is targeted by a card effect (Quick Effect): You can banish this card until the next turn, and if you do, destroy all monsters on the field whose current ATK is different from their original ATK.

If this card leaves the field, except by its own card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Csynch" Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck with a lower level than this card, ignoring its Summoning conditions.

 

Beelz + Cosmic Blazar Dragon/Shooting Quasar Dragon. Wanted to make the biggest monster for the archetype, so I figured I'd sorta Chaos Synchro Fusion two of the more iconically powerful Synchro monsters in the game.

Actually, it is Chaos Synchro, but I clipped the name from it because should've been obvious. Then again, I could just name the Main Deck support as just "Chaos" because the existing Deck can't really do anything with these anyway (that, and Gateway of Chaos is the only thing making them an Archetype).

 

But yeah, will add it later.

What's Gateway of Chaos?

 

Supposed to be Gateway to Chaos (was a misspeak), but that's just BLS support. But to be fair, Chaos Form is the one that makes "Chaos" an actual Archetype, but it doesn't affect how this Deck works.

 

(If you guys ever make Chaos Rituals a thing, then you got something.)

Syserr Ichi made one, though current trend is SUPREME Rituals; not Chaos. 

 

Though if you guys can divert it from Supreme to Chaos, then we can start having something.

"Chaos" is as follows, at least in the real card pool:

 

Any card that actually has "Chaos" in its name, including Phantom of Chaos, Chaos Piper, etc.

The BLS "archetype", as its Japanese name is "Chaos Soldier".

CXyz/Number C ("Chaos Xyz", "Chaos Number").

I still haven't color-coded which of the new ones in the generic area are acceptable in AGM; think I only marked the ones that aren't for obvious reasons. But yes, I already know that. 

 

(It needs 「カオス」in its name to be classed as a "Chaos" card; Form just made it an Archetype, otherwise you still have a general series thing, by Konami standards anyway. Ours is different.)
