It's a shame that they ran out of money during development and had to release it in the state it came out in, but despite all the negativity they haven't given up. This is the third major update for the game following the Foundation and Pathfinder updates, and this one is the biggest yet, adding a ton of things including more story content and baseline multiplayer (you should really check out the link and full patch notes, there's a lot). There's still plenty more work to come (still free updates, btw), and to anyone who still has their copy but hasn't played it in awhile, I urge you to give the game another shot (also the game's 60% off on Steam so if you don't own a copy maybe give it a look).
