[Written] Sock-It Archtype (Rock-em Sock-em USBots, basically)

I would sketch up some card art, but I can't actually draw at the moment so I had to scratch that idea, and the archetype is out-there enough that I can't really find art that fits.
 
This is a post-Links style deck, both in contents and intention, as it's main mechanic comes from the new location of the Pendulum Zones. Due to its abundance in the card text, I abbreviated "Spell & Trap zone" to "S&T zone", alike how "Graveyard" was shortened to "GY".
 
It was originally intended for Advanced Cards, but I'm not too sure on it's balance and such so I'm putting it here to be safe (I certainly wouldn't mind tips on balancing, if there IS issues). The aim of the idea sort of drifted as I worked on it as well, going from pendulum focused to union focused to search focused etc etc, so I'm a little unsure on it's archtype consistency, but hopefully it's not terrible.
 
The naming scheme for the monsters comes from a portmanteau of a computer (specifically port-related, most of the time) terms and colours. Since I wasn't sure what to associate with RESE Robots, I chose their red and blue colouring. As such, the first pair of monsters are coloured as such, followed by Violet and Indigo (combinations of red and blue), and then Ruby and Sapphire (red and blue gems, and totally not partly inspired by Pokémon). The only monsters to break this trend are Cablemerald and the Extra Deck monsters.
 
I'm also working off the assumption that a Union Xyz monster would lose it's material when placed in the Spell & Trap zone.

 

Oh, and yes, the name is a terrible pun on "socket".

A monster equipped with this card gains 200 ATK for each "Sock-It" card you control.

Once per turn, except when this card is targeted by battle or card effect: You can place this card from your hand or monster zone in your S&T zone (Quick Effect). While in the S&T zone, apply this card's Pendulum Effect instead. If a "Sock-It" Union monster equips itself to this card; add 1 "Sock-It" Spell or Trap from your deck to your hand.

If a monster equipped with this card battles; destroy the opponent's monster at the end of the Damage Step.

Once per turn, except when this card is targeted by battle or card effect: You can place this card from your hand or monster zone in your S&T zone (Quick Effect). While in the S&T zone, apply this card's Pendulum Effect instead. If a "Sock-It" Union monster equips itself to this card; add 1 "Sock-It" monster from your deck to your hand.

You can destroy this equipped card; equip 1 "Sock-It" monster from your GY or face-up in your Extra Deck to the monster this card was equipped to.

Once per turn, except when this card is targeted by battle or card effect: You can place this card from your hand or monster zone in your S&T zone (Quick Effect). While in the S&T zone, apply this card's Pendulum Effect instead. If this card destroys a monster by battle, if this card is equipped with a "Sock-It" card: target 1 monster on the field and destroy it.

You can destroy this equipped card; place 1 "Sock-It" monster from your deck in to the zone this card was in.

Once per turn, except when this card is targeted by battle or card effect: You can place this card from your hand or monster zone in your S&T zone (Quick Effect). While in the S&T zone, apply this card's Pendulum Effect instead. When this card attacks, if this card is equipped with a "Sock-It" card: target 1 Spell or Trap on the field and negate it's effect(s), then destroy it.

Once per turn, when the monster this card is equipped to battles; you can return that monster, the opponent's monster and this card to the hand.

Once per turn, unless it was placed in the S&T zone this turn: You can special summon this card from your S&T zone to your Main Monster Zone. If your opponent targets the monster this card is equipped to for battle; banish all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls and this card.

 

-Monster Effect-

Once per turn, except when this card is targeted by battle or card effect: You can place this card from your hand or monster zone in your S&T zone (Quick Effect). While in the S&T zone, apply this card's Pendulum Effect instead. Cannot be Normal Summoned or set. If the equipped monster would leave the field, destroy this card instead. A monster equipped with this card can attack directly.

Once per turn, except when this card is targeted by battle or card effect: You can place this card from your hand or monster zone in your S&T zone (Quick Effect). While in the S&T zone, apply this card's Pendulum Effect instead. Cannot be Normal Summoned or set. If this card is Special Summoned, except by it's own effect; you can equip 1 "Sock-It" monster from your Deck to this card. If this card is equipped with a "Sock-It" card and leaves the field; add 1 "Sock-It" card from your deck to your hand, also return that equipped card to the hand. If there is a "Sock-It" monster in the zone above this card, equip this card to it. This card can only be used for a Pendulum Summon while in a Pendulum Zone. Once per turn: you can move this card to a different S&T zone. This card's Scale can also be treated as 9/2. A monster equipped with this card cannot leave the field, except by it's own effect. Once per duel: if this card would leave the field; Special Summon it in Defense Position instead, then negate its effects until the End Phase.

 

-Monster Effect-

2 or 3 Level 7 "Sock-It" Monsters
Any monsters that were equipped to this card's Xyz Material are attached to this card as Xyz Material. This card gains the following effects depending on the number of Xyz Material attached to it;
*1+ This card cannot be destroyed by battle.
*3+ Once per turn; destroy 1 card on your opponent's field.
*5+ If this card leaves the field by an opponent's card effect, Banish all cards on your opponent's field.
During the End Phase, Banish one of this card's Xyz material. If this card leaves the field, you can place it in your S&T zone instead (but it's effects still activate).

You can also Link Summon this card using "Sock-It" Union monsters in your S&T zone as material. You can target 1 "Sock-It" monster you control (Quick Effect); equip this card to that target, in the S&T zone beneath it, OR Special Summon this card in one of the zones it points to. If a card is equipped to a monster this card points to; add a "Sock-It" card from your deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Sock-It LANeon" once per turn.

-Effect-

When this card is activated; add 1 "Sock-It" monster from your deck to your hand. "Sock-It" cards in your S&T zone other than this card cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. If you Pendulum Summon a "Sock-It" monster(s); you can target 1 "Sock-It" Union monster that is in your GY or face-up in your Extra Deck. place it in the S&T zone below one of those Summoned monster(s).

-Effect-

During your opponent's Main Phase 1; Pendulum Summon, using this card as one of the Pendulum monsters (this card's scale is treated as the same as the other Pendulum scale used). If you do; you can equip "Sock-It" Union monsters from your hand, GY or face-up in your Extra Deck to monsters on your field, up to the number of monsters that were Pendulum Summoned. You can only activate "Sock-It Emergency Repair" once per turn.

So I like the concept, but I think that there is is a problem with the sheer gap in power between the effects. I mean, Violet creates an infinite loop with Gearfried(You can equip it with Tailor of the Fickle), Sapphire is a better mirror force, and Darsk Black is just incredible in every way. But some of the others, particularly Blue, seem somewhat lackluster in comparison. Also, Extension really needed another effect. But overall, good cards!

While I agree with your other points, looking back on it, I do think that Sapphire has one major drawback that stops it being a better Mirror Force. That being, it's not hidden. You can't set a Union Monster after all, if you attack a monster that Sapphire's equipped to then you know it's effect can trigger (unless my knowledge on timing is off and you can equip it then immediately use it's effect, but as far as I'm aware if you Quick Effect equip it when the opponent attacks then you can't use it's effect). This is opposed to Mirror Force where any set spell/trap could be it. It also only protects that one monster. These are both reasons why I at least believe it wasn't as bad as it first seems.
