Darj
Metaphys RyuAttribute: LIGHTType: Wyrm/Tuner/EffectLevel: 4ATK: 1000DEF: 1000If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can banish 1 "Metaphys" monster from your Deck, and if you do, this card gains ATK equal to that monster's Level x 100. If this card declares an attack: You can Special Summon 1 of your banished Level 5 or higher "Metaphys" monsters, but banish it during the End Phase of the next turn. You can only use each effect of "Metaphys Ryu" once per turn. An additional Normal Summonable Metaphys Tuner, with more reliable effects than Metaphys Ragnarok. It offers pinpoint banishment and a Battle Phase summon effect easier to activate, in exchange of less ATK and the capability of summoning the big Metaphys straight from the Deck, instead grabbing a banished one, which could very well be the one it banishes with its on-Summon effect, but then it's giving up the when-banished effect.I was tempted to make it after Apocagryph instead, but I suspect Konami may make a Metaphys version of it eventually, so I went for another Normal Dragon whose name could be Metaphysized without a convoluted result. Eshai
Spirit Ryu? Might want to make it a bit more obvious but whatever. So rather than banishing randomly, it banishes a card similarly to Gold Sarcophagus. Seems good. Idk if making Ragnarok easier to trigger is a good thing. There's a lot of powerful effects, even some cards like Daedalus that can destroy the attack target, making it so that you have to redeclare attack. Good that you had the name OPT clause. Otherwise, that would've gotten out of hand FAST. Seems simple enough. This is kinda a better (or at least more consistent) effect than Ragnarok. Considering the Deck is lacking in the consistency department, this would probably see play in every Metaphys deck. At the moment I don't see anything wrong with it. Darj
It should be evident enough; I mean, you figured out it was Spirit Ryu, right? xDMy only concern with flavor is that Ryu is part of the universe where Grepher is in, and IDK if that universe is separate to the one where Dark Armed, Daedalus, Nephthys, etc. coexist. Anyway, glad to know the card is solid enough.
