Rules:

  • All Leaderboard rules apply (I feel like this is pretty obvious by now)

  • The one with the most votes by the deadline wins.

  • All voters must elaborate on their votes or else the vote will be rejected. You can also use an established grading system such as the one AGM has for multiple card analysis.

  • Both contestants can refuse votes but must explain why.

  • PM the cards to me. I’ll post all the cards by the deadline or if all cards have already been submitted. Anonymity = Fair reviews for everyone. Also, if you make card art make sure to keep out signatures of any kind to ensure anonymity.

  • In cases of down time, emergency, if the project is bigger than expected, or just something stupid like you forgot, deadlines can be extended. Extension will depend on circumstance.

Deadline:

  • The deadline for posting cards is approximately 7 days (or 168 hours) after the challenge has been accepted

  • The deadline for voting for cards is approximately 4 days (or 96 hours) after all cards have been posted.

Rewards:

  • Winner gets a rep

  • All voters get a rep for voting

  • (Optional) We can also put 100-1000 pts in a pot to raise the stakes, at the request of the challenger.

Requirements:

  • Make an archetype out of an already existing card name. Konami has done this recently with Mythical Beasts, and they did it with Blue-Eyes and Metaphys.

  • The card name chosen cannot have more than 1 support card (aka card that mentions the archetype by name).

  • Equal or less than 10 cards. (don’t torture the reviewers)

Heavy Mech Machine King

EARTH - Level 7 - Machine/Effect - 2500 ATK/1200 DEF

You can Special Summon this card by destroying 2 “Heavy Mech Support” cards you control. If this card is Special Summoned: You can equip 1 appropriate Union monster from your hand or Deck to this card. This card gains 400 ATK and DEF for every other Machine monster on the field. Your opponent cannot target “Heavy Mech Support” monsters you control for an attack, or with Spell/Trap effects.

 

Heavy Mech Support Rampart

EARTH - Level 3 - Machine/Union/Effect - 500 ATK/500 DEF

If a Machine monster is Special Summoned from the Spell/Trap Zone: You can Special Summon 1 “Heavy Mech” monster from your GY. You can only activate this effect of “Heavy Mech Support Rampart” once per turn. Once per turn, you can either (Quick Effect): Target 1 Machine monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. A monster equipped with this card gains 500 ATK and DEF, and once per turn, if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or by a card effect, it is not destroyed, also if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.

 

Heavy Mech Support Beacon

FIRE- Level 3 - Machine/Union/Effect - 500 ATK/500 DEF

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Union “Heavy Mech” card from your hand or Spell/Trap Zone. Once per turn, you can either (Quick Effect): Target 1 Machine monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. A monster equipped with this card gains 500 ATK, also if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict double piercing battle damage to your opponent, also if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.

 

Heavy Mech Support Core

WATER - Level 3 - Machine/Union/Effect - 500 ATK/500 DEF

Once per turn, you can either (Quick Effect): Target 1 Machine monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. A monster equipped with this card gains 200 ATK, also negate your opponent’s Monster and Spell effects that target the equipped monster, also if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead. You can destroy this card and 1 other “Heavy Mech Support” card you control or in your hand to Special Summon 1 “Heavy Mech” monster from your hand. Deck, or GY. You can only use this effect of “Heavy Mech Support Core” once per turn.

 

Heavy Mech Support Aileron

WIND- Level 3 - Machine/Union/Effect - 500 ATK/500 DEF

Once per turn, you can either (Quick Effect): Target 1 Machine monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. A monster equipped with this card gains 600 ATK and once per turn, if it battles a monster: You can switch that monster to Defense Position, also if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead. If this card is destroyed and sent to the GY: You can equip 1 appropriate Union monster with a different name from your Deck to a “Heavy Mech” monster you control.

 

Heavy Mech Support Station

Field - Spell

Machine monsters you control gain 500 ATK and DEF for each Equip card equipped to it. Once per turn, if a “Heavy Mech” Spell/Trap card(s) you control would be destroyed, they are not destroyed. If a “Heavy Mech” monster you control battles an opponent's monster: You can Equip 1 appropriate Machine Union monster from your Deck to that monster. You can only use this effect of “Heavy Mech Support Station” once per turn.

Omega Thunderball
WIND - Level 2 - Thunder/Effect - 750/600
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Mega Thunderball" from your field or GY.  Once per turn: You can choose 1 zone on the field occupied by an opponent's monster; immediately after this effect resolves and during this End Phase, destroy the card in that zone. Cards and effects cannot be activated in that zone until this effect resolves.

Flux Field Thunderball
WIND - Level 2 - Thunder/Effect - 750/600
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Mega Thunderball" from your hand or field. You can only Special Summon "Flux Field Thunderball" once per turn. Once per turn: You can choose up to 2 zones on the field occupied by an opponent's Spell/Trap; during the End Phase of this turn and next turn, destroy the cards in those zones.

Megan Thunderball
WIND - Level 2 - Thunder/Pendulum/Effect - 750/600 - Scale 6
Pendulum:  You can Pendulum Summon Level 2 monsters (with any Pendulum Scales). You can Pendulum Summon Level 4 or lower Thunder monsters from your GY, but they must be Summoned in an Extra Monster Zone or Linked Zone. If this card in your Pendulum Zone leaves the field: You can return 1 of your banished "Thunderball" or "Ocubeam" monsters to the hand, except this card.
Monster: While equipped with "Mega Thunderball", this card gains 2000 ATK, also, this card and its equipped cards cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can equip 1 "Mega Thunderball" you control to this card. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can send 1 equipped "Mega Thunderball" to the GY and choose 1 zone on the field occupied by an opponent's card; immediately after this effect resolves and during this End Phase, destroy the card in that zone. Cards and effects cannot be activated in that zone until this effect resolves.

Ocubeamer Brynhildr
LIGHT - Level 5  - Fairy/Pendulum/Effect - 1550/1650 - Scale 1
Pendulum: If the Summon or effect activation of a "Thunderball" or "Ocubeam" monster(s) would be negated, you can banish this card instead. If this card in your Pendulum Zone leaves the field: You can return 1 face-up "Thunderball" or "Ocubeam" monster from your Extra Deck or GY to your hand, except this card.
Monster: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Ocubeam" from your hand or field. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 "Ocubeam" from your hand, field, or GY; move all monsters in the Extra Monster Zones to their controller's Main Monster Zone in the same column, also, after that, if a monster(s) was not moved, destroy it, and if you do, that Extra Monster Zone(s) cannot be used this turn. If this card is sent from the Monster Zone to the Extra Deck or GY: You can Special Summon 1 "Ocubeam" from your hand or GY.

Ocubeamer Geiravor
LIGHT - Level 5 - Fairy/Pendulum/Effect - 1550/1650 - Scale 6
Pendulum: Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 "Occubeam" monster you control; move it to 1 of your unoccupied Main Monster Zones. During your Main Phase: You can destroy the card in your other Pendulum Zone, then place 1 "Thunderball" or "Ocubeam" Pendulum Monster with a different name from your Extra Deck in your Pendulum Zone. You can only use this effect of "Ocubeamer Geiravor" once per turn.
Monster: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Ocubeam" from your hand or field. If this card is Special Summoned: You can destroy 1 card in your Pendulum Zone. You can only use this effect of "Ocubeamer Geiravor" once per turn. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 "Ocubeam" from your hand, field, or GY; move 1 monster in your opponent's Main Monster Zone in this card's column to 1 of their unoccupied Main Monster Zones, also, after that, if you did not move a card, destroy all cards your opponent controls in this column.

Ocubeamer Alruna
LIGHT - Level 5 - Fairy/Pendulum/Effect - 1550/1650 - Scale 1
Pendulum: Once per turn: You can move all cards in this card's column to an adjacent (horizontal) zone, also, after that, if a card(s) was not moved, destroy it. If you have no cards in your other Pendulum Zone: You can place 1 "Thunderball" or "Ocubeam" Pendulum Monster from your Deck in your Pendulum Zone. You can only use this effect of "Ocubeamer Alruna" once per turn.
Monster: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Ocubeam" from your hand or field. If this card is Special Summoned: You can send 1 "Thunderball" or "Ocubeam" monster from your Deck to the GY. You can only use this effect of "Ocubeamer Alruna" once per turn. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 "Ocubeam" from your hand, field, or GY; move 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls in this card's column to 1 of their unoccupied Spell & Trap Zones, also, after that, if you did not move a card, destroy all cards your opponent controls in this column.

Hear that Thunder
Normal - Spell
Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster that lists "Mega Thunderball" or "Ocubeam" as a Fusion Material by sending monsters from your Deck to the GY as Fusion Materials. You can treat the names of "Thunderball" and "Ocubeam" monsters as "Mega Thunderball" and "Ocubeam" respectively for this Fusion Summon. If that Fusion Monster is destroyed by battle or your opponent's card effect, immediately draw 1 card.

I'd be interested. Although if you accept me, would you mind extending the card post deadline to 7 days instead? I have some other things going on this week, including school and other stuff on the site.
