Well, guess Konami decided to give Pendulums some help surviving in the Link format and make them less dead in the ED. Outside maybe Pals/stuff, most Decks have consistent Scales among their members so they shouldn't have too many issues with this.

 

But...let's see how this works out.

Is this a hint that all Mythical Beast Pendulums will be Scale 4? I hope not...

Probably yes, but we have to see. 

 

Think a good chunk of Pendulum users appreciate this, since yeah, Pendulums were largely hit due to VRAINS and the ED thing with their mechanic. Also alleviates their need to run Links to some extent [i did not say "completely"] just to function.

Interesting, this is pretty much usable in all Pendulum Decks, since they tend to have at least 3-4 for each side of the Pendulum Scale, Magicians are probably the only ones that are too different to take advantage of this, which is silly since Duelist Alliance can search this card I assume.

But otherwise, yes, this card is searchable by Duelist Alliance (the Pendulum string in its Japanese text is in katakana, which this card is too, so...)

I was already comparing it with Salvage/Recurring Nightmare, also Spell Cards that retrieve 2 monsters with specific conditions, but this card being searchable by Duelist Advent is a plus that puts it slightly above those 2 Spells... for whatever that's worth.

Not that it particularly matters, but I find it hilarious.

 

For a better deck this works in (aside from the obvious) it can get plenty of value with Zefra. Archfiend Eccentrick sharing a scale with so many decent cards is a big part of why this has potential, the way I see it.

P sure D/D and Performapal way too scattered, off the top of my head.

Magicians actually have it easier, assuming you are running the Zarc ones as you should be, since the only non-1/8 scales you should be running are like Oafdragon and...Wisdom-Eye, I believe, and Wisdom-Eye can become another 1/8 anyways.
