PSY-Framelord Zeta

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls in face-up Attack Position; banish both that monster and this card from the field, but return them in your next Standby Phase. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can target 1 other "PSY-Frame" card in your Graveyard; return this card to the Extra Deck, and if you do, add that target to your hand.

Remember when Links where first revealed and I said that this was really good and none of you believed me?

Yeah, you guys were wrong this card is amazing against any deck using link monsters (Which is going to be all of them in a couple of months).

It's also good in any deck with Links (Which, Again, will be all of them).

Discuss?

I mean you weren't the only one lmao

shame Decode hard counters it tho

That assumes:

A, They are playing Decode.

B, They managed to summon Decode.

C, Their Decode Points to something.

And what are the odds of that happening?

(Also it was like 2 other people if I recall)

Ok, I get that, but post-EXFO.

You can't do a "see everyone! I told you soooooooooooooo" when you are talking about something that hasn't even happened yet.

Yeah, it can hit monsters at spell speed 2. That really isn't special. It will probably be fine in decks that can summon it (destrudo helps make it accessible) but it isn't some game-breaking monstrosity.

It was like 2 people out of the probably like 4 that cared enough about Zeta to post. I'm pretty sure there's another topic about Zeta that said the same thing.

Also everyone who's actually playing Links are playing Decode, it's not like the link 3 pool allows many other choices

This MIGHT change after Extreme Force but like the only 2 Links so far revealed aren't much better than Decode (I'd argue Thiccode is worse in every way, to be honest), and if want to run hypotheticals like that anyways, there's also the chance that EXFO Links can beat Zeta.

Card is good but there's no need to get so worked up over so many unknown factors.

Yeah, you weren't the only one. I also thought this would become a beast post-Links and kinda sorta hijacked a thread on PSYFramelord Omega, but I have yet to see this make big damages on the meta. I doesn't help that non-Link-centric stuff like True Dinosaurs (or Dinosaur Kings, whatever xD) remained at the top after the OCG hits on Zoodiacs and True Dracos.

It is not even like that, excode serves a completely different purpose in that he is a code talker with main monster zone pointers and 2 at that), so comparing them as generic cards is kind of difficult.

The angle I'd take is that the purpose Thiccode serves is largely worse than the purpose Decode serves /shrug

Coupled with being harder to make.

Sure, Thiccode has a "niche" but IMO those niches are still worse than the things Decode offers, and I don't think Decode is particularly amazing either.

To reiterate, they don't conflict with each other, and you can def run both without redundancy, it's just that one doesn't offer all that much and the other offers even less
