While this card is in your GY: You can target 1 "Super Quant" Xyz Monster you control; attach this card to that target as a material, and it becomes DARK and gains 200 ATK and DEF, but banish this card if it would be sent to the GY as a material. Some simple work here. It's actually kind of annoying how much each Quant monster does, which left me with trying to figure out which holes this deck wanted filled and how I could do so without busting things wide open. For Gold Layer specifically, it made some problems with finding a good niche for the card that didn't make it severely underpowered. As far as engine cards go, basically every standard niche I can think of is filled by the other layers, save removal and stat boosting, so I tried to work with what I got. I don't watch Power Rangers or sentai, but I tried to fit in some aaahh... decent flavor into these cards.

Serpemperor benefits from having Zeddra as material, but it is Rank1 while Zeddra is Level2, and since it' is not an actual "Super Quantum" you can't use it as material with Serpemperor's alternate summoning condition; so I can't tell if both should be either 1, or 2.

I don't like Signal because it is too straightforward; I mean, it's an archetype Reborn, and a searcher, and a Quick-Play for the added bonus. Really? I understand Quants needs support, but this approach is, well, too cookie-cutter-ish for my tastes. You could spice it up and it should be good to go, but I understand it may be easier said than done since, as you state, they already fill multiple niches, and a mere Reborn can do wonders for them.

The rest look good, and I like that you introduce a villain who kind of hijacks the Quantums. Although from the Power Rangers/Sentai series I watched, I don't remember any hijacker antagonist like that.

Actually, the intention was that you would attach Zedra as a material from the grave using his own effect, but that was something I didn't realize wasn't possible when I made the decision to not make it a "Super Quant" monster. I'm keeping with the decision to not make it a Quant monster, but its new summoning condition allows for it to be summoned with Zeddra involved as a material. It also adds an additional step to getting it out that should better suit its ability. I also realized that, having it summon with a material already for stat boosts could lead it to being a pretty absurd beater a little too soon, so I've changed how his stat modifier works to keep it from getting absurd too soon.

Just to note, based on my understanding of banish-from-grave S/T effects: its nature as a "quickplay" depends on the wording and the card itself. Traps, by default, are quickplay, while normal spells (such as this or Galaxy Cyclone) are not. I've stated that it has to wait a turn and it's during your Main Phase, so it's definitely not a quickplay.

And with E-Tele hit, the deck kinda needs something like this to operate. There's always the method of splitting it up into 2 cards, but I felt I should be more compact in how it operates. But, I'm still going to make some changes. The Summoning effect has been changed to only apply to Quantum monsters; meaning it only works with the Layers and not with the Fairy or Zeddra. I've also changed the searching effect. It still only searches Quantal cards, so it can't search the layers (But it can snag spells/traps except itself), but the discard effect at the end should balance out the value gained while also working with the sent-to-grave effects of the layers. Adds a bit more breadth of use to the card.

As for the hijacking flavor; to my knowledge it's not a major thing, especially not by Lord Zedd, but as far as making a "Nemesis" card that still works towards the deck's function while remaining flavorful, it becomes the kinda flavor of choice. I at least get use the DARK attribute as a sort of balancing factor to Zeddra's deck summon, though. Which is neat.

I also made Stellarwulf's target effect work on any face-up card. I felt like I needed something to differentiate it from being "just another Felgrand", and this adds some different strategies to how it works.

I also kinda wanted Nemesis to be the level 6; but in all honestly a 2-material rank 6 with 3000 attack is a lot easier to work with balance-wise and keeping it in-line with the other beasts than a 2-material rank 2 with 3200 defense.

You are right, the grave effect cannot be played as a Quick-Play/spell speed 2 effect, but still, the Reborn is Quick-Play and... just because the E-Tele they lost is also Quick-Play? I can get behind that, actually; at least it isn't a outright archetype E-Tele, haha

The changes sound good, too.

The reborn is not a quickplay? It's a normal spell not a Quickplay spell, and yes this is meant to fill in the niche that E-Tele once occupied, but obviously not as good as E-Tele because E-Tele is EXTREMELY good.

Changed Zeddra's material effect to banish itself if it would be sent to the grave as a material rather than if it would leave its target as a material. Realized that you could circumvent that downside just by using that monster for a rank-up and figured mmmmmm yeah no that's not gonna be balanced.

... I meant the reborn effect of Quantum Signal before it was remade as a Normal Spell, since I compared it with a archetype reborn earlier. Or if it wasn't Quick-Play, then I misread it this entire time.

It was never a quickplay.

Also, added a new card: Super Quantal Tactics. Overall I'm trying to work with making the deck a little less "Magnus Turbo", but I still imagine that would happen a lot. Still, in terms of how the game has changed since Quants could actually do things, and how many "Magnus Killer" cards are now available to be used by anyone, I imagine that such a route might not be so wise. Plus, link rules make Magnus just a bit harder to summon well anyways.
