Name - Magmant
Type (Magma Form) - Fire / Bug
Type (Obsidian Form) - Rock / Bug

Height - 0'9" / 0.3 m (Mamga) | 1'1" / 0.3 m (Obsidian)

Stats (Obsidian Form) (HP / Atk / Def / SpA / SpD / Spe [Total]) -  65 / 60 / 120 / 110 / 75 / 70 [bST - 500]
Notable Moves - Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Eruption, Lava Plume, Power Gem, Ancient Power, Bug Buzz, Flare Blitz, Flame Charge, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, X-Scissor, Earth Power, Earthquake, Will-o-Wisp
Description - Its an ant with its top half being exposed lava. When it changes forms, it becomes

A fast bug with a rather unique gimmick. Well, not that unique - in-battle form changes have been done before. However, the activation of the change form is rather unique, and has some neat flavor. It also helps that the change between forms isn't as jarring as, say, Darmanitan. On the mon itself, it acts as a strong-ish and fast attacker which, upon getting hit by a Water attack, becomes more physically bulky at the cost of speed. Outside of raw attacks, it lacks in terms of a movepool.

A slow electric-type. Subtype can be anything.

Stats - 80 / 70 / 100 / 140 / 100 / 50 (BST 540)

Assume it gets access to every non-unique Electric move and some other support moves. I haven't decided yet because it is not required for this game.

Height: 2'5" / 0.7 m

Weight: 77 lbs / 35.9 kg

Stats:

560 total

HP: 72

ATK: 108

DEF: 100

Sp. ATK: 150

Sp. DEF: 100

SPD: 30

Egg Group:

Human-like, Monster

Dex Entry:

High in the mountains, some people report seeing Kobolt dancing in large numbers during thunderstorms and blizzards. Most of these people disappear within a week of reporting these incidents.

STAB Bolt Beam coverage on one Pokémon with base 150 Special Attack. What's not to love? Yes, it's horribly slow, but given its relatively high defenses it can take a hit . . . or you could put it on a Trick Room team and just eat through everything. Yes, it has a lot of weaknesses- Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Ground weaknesses on the same Pokémon is just not a recipe for a fun time- but thankfully none of them are quad, and the Electric typing actually negates one- Ice's Steel weakness.

It very much resembles a mischievous imp, with a skinny body, large head, long claws, and a comedically oversized mouth with teeth too big for its face. It's bright, sickening yellow with pale blue trim normally, and its shiny inverts this to give it a more pleasing light blue body with little bits of yellow detailing.

Make a Pokémon with two different weather-summoning abilities (eg, Drought and Sand Stream), that in some way benefits from them both.

Dex: These pokemon are very magnetic. They are usually seen running from a Magnemite, because the Magnemite is attracted magnetically to an Elestone.

Appearance: Looks like two rocks magnetically attracting and repelling each other, resulting in them floating. Each rock has hands and a face, tho the faces look a little demented.

[spoiler=Maginight]

Maginight (Magic + Knight/night)

Fairy / Fight

Righteous justice Pokemon

3rd evolution

Base stats: 520

General description: An anthropomorphic Pokemon more on the lines of Gardevoir in that it doesn't resemble an specific animal, plant, etc., but instead an angel and a stereotypical magical girl/boy. Females look as if they wore a skirt, like Kirlia, while males wear more like bright colored fancy/formal suits; and no, they don't look feminine at all to keep cross-dressing jokes away. Also, both females and males have different color variations so you could very well build your own 6-Pokemon rainbow magical team; males can be red, yellow or orange, and females can be green, blue or purple. As a bonus, each color has an unique moves whose Type matches their color; similar to Rotom formes. Also, females and males have different stat spread, males having a higher base Atk, and females a higher Sp.Atk.

General stat spread: High Spd (~115), moderate Atk/Sp.Atk (~100, males/females)

Yellow: Volt Tackle | Thunder Wave

Orange: Earthquake | Spikes

Females:

Green: Petal Dance | Leech Seed

Blue: Water Spout | Aqua Ring

Purple: Sludge Wave | Toxic Spikes

Role:

Sweeper. With x4 resistances to both Bug and Dark but little resistances, this Pokemon is practically asking to take advantage from Rattled, and to a lesser extent Justified. The idea is to switch it into a predicted Bug or Dark attack to trigger the boost ability, and proceed to hit as much as possible, or set up with a respective boosting move. The Hidden ability Prankster allows to give a try to disruptive sets with their respective support moves coupled with priority setup moves, Moonlight, Substitute, Taunt, etc.

Sakura... more than complementing it, that ability overlaps with its resistances, and that's not what I had in mind. Thick Fat would have been a good pick for example, since it would make it resist Fire attacks, and let it switch into burn-inducing moves, while nullifying its Ice weaknesses. But it's my fault, I should have been more specific.

[spoiler=Rainbotoko]

Rainbotoko

Psychic / Dragon

Rainbow Pokemon

Base stats: 600

No evolution

Genderless

General stat spread: Moderate Sp.Atk and Speed (~120), average defenses

General description: A "Mew type" legendary in that it's small, cute and has 600 base stats, but unlike Mew and more like Marshadow, it doesn't have 100 on all of its stats.

Ability:

Rainbow: When switched in, its ability activates, first declaring 2 Types: 1 is always the Type of the first move in the Pokemon moveset, and the other is random. While the Pokemon is out, Status moves of the announced Type gain +1 Priority, while offensive moves have their base power increased by 30%. Also gives a not-so-hidden boost on Water Pledge, increasing its power by 30% and triggering the rainbow effect without the need of Fire Pledge.

Notable moves:

It has access to more support moves of different types or light-themed to mix & match with its ability.

Role:

Special sweeper. Due to its rainbow theme, it gets all sorts of different Type moves, giving it incredible coverage options. Its ability either allows it to inflict more damage with a desired coverage move, or hit harder with Psychic and Dragon attacks; it can also take a support/disruption role due to the +1 priority on moves with the announced Type. Also, with a lucky roll, another of its moves will get the benefit if its randomly called. It's also intended to have a support role in double/triple battles if, let's say, its first move on the moveset matches the main moves of its partner(s). There is a risk chance too, as the random Type call may end up helping the opposing Pokemon.

Fosspecter

Type: Ghost/Rock

Ability: Skill Link / Solid Rock (Weak Armor)

Height: 5'2" / 1.5 m

Weight: 99 lbs / 44.9 kg

Stats:

530 total

HP: 90

ATK: 130

DEF: 110

Sp. ATK: 50

Sp. DEF: 50

SPD: 100

Egg Group:

Human-like, Mineral

Dex Entry:

When archaeological digs bring up human skeletons, a spectral Pokémon can combine with the fossilized bones and become Fosspecter.

This is an unusual sweeper to say the least- a huge physical focus, and yet a good chunk of its moves are Special, low-power, or both, and the real unfortunate part about Fosspecter is that the majority of its movepool is composed of moves with limited accuracy. However, this is mitigated by a unique item, the Skill Bone, that only it can hold- increasing the base power and accuracy of all its attacking moves by 20%. A Skill Bone Fosspecter with Skill Link can, in theory, obliterate a lot of nasty walls with something like Bone Rush, Rock Blast, or Double Slap.

Its design resembles a rough, partial brown skeleton, held together by a greenish phantom miasma. Its Sony form turns the skeleton pure white, and its surrounding aura a blue-violet tinge.

Make a Pokémon based on Anomalocaris. You should know from Paleozoics, but essentially it was the gigantic, predatory cousin of the trilobite, believed to have been unstoppable in its era because the only thing that could penetrate one's armor plating was another one.

Role:
Bug Type "bulky water". The Bug type offers it resistance to Ground and Fight attacks, then it can threat the former with STAB Water attacks backed up with its average Atk; it can also scare Fight Type Pokemon with Zen Headbutt. Curse setup builds are also an option, further supported by STAB Leech Life for recovery. Under rain its defensive capabilities are boosted by weakening Fire attacks, also Hydration not only keeps it safe from status, it can combo it with Rest as well. Alternatively, Compound Eyes can be used to patch up the imperfect accuracy of Razor Shell, Aqua Tail, Iron Tail, Clamp, etc. Moreover, as a Bug Pokemon it can access the narrowly distributed Sticky Web.

Role:

Support. Priority Spore, Leech Seed, Will-o-Wisp, Synthesis, Aromatherapy, signature variant of Parting Shot, etc. allow it to disrupt the foe, support the team, or both. It can also give a shot to sweeping with the boosts from STAB + Solar Power + Sun Fire boost and instant Solar Beams, and Growth as setup option. Alternatively, its hidden Ability Pledge Surge allows it to function well without sun, and even take a different approach on disruption with the extra effects of the Pledge moves.

I was ninja'd halfway through making the prompt, but decided to complete it and post in anyway:

Mirrobeak
Flying / Steel
Mirror Hummingbird Pokemon
Total base stats: 500
General stat spread: High Spd (~110), average HP and defenses (~70), moderate Sp.Atk (~100)
Appearance: Mirror themed Pokemon. Resembles a Hummingbird wearing polished plates as armor that practically look like mirrors.

Abilities:
Trace | Tinted Lens
Hidden: Sugar Rush. While holding a berry or Honey, the Pokemon restores 1/16 of its Max HP every turn (Leftovers effect), also the Pokemon Speed is increased by 50%.

Notable moves:
Air Slash
Flash Cannon
Hurricane
Mirror Shot

Anchor Shot

Infestation
U-Turn
Focus Blast
Heat Wave
Dazzling Gleam

Signature Move:
Mirror Blast
Flying
Damage

Suppresses the foe's ability (Gastro Acid effect). If the foe's ability is the same as the users', the power is increased by 50%.

Mirror Move

Role:
Special Sweeper. Designed to switch into most hazards and threats, Trace the ability of the opposing Pokemon, and trap it and/or hurt back with its signature move, or at the very least threat it and possibly force a switch out. Despite having average defenses, the typing should assist with its endurance. Also it has plenty of support moves to pick from, which may put to good use due to its base Speed; in a way it can also be used as a faster but more frail Skarmory.

As of now, I got some ideas for the last prompt, but I don't mind being ninja'd before I complete the entry.

Double post to highlight that there is a new prompt:

[spoiler=Grassoot]

Grassoot (Grass + Soot)

Grass / Ground

Grass bulb Pokemon

Base stats: 500

General stat spread: really high HP (~200), average Atk, Def (~70) and Sp. Atk (~80), low Spd (~30)

Appearance: A Pokemon based on a root. It's gigantic, covered in grass and likes to bury half of it underground. To travel, it digs itself out and starts rolling towards more fertile lands, leaving a trail of grass ans grass seeds on its path. The size justifies its large base HP.

Abilities:

Water Absorb | Unaware

Hidden: Grassy Surge

Notable Moves:

Energy Ball

Giga Drain

Grass Knot

Leaf Storm

Earth Power

Earthquake

Synthesis

Ingrain

Substitute

Spikes

Grassy Terrain

Protect

Leech Seed

Toxic

Stealth Rock

Role:

Special wall, and a Grassy Terrain setter alternative to Tapu Bulu that isn't as vulnerable to Poison attacks, although it is weak to Ice. It's intended to take the most advantage from recovery effects through its large HP pool. Ideally it should be able to live long by stacking Leftovers + Grassy Terrain, and possibly add Leech Seed and Ingrain to the mix; Substitute can contribute to its endurance, too. Also it can still deliver decent Grass special attacks due to its base Sp.Atk paired with STAB plus the boost from Grassy Terrain.

Next:

Make a dance-themed Pokemon that includes the following ability as one of its options:

Graceful Dance: Dance moves gain +1 priority.

You are allowed to make up to 2 offensive Dance moves for coverage purposes, but you are encouraged to design the Pokemon around the existing offensive Dance moves before resorting to giving it new ones. Also keep in mind Revelation Dance and its Type-changing properties.

Ability: Tough Claws / Speed Boost (Graceful Dance)

Height: 3'9" / 1.1 m

Weight: 45 lbs / 21 kg

Stats:

534 total

HP: 88

ATK: 94

DEF: 80

Sp. ATK: 88

Sp. DEF: 80

SPD: 98

Egg Group:

Field, Human-like

Dex Entry:

Alone, each one finds its own rhythm and style of dance, designed both as a method of expression and combat. When two of them fight, the loser takes on the winner's dance style.

A Bug/Fighting Pokémon that learns every dance move in the game, most punches and kicks, and a laundry list of Bug, Poison, and Steel moves? Well, I'll be damned! Yeah, the point here is sweeping, but it's just so fun to experiment with its rather interesting movepool. However, regardless of which of its three Abilities you have, you're probably going to want War Dance, a Bug-Type version of Power-Up Punch that also lowers the Speed of whatever you hit.

Widoeira looks like a spider standing on four of its legs, the other four paired up into "arms". As its name would indicate, it has a black-and-red color scheme, like a black widow. Interestingly, its idle animation has it moving through ten of about 80 different poses, one at a time, shifting poses at a rhythm that is different between members of the species and in a defined order, giving each one its own unique "dance" . . . well, technically, there is a limited palette of poses and rhythms the game selects from, but given that there are over 16 billion dance possibilities, it's extremely unlikely that anyone will ever see two with the same dance. Its shiny, meanwhile, is green and gold, looking very Brazilian.

Make an offensive Dark/Poison-Type. I'd appreciate you giving it a unique move, but it's not necessary.

Description - A rather angry looking poison dart frog, similar to Toxicroak. Unlike actual poison dart frogs, Cyanart fights with dart-like projectiles.

A glass cannon with a move that can have a rather high chance to poison the opponent. It has a bit of versatility between its abilities - Technician powers up Dart Rain and Hidden Power, while Merciless allows it to break through bulky walls if they are poisoned.

68 Pokemon already, counting until this one? Damn, that's a lot.

By the way Sakura, the first Pokemon is Fire/Psychic, not Electric/Psychic.

A cool follow-up game could be to pick these and polish them 1 by 1 properly, including movesets and strategic base stats.

[spoiler=Rabbunton]

Rabbunton (Rabbit + bunny + glutton)
Big bunny Pokemon
Electric
Base stats: 540
Stat spread: high HP (~250) and Def (~100), below ATK (~50), low Sp.Atk, Sp.Def and Spe
Appearance: An oversized big, Totoro-looking rabbit. It's intended to be some kind of a parody toward the "Pikachu clones", in that instead of being small and quick, it is slow and bulky. In a way, it's a cross of Pikachu with Snorlax. It is big and strong enough to take thick wigs from big trees and gnaw them as snacks.

Abilities:
Thick Fat | Fluffy
Hidden: Sap Sipper

Notable & flavor moves:
Nuzzle
Volt Tackle
Thunderpunch
Volt Switch

Seismic Toss
Rollout
Belch
Heavy Slam
Earthquake
Rock Slide

Stone Edge
Fling
Surf

Ice Punch

Fire Punch

Belly Drum
Slack Off

Heal Bell
Thunder Wave
Substitute
Spiky Shield
Toxic
Stealth Rock
Ion Deluge
Eerie Impulse
Rest
Sleep Talk
Curse
Yawn

Wish

Role:
Physical wall. As pure Electric, it has only 1 weakness like Blissey, in this case to Ground, and it gets 3 resistances plus STAB on a Type with offensive effectiveness. With high HP, Def, reliable recovery and recovery support, it fills a similar support role as Blissey, although it's able to deliver punches slightly stronger than Seismic Toss due to its higher offense stat combined with super effective STAB moves. Offensive builds with Belly Drum and/or possibly Sap Sipper are an option for the surprise factor, but needless to say they would require a different strategy and even a bit of team support.

Next:

A Pokemon with the following ability as one of its options:

Trick Star: Activates Trick Room Turns when the Pokémon enters a battle.

As the ability implies, it should be a Pokemon designed to set Trick Room and/or support Trick Room-based teams.

You know what? That sounds like a good idea. Polishing some Pokémon and filling in details that each person didn't add (for example, I've only provided vague clues on movepools, and Sakura doesn't give the physical design).

Swaplace

Type: Psychic/Dark

Abilities: Trick Star / Inversion- All Type relationships are reversed (Prankster)

Height: 4'4" / 1.3 m

Weight: 160 lbs. / 79 kg

Stats:

520 total

HP: 100

ATK: 120

DEF: 80

Sp. ATK: 120

Sp. DEF: 80

SPD: 20

Egg Group:

Fairy, Amorphous

Dex Entry:

Often mistaken for an old doll and picked up by children, many homes have a Swaplace and don't know about it. Given their penchant for making various things their exact opposite, a good child suddenly becoming hateful and mischievous can often be blamed on one.

Go ahead. Try to figure out this Pokémon's function on a team. Seriously though, it's mostly a setup Pokémon for Trick Room that doubles as a sweeper. Or, if that's not your thing, it turns the battle at hand into an Inverse Battle, so there's always that. It's got a wide movepool that gives it answers to all kinds of threats, but it's mostly based on attacking.

It looks like a particularly weird doll, with a large blue head and a huge, poofy pink "dress", met by a skinny waist and long, noodly arms. Its eyes and smiling mouth are also a pleasant pink . . . on the top head. You see, when it attacks, there's an intimidating, snarling red face, and indeed a second torso, as it flips over and conceals the smiling one underneath the poofy dress. Its shiny coloration turns its dress a regal purple, its body pale white, the smiling face becomes pale blue, and the snarling face bright orange. Note that the rest of the head is the same color as the arms, and its skin tone doesn't change when it flips- just the expression and the color the eyes and mouth look- think a painted face.

Its appearance in the anime would basically be a one-episode "Freaky Friday" for two main characters (perhaps Ash and the Max/Bonnie equivalent to add some stress to a confrontation with Team Rocket later on, if not just swapping Ash with James or something).

Make a Pokémon that makes off with an ability that is so far unique- either created in this thread, or in the games- and uses it in a different way.

This isn't supposed to be a shittier version of CAP; to be fair, you only need to provide name, type, ability and stat spread. There is no need to provide a movepool (though it helps) or a description.

(But if you want to do the follow-up game, or make a club for it, sure. IDK if Cow does CAP stuff in Showdown though; likely not.)

But then again, there's technically more 'mons if we count the ninja'd ones. (I need to update the OP)

Also Draco, you need to add the next prompt.

Yeah, this isn't CAP, but really, I see cool ideas here that I would like to be seen fleshed out.

And well, CAP stands out for the high quality control and deep analysis of the metagames and the hypothetical impacts the created Pokemon would have, plus of course the project team and users involved are more dedicated to it, but I suspect we can be more lax with the deep analyses and hypotheses and still generate good Pokemon IMO. Whether they would drastically affect the game or not, that would be a different matter, though xD

By the way, I find ironic that this thread gives more priority to stat spread than movepool, when for me the stats are more difficult to determine than the movepool. As I see it, with the movepool you really can't go wrong with STAB moves, a bit of coverage, and support moves that go with the desired build and typings; among the things you have to be careful about is giving too much coverage or access to heavy-hitting moves, as well as determining of a wall really deserves a reliable recovery move or not. But stats, oh boy, that's a different matter, because then you have to get into more technical stuff like speed tiers, HP "magic numbers" like leftovers, substitute and sandstorm numbers, factor in the abilities, and if going more serious, roll some attack calculations to gauge the power of what you are making.

Well, this is a Yugioh site, not Smogon.

But yeah, might modify the form to add movepools if desired. The description can generally be left off and filled in later.

Anyway...should flesh out that reindeer 'mon I have in WIP status.

Name - Reinshika (you can probably guess what words this is comprised of)

Type - Electric

Height - 6'4 / 193 cm

Weight - 242 lb / 109.8 kg

Ability - Flash Star / Lightning Flyer

Flash Star: Attacks used by this Pokemon or its allies deal 30% more damage.

Lightning Flyer: Cannot be status'd by an opponent's moves. However, it can still receive status from a held item or an ally Pokemon.

Stats - 80 / 135 / 90 / 70 / 90 / 135 [bST 600]

Movepool - Sparkling Volt [110 BP / 10 PP / 100% accuracy], Wild Charge, Double Edge, Horn Leech, Megahorn, Play Rough, Iron Tail, U-turn, Extreme Speed, Icicle Crash, Thunderbolt, Discharge, Thunder Wave, Close Combat

(there's far more, but yeah)

Appearance - (those of you who saw that pic I posted in Sleepy's club have a general idea, except think of it colored in red)

Also hello Ubers; you're probably landing up there because it outruns a ton of stuff, has a great Attack stat which gets better with its ability pushing more damage or inability to get status'd. Oh heck, it literally has a move to deal with most Ground-types (maybe except Primal Groudon or something, but yeah).

Specially-oriented Ground type

Yeah. Not saying you should overhaul this thread into a proper CAP project nor anything, since of course it would be asking too much, and that's better left for another thread or a Club as you suggest. Just wanted to state that despite this not being a Pokemon forum and not every YCMer being a bone-deep metagame expert, I believe we could still come up with really cool and established Pokemon.
