What cards from the anime would see play if they had kept their original effect?

Sabatiel the Philosopher's stone

"When a "Winged Kuriboh" is destroyed, you can add this card from your Deck to your hand. When you activate this card, pay half your Life Points to switch this card with 1 card in your Deck or Graveyard. After you activate that card and it resolves, add this card from your Deck to your hand. If you activate this card after switching cards 3 times by this card's effect, its effect becomes the following effect. This turnSelect 1 face-up monster on the field, and multiply its ATK by the number of monsters your opponent controls."

Pretty much you get to search any 3 cards for (Basically) free and then you get to double-quintuple 1 monster's attack.

 

Way better than the actual card.

Magical Mallet

 

In the anime it's a ±0 rather than a -1 so there's no reason not to run it for consistency boost, especially in decks with garnet-y cards. Also it shuffles itself back into the deck and has no once per turn so you can get the hand fixing effect throughout the duel.

Illegal Keeper FTK/OTK.

Chaos End Ruler FTK/OTK.

Wiracoqucha Rasca FTK/OTK.

If we include those generic draw cards ... Exodia FTK.

The Wicked Avatar due to being basicly unkillable outside of Kaiju and even then you have no Spells/Traps for 1 more turns (not including the current).

The Blazing Mars (anime version) due to being a less restricted D. Ruler.

Astrograph Sorcerer and Zarc (both anime versions).

Gagaga Head due to his ridiculous amounts of draws he hands you for the cost of getting out an xyz.

Gofu due to being an even better version of its real game version.

Any kind of ridiculous draw engine (graceful dice, card of demise, card of sanctity, that rose monster which can be discarded to draw 1 ...)

"Laplace" due to being a ridiculous burn device.

Vampiric Leach FTK perhaps.

Expressroid due to being a salvage on legs for machines.

Scab Scar Knight.

Ivy Bind Castle due to "lul all your cards are negated ... period".

Mathematician due to being "lul add anything if I get destroyed via battle".

Sabatiel (though falling into an above mentioned category).

Three-Eyed Ghost.

Thousand-Eyed Ghost.

Ashingray.

Ipiria.

Starving Venom Fusion Dragon due to being sick.

Doom Virus Dragon due to "lul crush card your field and deck with instant fusion".

Clear Wing due to "lul no OPT restriction in any way".

Ultimitl Bishbalkin due to being far better than the real version with Rex's dark tuner.

New Orders 12 and 10 with the anime Astral Force.

Number 88 and Number C88 FTK/OTK.

Number 39 due to being only weak to numbers in battle and kaijus ... while protecting mask of restrict.

Raid Raptor Rise Falcon perhaps (at least for RR players).

If we include manga ...

Number's avail lock (number 86 with 14 materials).

While this card is on the field, control of this card cannot switch and the card is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards and Effect Monsters other than “Obelisk the Tormentor” and “The Winged Dragon of Ra”. While face-up on the field, this card is also Warrior-Type. Control of this card cannot switch. Cards cannot be equipped to this card. During the End Phase when this card is Special Summoned, return this card to where this card was Special Summoned except from Hand. The effect of "The Winged Dragon of Ra" only affects this card for one turn. When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, it is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. This card can always attack during the turn it is Summoned. This card's ATK and DEF are equal to the combined ATK and DEF of the monsters Tributed to Summon it, respectively. Once per turn, you may pay 1000 Life Points to destroy all monsters your opponent controls. You can Tribute monsters in order to increase this card's ATK by the Tributed monsters' ATK. You can pay any amount of Life Points in order to increase this card's ATK by the amount of Life Points paid. If you use this effect, you can send one "De-Fusion" in your hand or under your control to the Graveyard in order to reduce this card's ATK to 0 and increase your Life Points by this card's prior ATK. Not as savage as Ra's. But what about the Seal of Orichalcos, Orichalcos Deuteroes, and Orichalcos Triteros? The amount of BS you could unleash with just the first one in a spam heavy deck would be absurd.

Though they are overshadowed by instant win cards like Illegal Keeper FTK etc. Also are the 3 Orichalcos forms not meh ? (Bar having 10 monsters). All +500 ... so what, 500 life gain per monster ... eh, no targetting spells and traps against monsters ... is that supposed to be good ?
