So just an idea i had for decks with spellcasters in it.

 

Mana Shield

Spell (continues)

Effect: Activate only if you control a spellcaster. Each time a spell card is activated, place a spell counter on this card when that spell card resolves(max 3). Remove 3 spell counters from this card (quick effect); prevent target monster from being destroyed.

Other than the OCG being off, this is a relatively useful card. I play a lot with Spell Counter Podcasters, and I can say, while this wouldn't be AMAZING for then, it could prove useful. I would probs run 1-2 in a deck. OCG would look like this:

Continuous Spell

This card can only be activated while you control a Spellcaster-type monster. If a Spell card is activated, place 1 Spell Counter on this card when it resolves (max. 3). Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a monster you control would be destroyed, you can remove 3 Spell Counters from this card (Quick Effect): that monster is not destroyed.

 

Anyway, should be an ok card. Hope this helps!
