H.A.T. (Herald Artifact Trickstar)

Ok so the premise of this deck is that I wanted to abuse the Herald handtraps with EBE. Then it was just a matter of filling the deck with Fairies so that the Heralds would always be live, preferably LIGHT Fairies so that they could be banished for EBE's effect.

Ties is for targeting Candina and Summoning an attack position Barrier Statue and Honest. Use Honest's effect to return it to the hand to protect Barrier Statue. That's not my idea, but I can't remember where I heard it.

Basically the deck is built to counter SPYRAL. Lots of handtraps is obviously good against them, while Barrier Statue/Scythe stops most of their Special Summons (although notably not SPYRAL Sleeper in both cases) and Reincarnation is just good against decks that search a lot, while also shitting on Super Agent.

However, the deck has a problem with ending games. Most of that Extra Deck stuff you see there never comes out, and the legendary triple Honest OTK never happens. Been thinking about Lycoris but I don't really know how to fit it in, or how to use it tbh.

Comments welcome! A written decklist will be provided upon request.

Maybe jam 1 of another field spell to increase the utility of AFD? I don't really know what would be synergistic, because I really don't know the cards, but would a destrudo engine tlbe beneficial?

Probably wouldn't be worth it. Lightstage is just a Rota, no HOPTs or anything, so there's no harm in popping stage to search stage. If there was another Light Fairy deck that had a good field spell, I'd try to fit it in there, and then maybe Destrudo would be worth it, but as is, Destrudo is just another card that isn't a Fairy t1 going second (which is why I don't run Desires). Also the deck not very combo based, which makes the extra speed/spam power that AFDestrudo provides rather superfluous. It's actually very similar in playstyle to the original H.A.T. deck, Hand Artifact Traptrix, which was notoriously grindy.
