Azure Flash the Torrential Overdragon Lord

3+ WATER Monster

When this card is Link Summoned, return cards on the field to the owners hand up to the number of Dragon Monsters used as this cards Link Material. Once per turn (quick effect): you can target 1 face up card your opponent controls, negate that cards effects until the End Phase that turn. At the start of the damage step, if a monster your opponent controls attacks a monster other than "Azure Flash the Torrential Overdragon Lord": the attacking monsters ATK becomes 0 until after damage calculation. When this card leaves the field, you can Special Summon 1 WATER Dragon Monster from your Hand, Deck or GY to your side of the field. You can only activate this effect of "Azure Flash the Torrential Overdragon Lord" once per turn.

So Azure Flash acts as the ultimate WATER Monster where it can return cards from the field to the hand if a Dragon is used as a Link Material, then, it can negate effects for a turn and makes it so your opponent has to attack this otherwise their monsters ATK will become 0 if attacking another monster.

 

With this Merlantians can use this to great effect with Mistar Boy as their Link 2 Water Monster.

Right now, this is pretty much a copy-paste of Kaiser Flare's review, save for different wording, and can/will be treated as spam in the future.

Unlike with Kaiser Flare, I won't fix the OCG, but will still review this properly under the AC.

 

Looking at the WATER Dragon pool, this has even less viable monsters that can be used to bounce stuff (which is essentially none that either aren't Main Deck or actually worth running). It sucks, because the bouncing is really nice. Other effects are fine (the Breakthrough Skill one and the weakening effect). Last effect is essentially a copy/paste of Kaiser's effect, except for WATER monsters. Same as before, if you really intend for this to revive itself, you need a hard OPT on it; otherwise it's nearly impossible to get rid of, unless you have Macro Cosmos up or something. 

 

(But even then, it's unlikely you're running more than 1 copy in your Extra Deck due to the requirements and essentially results in you recycling this over and over.)

 

 

Hopefully you actually read the critique people give.
