Hi! I love creating custom Yu-Gi-Oh! cards! For that reason, I've scavenged the interwebs to retrieve some of the best artwork I can find, turning those amazing pieces of art into my own custom card ideas. Though I don't partake in dueling anymore (or even keeping up with what's new//current), I still like to spend time creating random cards that I'd like to think would be excellent additions to the TCG if they ever could be. So without further adieu, here is my first batch of random custom cards. As always, any and all critique is welcomed!

[spoiler=Autonomous Mechanical Spire]JKAT2GX.png

Autonomous Mechanical Spire

Field Spell Card

All Machine-Type monsters gain 100 ATK for each Junk Counter on the field. Each time a Machine-Type monster is Normal or Special Summoned, place 1 Junk Counter on this card. Once per turn, if you would send "Machine Assembly Line" from the field to the Graveyard to activate it's card effect: Return it to the hand instead.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Generic Machine-Type support! Since the only other Machine-Type Field Spells are Revolving Switchyard and Union Hangar (which are not very generic at all), I concocted a card that would be exceptionally useful to a plethora of Machine-Type archetypes and decks. In addition, it gives "Machine Assembly Line" (a card that should've been a Field Spell from the get-go >_>) some nice support, abusing the various swarm effects of Machines in general for increased ATK while allowing you to recycle "Machine Assembly Line" repeatedly for more summons! With Machines being one of my favorite types, I couldn't call myself a devotee if I didn't give them some proper support.
[spoiler=Brahma, the Swamp King]SialdQa.png
Brahma, the Swamp King
WATER - 9 Stars - Aqua/Fusion/Effect
"King of the Swamp" + 2 or more monsters
You can Fusion Summon this card (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control from your Graveyard. The original ATK of this card is equal to the combined original ATK of the Fusion Material Monsters used to Fusion Summon it. Once per turn: You can Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Materials. When this card leaves the field, destroy all Fusion Monsters Fusion Summoned by this card's effect.
ATK/? DEF/0
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Not gonna lie, I was actually inspired to make this card after seeing Thomas Zero's "King of the Lake" (how doyou tag someone here, btw?). First thing that came to mind: "Hmmmm, I wonder what a fusion based on King of the Swamp himself would look like?". Well, here is my rendition! Brahma is able to allow the swamp king to be the head-honcho in charge after fusing, instead of being a mere substitute to achieving other fusions. In this form, the Swamp King serves as a OPT Polymerization, although if Brahma leaves the field, the other fusions explode like Il Blud's zombies. I don't see many decks that this would be useful in, but in those centered around Fusion Summoning a crapton, this would definitely be a staple!

[spoiler=Burial Destruction]BTZgTHk.png

Burial Destruction

Normal Spell Card

You must control at least 1 face-up Dragon-Type monster to activate this card. Select any number of cards from your opponent's Graveyard, up to the amount of face-up Dragon-Type monsters you control; banish the selected cards. During either player's turn, if an opponent's card is sent from the field to the Graveyard while you control at least 1 face-up Dragon-Type monster: You can activate this card from your hand.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you in love with Dragon-Type monsters? Do you hate those pesky decks that abuse the Graveyard like it's another deck? Then I've got the card for you! Burial Destruction is side deck card (unless the meta was nothing but Graveyard abuse, then this card would probably be in every Dragon-Type main deck) that allows you to get rid of those annoying cards that love being sent to the Graveyard. For example, Triamid players would hate this card! No wonder he's destroying a pyramid in the artwork! :D
[spoiler=Burning Machete]64raQV5.png
Burning Machete
FIRE - 4 Stars - Zombie/Effect
This card must attack if able. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: You can pay 500 LP; Special Summon this card from the Graveyard to your side of the field in face-up Attack Position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of the turn. When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard: Target 1 monster on the field; destroy that target.
ATK/1980 DEF/1300
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This card was originally going to be the card I submitted for the Custom Card Halloween Contest, but I came up with a better idea instead. But that doesn't mean I don't think it's a great card! Based on Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, the flavor of the unstoppable monster is written all over this guy. Constantly attacking, a zombie that revives himself, 1980 ATK points... could I have made any more references? (Here's a secret, there's more!)

[spoiler=Equleis of the North]NcjSTF8.png

Equleis of the North

DARK - 4 Stars - Beast/Spirit/Effect

Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return it to the hand. If this card battles a Xyz Monster, return both monsters to their owner's hands at the start of the Damage Step (without damage calculation).

ATK/1600 DEF/800

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Though I've never used Spirit monsters, the research I did into this card's lore made me think it'd be a nice Spirit-Type monster. Based on the Equuleus constellation and the northern lights, Equleis is an elusive creature that is meant to serve as a deterrent to Xyz Monsters, serving as a counterpart to the anti-Synchro Spirit monster, Gundari! Outside of that, there's nothing else special about this card... most likely a side deck card for Spirit users who really hate playing against Xyz Monsters.
[spoiler=Gate to the Crystal Realm]IiH8rph.png
Gate to the Crystal Realm
Normal Trap Card
Target up to 2 banished "Crystal Beast" monsters; place those targets face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as Continuous Spell Cards. You cannot Summon other monsters the turn you activate this card (but you can Set).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What in the heck am I doing making Crystal Beast support?! I used to hate this archetype back in the day (shoutout to my poor Vanilla Beatdown deck), but the card art definitely reminded me of Crystal Beasts, so I thought, screw it, why not? Upon some investigation I remembered Crystal Beasts weakness being RFG, especially with Rainbow Dragon and it's card effect. With this card, it makes RFG less of a scary idea. It could either be dead weight if you don't have Crystal Beasts getting banished left and right, or it can be a life-saver when you really need to retrieve those banished Crystal Beasts in a pinch. Either way, this is another side deck card that is very situational.

[spoiler=O'Naga the Forgotten King]Mw5XdHZ.png

O'Naga the Forgotten King

DARK - 9 Stars - Fiend/Dragon/Effect

Cannot be Special Summoned. Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set from the hand. Must be Tribute Summoned (from your Graveyard) by tributing 2 monsters that are either Fiend or Dragon-Type. When this card is Tribute Summoned: Special Summon up to 2 Fiend or Dragon-Type monsters from your hand, then destroy monsters on the field equal to the number of monsters Summoned this way. When this card is removed from the field, place it on the bottom of your Deck instead.

ATK/3200 DEF/2700

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nope, your eyes aren't deceiving you. That most definitely says Fiend/Dragon-Type. You ever wonder if dual type monsters would become a thing, or why it hasn't already? Some might argue it could lead to some serious opness, but I'd beg to differ. I think it wouldn't be that bad, and would actually be very fun to see what new card concepts and deck ideas would come to life as a result. So here is my first ever dual-type monster, O'Naga the Forgotten King! The weirdness doesn't end with just his type - this dude has to be TRIBUTE SUMMONED from the GRAVEYARD. Unless that's already a thing, I'd like to pridefully call myself the first person ever to create this idea! With his tribute summon, he can call forth two of his Fiend and/or Dragon-Type minions from your hand, which also results in the destruction of monsters on the field depending on how many you summon. A powerful effect for a powerful creature, hopefully O'Naga returning to the bottom of the Deck balances out his ridiculous summoning capabilities.
