Hieratic Link surprised me tbph, whereas the Crystron one didn't, discuss?

Hieratic: ... a drident kind of card (which can then turn itself into a 0 ATK REDMD, if for nothing else as a sort of grave setup) for dragons with the ideal link 2 markers for not completely link focused decks.

Crystron: ... the archtype can now summon the accel synchro with 2 monsters on board rather than 2 + setup, beyond that it is generic synchro support and it can turn itself into a formula synchron, quondam, accel synchron, coral dragon, life stream dragon etc.

This card is incredible support.

Lightsworn: Welcome back lavalval chain ... oh and you got a few new tricks like recycling raigeki, soul charge etc.

An universally amazing link monster, this one is actually quite impressive and should definitely replace decode if it can be summoned on a consistent basis.

Burning Abyss: Basicly another chapter in the ongoing **** contest between rank 4s and rank 3s (incredibly amazing for its archtype and phantom knights as a hybrid archtype).

Gladiator Beast: Any Gladiator Beast attack suddenly becomes safe, the double fusions for Gladiator Beasts are more playable, beyond that if necessary it can tag out into bestiari + anything (the monster destroyer perhaps ?) into gyzarus.

Qliphort: Sounds cute, it can shut of monsters like timelords, purify the stats of non-tribute summoned qliphorts and rewards pendulum summons. (honestly after the Gladiator Beast one the weakest among these 6 a (machine) generic link 2 with nice synergy with skill drain and lose 1 turn).

that Qli Link seems ok-ish. while it was fair enough that its only immune to the Link monster i really wish that the Link immunity is applied to all Qlis or at very least the linked ones. the negation effect is cute. while i get the last effect is to maintain the flow albeit in more gimmicky (RIP Scout)

Dragacius is awesome. but please enlight me the appeal of the tag out effect?

random hieratic is random. but seems really good

Okaaaay then, so Link Monsters for every Archetype? That's cool, I like that they are doing that, interesting that all of them have the same Link Arrows (except one). Well, let's go over them:

Qliphort Genius, also a Link Monster for any Machine Deck, which is pretty rad, since Geargia, Ancient Gear etc. could use that. Anyway, the card is interesting, good that they made it unaffected, since they like to negate their own effects, negating effects of your face-up cards helps Qliphort gain back their ATK of course, and also more searching for Pendulum Summoning is nice. Should add what Qliphort lost, without overpowering them. Good stuff.

Gladiator Beast Dragacius, hm so it protects Gladiator Beasts when they attack, I suppose that is useful enough for a Gladiator Beast Link Monster to have, I was hoping for a bit more, though it is neat that you can attack with it, then Special Summon monsters, activate their effects, then Link Summon this card again.

Cherubini, Black Angel of the Burning Abyss, also Level 3 support, so nice for things like Phantom Knight, and for other Decks that use Level 3s every now and then. It's interesting that it's a Fairy and not Fiend. So it protects them from being destroyed by card effects, which I guess is alright. Protection that also triggers other effects can be nice too, though the last effect is really amazing, use the Ritual Monster to really boost itself.

Kyrios, Dominion of the Lightsworn, I don't like Lightsworn, so whatever, it is a LINK-3 though, so can't abuse it too much, I guess it's nice that you can use it outside of Lightsworn as well. Anyway, the card seems decent enough I suppose, the fact that you can choose what you send should help them a lot since they are based on luck most of the time. Last effect is quite good too, can re-add itself so that's nice.

Crystron Halifiber, neat, a generic one for any Synchro Deck pretty much, and that Special Summon effect helps out a lot. The last effect is interesting to say the least, Blackwing could take advantage of that for sure as well. Not bad for generic Synchro support really.

Hieratic Seal of the Celestial Spheres, one for Dragons as well, though they kind of have support already for Links, but still good to have. Anyway, being able to Tribute itself as well is nice, even if it's only in the opponent's turn, though 0 ATK so won't stick around for long anyway. The fact that it doens't negate or is Normal Monster only is pretty good too. Not bad.

>Qli is 2 machines

Number42GalaxyTomahawk-MP15-EN-C-1E.png

Well that got enabled 2 months early, and this is potentially better. You still want to end on Skulldoot, but this was kinda important to Tomahawk echieving that, and it actually has an effect while laddering, which is sweet.

The glad is great, but the problem is how the funk are you puitting in the resources to make it in the first place. Dunno why people are mentioning using its tag out to make Gyzarus when you'll be going into Augustal and Darius to make Editor boards, though.

The BA is obv good, like there's not even much to say. It just enables you. Being 500 is kinda weird, but shrug.

Kyrios is strong. It's a bit tough to make it, but when it comes up, it's going to be super good.

The Crystron seems really good, if only in-theme/because Gofu and Pendulum Tuners exist, but not really sure if it will actually see play for that. Still, it's neat.

The hieratic feels insane ngl. I mean yeah, it's slow, but it's also ridiculously easy to summon and rewards you hard. It can even be made with goodstuff, and I'm sure getting literally any dragon is relevant somehow.

EDIT: Given that this Cyrstron is the one in Dragonic Diagram giving power to Master Peace... I'd expect a Steelen retrain and a Ratpier retrain.

Seeing some great stuff here.

No feelings about the Qliphort one; I only know that Qliphort Scout was the first Pendulum to be limited and that they're Pendulums. Kinda wish this was a Pendulum-Link; it would fit with the theme (well, maybe not the card).

Since I don't care about Gladiator Beasts or Burning Abysses, I won't offer my thoughts.

Once again with the Lightsworns! Why do they only send cards to the GY to activate effects?! Show me a Lightsworn that gains ATK from the LIGHT monsters in the GY and I will show you a million different ways to beatdown my opponent with that card. Overall, pretty useless for Lightsworns unless you can get your boss (or a piece of it) in the GY.

Cryston Halifiber is good for Synchros. You can just Synchro off its Link Point and effect, the summon a Synchro Tuner and Accel Synchro. The only problem is that you need a Tuner, so you're basically Synchro-Link Summoning.

Hieratic? OMG. Might tech this in to my Toon deck. Seriously! You can Link, the Special Summon Red-Eyes Toon, then use its effect, then Rank 7 so you're not vulnerable... oh right. The resources it takes. I mean, it's still OK for Linked Zones... oh right, 0 ATK. You know what, we need a true generic Link 2 that isn't useless.

First off, you made a slight mistake. Halifiber doesn't summon a monster from the deck as a cost, or I will burn all my points on the gamble item in the shop.

Holy sheet the BA Link is way better than it ever needed to be. I wasn't expecting them to allow the Predas to be used. If you search IF with the Predas, you can actually ladder from the BA Link into the Lightsworn Link by using it, a BA monster from Graff and a non-Fairy, non-Fiend DARK monster off Instant Fusion (Zombie Warrior is a Level 3, but El-Shaddoll Winda gets a float if you're playing a Shaddoll variant).

Qliphort Einstein

Love that it's completely generic, which only matters because its function is only useful to really Machine Pendulum decks that run level 5 or higher monsters. Effect negation doesn't really matter, but the search is just a naisu plus for the decks that really want to run this. Dinomists like it; just extra advantage for playing normally. Deskbots are okay with it, but they probably like Missus for the extra boost a bit more. And Qliphorts enjoy this because it lets the deck function on pendulum to tribute summoning very easily with a steady stream of value.

I give it 3.5 hats out of 5 hats to keep it real. Feel like the name should've been "Genus" and not this nonsense.

Happy Beast Whatever

It's alright. Nice that they gave the deck with a sub-par maindeck engine a link monster.

I give it 3 hats out of 5 hats to keep it real.

Cherrybini, Blapck Angle of the Burbning Abus

While I was disappointed that the materials weren't "2 Burning Abyss Monsters" or "2 Level/Rank 3 monsters", because rest in peace the dream of using a Dante as a material, this is still just a superb card. The fact that the materials are just 2 level 3 monsters means the deck is super functional with starter techs to open with. Terrortop may be dead, but there's still room for equivalent cards to work here. Otherwise, it just enables the deck and makes it work.

On a side note: I wonder if Flower Cardian Cherry Blossom is going to be the next hot meme with BA's

I give it 4 hats out of 5 hats to keep it real.

Something Something of the Lightsomething

I could not care less about this theme. They, like, send stuff to the grave, right? Discard engine? I hardly read this card. Lmao just make Skulldeat.

I give it 1.5 hats out of 5 hats to keep it real.

Crystron Hollyfifer

Might be my favorite card of this bunch, it's just... it's really good. It's the link monster with synchro materials that everyone and their dog in CC is trying to make! Joking aside, it's just... it's good. Most synchro themes will probably love this, and while the float-into-synchro-tuner effect has to be done on the opponent's turn, there's still many great targets. You could tech Wonder Magician to throw in essentially a semi-Quick Play spell removal! Could be nice.

I give it 4 hats out of 5 hats to keep it real.

Here'satick Seal of the Literal Planets

I like that it can summon any dragon. I like that it's just another thing that Destrudo and Darkwurm can make. It's just real good. I guess in functionality it's pretty similar to the Crystron one, but just in a different way, but overall just a really good tech that I can see getting play in a lot of ways. Nice that it's totally generic.

I give it 4 hats out of 5 hats to keep it real.

They all look decent to good, but my favorite from the bunch is the Qliphort, hands down.

Not only flavor-wise it implies that their role in the DT storyline isn't over, also the semi-generic requirements and effect make it really good. Heck, it can grab Spell Canceller!

Really curious about who this entity is. Since it comes from the slot where the Gem-Knight gem was... I cannot but think this is the incarnation of the darkness that turned Crystal into Cairngorgorn.

Hi everyone! Floodthony Landtano here, here today to review these new cards:

Qliphort Vision Thing

I hear the roar of the big machine, though it's probably just the fact that this card is good. It's a bit reactionary and that hurts the case a little, but it still is pretty nice and the search is a very interesting mechanic that I think will see some interesting interactions. It works decently with Deskbots, and the meme of ABC into Galaxy Soldier is pretty interesting. I don't think it will affect the TCG too much unless ABC ends up doing something, but I will be watching what happens in the OCG because Qlis have basically everything there.

Feeling a Strong 7 on this, tran.......

Gladiator Beast Eldritch

The very definition of good, but not great. It lets the Deck do what it needs to do a little more, nothing more or less. I wonder if we will get a mini form or an upgraded form in order to fit the flavor of most of the other Glad Beasts. I'm trying to find more to say about it but there really isn't anything more.

Feeling a Strong 6 to a very Light 7, tran.......

Lucretia, Reflection of the Burning Abyss

Two worlds and in between we have this phenomenal work. So many things I could say here. The protection is beyond amazing, the fact that it requires ANY 2 Level 3 Monsters is pretty nice, and that effect. I could imagine already the number of shenanigans and effects that begin with this card, and I am beyond enthusiastic for the doors it opens up. I honestly might just jump back into the game solely off of this card alone. I miss playing around with BA when it was at full power, and this is the closet we will have it now. I, myself, couldn't be any happier and welcome it back to the dueling front.

Feeling a Decent to Strong 9, tran.....

Mother Russia, Dominion of the Lightsworn

This thing I feel is going to be extremely powerful. Someday, someday, someday. For now, the requirement is a bit lengthy. I feel like Lightsworn won't have too hard of a time with it tho. Wulf and Felis being the same type isn't an issue when the Clowns give you another Type. Plus, Raiden is a Warrior. Really, the more I think about it, the more I feel like this isn't going to be as hard as it seems. It has a high ceiling, but for now we will see which way the wind blows. I see it going off potentially in other Decks too, it basically is a Lavalval Chain, better I would say actually. The requirement is the only thing holding it back realistically.

Feeling a Strong 7 on this one, tran......

Crystron Corrosion

Hello Synchrons! Shudders. The number of doors this thing opens is just...... wow. I don't even think Crystrons will make the best use of this. I'm pretty sure if I thought about it long enough, I could think of many insane combos this could start in many different Decks. Gofu is an interesting start, as is Junk Synchron and Pendulum Summoning. I'm not saying it is outright broken, it's not, but it is quite an enabler. I feel like this is what those Synchro Decks with the crazy Quasar nonsense were looking for. In that sense, I welcome this card with open arms and look forward to seeing the many hilarious videos this will ensue and the many fun Decks that will reinvigorate or inspire. This is the sort of card I live for

Feeling a Light to Decent 8, tran.....

Heratic Seal of the Flood

......And I just got done talking about the doors the Cryston Link opened up but this is another one. It lets you tribute itself AND THEN you get any Dragon from the Deck. Even if the ATK becomes 0, there are going to be some fantastic targets. I do really wish it did something on your turn, but it does a lot for what it is. I am just really glad Hieratics didn't lose out on this. That being said, I think this might see play best in everything EXCEPT Hieratics since what Hieratics need is something to open up their own plays, which were mostly ruined through Links making Ultimaya a pathetic card. This is a start, but I don't think it is enough for them as much as this helps other Decks. As a standalone card though, this is quite good and possibly scary.

Feeling a Decent 8 on this one, tran......

Sition! Did you love em? Did you hate em? What would you rate em?

I believe that it's based on this more than the modern word genius.
