This is a continuation of the ritual concept for railways that I started a long time ago. I'd like to hear your thoughts

Master of the Trains

EARTH - Level 10 - Machine/Ritual/Effect - 2900 ATK / 2500 DEF

Must first be Ritual Summoned. You can Ritual Summon this card with any "Railyard" Ritual Spell.

You can discard this card; add 1 Level 10 Machine monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Master of Trains".

Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 EARTH level 10 Machine monster from your hand or GY, except “Master of Trains”.

Master of Planes

WIND - Level 10 - Machine/Ritual/Effect - 2800 ATK / 2500 DEF

( This card is always treated as an EARTH monster )

Must first be Ritual Summoned. You can Ritual Summon this card with any "Railyard" Ritual Spell.

You can discard this card; Target 1 Level 10 Machine monster in your GY except “Master of Planes”, add that target to the hand.

Once per turn: You can Target 1 EARTH level 10 Machine monster in your GY except “Master of Planes”; add that Target to your hand

Master of Ships

Water - Level 10 - Machine/Ritual/Effect - 2900 ATK / 2400 DEF

( This card is always treated as an EARTH monster )

Must first be Ritual Summoned. You can Ritual Summon this card with any “Railyard” Ritual Spell.

You can discard this card; Target 1 Level 10 Machine monster in your GY except “Master of Ships”, special summon that monster.

Once per turn: You can Target 1 EARTH level 10 Machine monster in your GY except “Master of Ships”; place that Target on top of your deck.

Railyard Summon

Spell - Ritual

This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Master" Ritual Monster from your hand or GY. You must also Tribute a monster from your hand or field, or banish a Machine monster from your GY, whose Level/Rank equals or exceeds the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon.

During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY, except the turn it was sent there; Special Summon 1 EARTH Level 10 Machine monster from your hand or GY. You can only activate each effect of "Railyard Summon" once per turn.

Railyard Commanding

Spell - Ritual

This card can be used to Ritual Summon any “Master” Ritual Monster from your GY. You must also Tribute a monster from your hand or field, or send 1 monster with a rank from your extra deck to your GY, whose level/rank equals the level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon.

During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY, except the turn it was sent there; Target up to 5 Level/rank 10 or higher monsters in your GY ( min. 3 ). Shuffle those targets into the deck, then draw 2 cards. You can only activate each effect of “Railyard Commanding” once per turn.

Railyard Switching

Spell - Normal

Activate by shuffling 1 Level/rank 10 Monster from your GY into your deck. Special Summon 1 Level 10 Earth Machine Monster from your GY in defense position. You can only special summon Machine type monsters during the turn you activate this effect. You can only activate 1 “Railyard Switching” per turn.

Master of the Trains

I see you're going for the Nekroz aproach. I personally would make its discard effect only search level 10 EARTH Machine-type monsters and not just any level 10 Machine-type monster as it fits the archetype better IMO unless you wanna search Jizukiru that bad. Another small problem with the card as it is now is that even if you would play a non-ritual trains deck, you would still run 3 of this, just for its ability to search Night Express. So maybe give it some kind of clause, drawback or cost.

Master of Planes

I like this dude, a pretty good discard effect and if it's ritualed it can get its tribute back. Though, again, maybe make it only level 10 EARTH Machine-type monsters.

Master of Ships

Would be used for its discard effect, would never, ever, ever be summoned. Its discard is just a better Special Schedule, so there is nothing wrong with that other than that it might be just a little too good. But I see no reason to ever ritual summon this.

Railyard Summon

Nice ritual card. I'll use this in my Dark Master - Zorc turbo deck. (that's a joke, you forgot to give the effect the "except "Dark Master - Zorc"" it needs)

Railyard Commanding

No

Just no

Alright, here's what's wrong: first, no cost to ritual except this card because you can send from Extra Deck, this would be no problem if it didn't have a GY effect. But it does. And not only does it have a grave effect, it has a grave effect that is OP af. You send 3 trains back to deck, which as a train player you know is a good thing in trains, and then you draw, not 1 which would have been a cool way to get back your lost advantage, but 2! cards. This is insane as your Rituals are already not bad at recycling. That makes this effect basicly a +2 as there is no advantage lost in the ritual summon except this card (-1), your ritual monster then gets you back that advantage (you are now even in card advantage), and then you draw 2 cards (+2) and you get to recycle your Night Express Knights.

Railyard Switching

Good effect. Even in non-ritual Railway.

Thanks for the feedback!

I kept some of the effects to only machines in order for you to get back and search Malefic Cyber End Dragon, but if it is abusable in some way to get searches unintendedly, it could be changed to only earth machines

originally got the idea for Commanding off of Kaleidoscope, I figured it would be a more fair option given that the monsters you could send from the extra deck have to be rank 10, and no rank 10s get any effect when sent to the graveyard, like herald of the arc light does, but it might be too powerful, given how rituals work. The shuffle back effect was taken from a similar effect I designed for a ritual spell a while back, which shuffled back 4 to draw 1 rather than 3-5 to draw 2. That might be better for the card's fairness overall

No, it isn't abusable at all, as you said the only really useful target would be Malefic Cyber End Dragon and maybe the level 10 Machine-type Kaiju, but not abusable. I guess it's more fun to play with this way, and it opens up to more skillfull play, I just thought it might not really "fit" the archetype.

You should really exclude Dark Master - Zorc though. Not that anyone would ever use it for that. It just makes no sence.

Ah, I see what you mean now, fitting the theme of the archetype, that is true

for the Dark Master - Zorc, I think the best way to do that would be to have it be "This card can be used to Ritual Summon any Machine type "Master" Ritual Monster from your hand or GY" so that it not only covers the Zorc, but also covers most other "Master" ritual monsters that aren't a part of railway
