NECRO Set(By Yairnet)

I don't know if you read the comments Ninjask and I gave you in the other thread, but yeah, what is the purpose of these existing? (That, and you realize that posting 100+ cards at once is not going to get people to critique these).

But...I'll just review the Kanto ones for now, since I don't have time to review all 170 (and really, no one has that time).

=====

Caterpie/Weedle

These two are literally copy/paste of each other, save for the targets they can hit. While the effects are generally okay, Caterpie has much less targets to hit nowadays except maybe Subterror/Dolls and whatever. Weedle gets everything else (is this supposed to imply how much Butterfree got shafted compared to Beedrill lately?)

Pidgey

Uh, Tornado Dragon exists for a reason, you know. But I guess it's a Rank 3 version for those Decks; not like I see BAs or whatever else using it with all their toys that do the same thing.

Rattata

Card is fine, but all it does is just weaken stuff (and removal exists). Then again, most Rank 2 decks rather have something that goes on the offensive (i.e. Centaurea / Number 45, etc) instead of this being passive.

Spearow

Xyz Summoning is far less common nowadays due to Links, especially with Rank 5+ stuff. I mean, you can still hit Trains and BE among others, but yeah.

Ekans

Outside Monarchs, Red-Eyes and some other stuff, this isn't doing much (again, factor in Xyz and Link format). Also, because it's just a power booster on the offensive and still vulnerable to removal. Defensively, you're screwed over.

Sandshrew

Trap Stun exists and doesn't take up a slot in an already tight ED.

Nidoran Female

There's a reason why Pot of Greed got banned, and Desires has that hard OPT and "banish 10" cost (even if it doesn't matter in 60 card Turbo nowadays). You need to make this a hard OPT, because right now, it's just "detach 2, draw 4 cards" (and then for BAs, proceed to trigger stuff)

Nidoran Male

This one is more fair, but this also enables potential loop combos (trigger effect when it hits the GY, then retrieve later). I think the Night Assailant thing [and aforementioned BAs] might be mentionable in this case, but yeah. You should probably add a limiter on the retrieval effect, but I'll need to review other stuff.

Vulpix

Would've been really funny if this were used against Zoos to burn their mats and stuff, but that's just being overly optimistic. But yeah, no one really runs Level 3 FIRE monsters nowadays, and even if they did, they have better toys to be making that aren't reliant on a specific monster type existing.

Oddish

LP gain is nice, but as noted earlier, Rank 2 has better stuff to be doing. Paleos got their own bosses, Centaurea, Treatoad among other things, and Raccoons don't want this either. (To be fair, those two are the only R2 decks I can think of that are technically viable, and no, Dark Mist's deck isn't up to par yet)

Paras

Not that great, considering any EARTH deck that has the resources to Rank 3 and its effect alone. The stats aren't impressive either. You really could just leave it as a generic, and still wouldn't do much.

Venonat

BA don't want this, because it forces them to blow up and only thing it does is allow direct attacks. This much is fine, but nowadays, you're limited in what this can be used in (and if they want to use a slot).

Diglett

Effect is fine, but really doesn't warrant requiring 3 materials to make it. Just drop it to 2.

Meowth

The burn effect is kinda on the meh end (well, damage is fine for a Rank 3, but then the cost just to do it sucks). Note that I can just play Ookazi and go for 800 burn with only 1 card; not ditch 2 (1 mat from this card and a S/T here) for less.

Growlithe

OK...you just gave players a reason to replace Cowboy. In essence, not reliant on battle position and burns slightly better. I would advise lowering the burn so it doesn't outclass him (even if Cowboy does have better defenses and another effect).

Poliwag

You may want to be careful about its summon capacities, as Frogs are still a thing iirc (see Treatoad) and obviously adding more Link fodder. Paleos can't really do much considering their Traps are not monsters in the GY, and bosses are Xyz (and don't have Levels).

Idea is fine, but be aware of this.

Bellsprout

Predaplants have better things to do than make this. But in all seriousness, Plant decks don't have space for a 3 mat R3 that only provides destruction protection for the turn. It'd be appreciated, but other forms of removal exist (and in the early game, they want stuff that aids their plays offensively). You can just make it a generic 2-mat Rank 3.

Geodude

Links don't care about this card's position changing effect, but otherwise the rest of it is fine. Still too much on the passive end, but suppose it works.

Ponyta

Uh yeah, I do have a bit of concern about this card's potential to hit 5500 - 9500 off the bat (for its detaches). Yeah, it'll become target fodder afterwards, but early on, this thing can just OTK on its own (or come close to it). Not sure if Fists want this as a finisher (think not), Boxers already got enough toys to do what they want and Pyro decks aren't a thing right now.

Farfetch'd

It's alright, though I will assume you know that timing and activation conditions need to be correct (and required S/T zone to be open).

Doduo

Outclassing Castel at this point (2 materials to bounce something back on your turn only, and hard OPT). This one is essentially double stun. Yes, it is weaker than Castel by a few points, but the main selling point for Castel is his bouncing capacities (and card is still good). Make this a hard OPT and/or limit when you can use this.

=====

I am well aware this is Casual Cards and that the meta shouldn't be talked about [presumably because you're doing it by flavor], but I have brought several of them [albeit a few are out of style at the moment] up as comparative cards to stuff you have made. You do need to be aware that certain cards exist and are limited in their capacities for a reason.

(i.e. Nidoran Female is a literal Pot of Greed on legs, Growlithe is slightly outclassing Cowboy [which is usually used for game-end burn] and Doduo straight up beats a card that's already good on its own at 1)

=====

I may return to finish the rest at a later time.

You're the only one who replied to my posts. As for the effects, most of them are improvised, regardless of the Pokemon's real capabilities.

And one more thing, why you locked my NEXUS Set topic (https://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/366891-nexus-setby-yairnet/)

Technically speaking, the necrobump policy was broken (since you didn't update that particular thread with anything, you were only permitted two weeks to bump it, and you were a couple weeks over.)

But considering this is turning out like Hulkty's stuff, if you need to link to other sets that are related, then fine. I will unlock it this time, but if the necro policy is broken again, it will be locked again (and you will have to remake it).
