Well, it appears you have stumbled upon my Time Twister Machine; I knew if I left the door open some vermin would end up scurrying in eventually. Hmm. But if you think getting tickets from me will be easy like the others, then you are sorely mistaken. This "game" if you will is nothing more than a means to an end for me, and you are my means. Lying scattered across time are ten Crystals, though I have already recovered one of them myself. The other nine are unaccounted for, which is where you come in, my little guinea pigs.

Here you will find riddles that specify a certain place at a famous historical point in time; these places are where the time-displaced Crystals currently reside, and where you will go in order to retrieve them. And while I could easily acquire them myself, it feels only fitting for a bunch of grunts to do the grunt work. So, since I do not enjoy you putting your grubby hands all over my machine for longer than they need to be, here are the rules of the "game".

  • Once per day you are entitled to guess 1 riddle, stating the place and the year the event happened for that particular riddle. If you are correct, you get a Crystal. If not, well... I suppose I must be nice, so you get 1 ticket, but only 1. If you feel like being smart, you can also say what happened there as well, and why it is famous.
  • You may either place your guesses here, or through a private message instead.
  • You must wait exactly 24 hours before you can guess again.
  • To be eligible to guess, you must have a DuelingBook account that you must apply with upon your first guess in this "game".
  • If your guess is correct and you get a Crystal, you can sell it to me for 10 tickets. Otherwise, you can hold onto it.
  • Just before the end of the Masquerade, for each Crystal you possess you will immediately sell it/them to me for 30 tickets each.
  • I will also add that once a riddle is correctly answered, no one else will be able to answer it, as the Crystal tied to the riddle has already been collected. I'm surprised that I feel the need to outright explain this, but some people are clearly incapable of basically logic, so here it is.

Now then, it may seem like it will be easy to hold onto a Crystal, but that is where you are highly mistaken, as my "game" has a second part to it. As just because you have a Crystal does not mean you will be able to hold onto it, which is where DuelingBook comes in. Having a Crystal will paint a target on your back, as other people can challenge you for the right to hold onto a Crystal; a challenge you MUST accept at the earliest possible time you are able to duel. However, to make it fair, here are some conditions for the challenge.

  • You must be able to wager either a Crystal and/or 15 tickets to challenge someone else for their Crystal, and can multiply that wager by how many Crystals you wish to try and win from someone else.
  • If someone has 2 or more Crystals and you have no Crystals, you do not have to wager anything, but you cannot take more than 1 Crystal should you win.
  • You can only challenge someone for their Crystal(s) once per day.
  • To prove you have won a Crystal(s), you and the loser must post here stating who won and how many Crystals changed hands, so I may keep track of them.
  • Ah yes, before I forget, you may also challenge me without wager in order to perhaps take my Crystal from me should you have none; however, I am not as easy to beat as you might think I am. However, I do not count as a Monster Duelist, and as such you receive no reward for beating me beyond my Crystal.
  • If I possess all 10 Crystals, you peons lose and no more duels will take place.
  • Duels will use the most recent TCG ban list and rules, but all cards available on DuelingBook are available for use.
  • You can duel in either single duels, or match duels. The challenger may decide the format.

Now without further wait, here are the riddles so we may begin our "game".

[spoiler=Riddles]

[spoiler=Riddle 1]

Red and white, two houses in sight,
Countless lives lost for the royal right.
Lying clear among the field of thorn,
The prize lies where the new king was born.
On the final day you'll know its call,
For you'll find the Crystal where the dick did fall.

[spoiler=Riddle 2]
A kingdom spited, the colonies united,
Independence a signing hath provided.
Leaders of freedom signed their name,
Subliming this hall with endless fame.
You'll find the Crystal where a country was born,
Though it became a land where racism is the norm.

[spoiler=Riddle 3]
The voices of God led her well,
Though she was condemned a witch of hell.
You'll find piety burning here,
With the death of the one held so dear.
You'll find the Crystal after a half year's turn,
Where the champion of arc did burn.

[spoiler=Riddle 4]
A hippy horde gathered here,
To give life to freedom's cheer.
Grooviness stood within their hearts,
Though some may be ashamed of their pasts.
You'll find the Crystal among freedom sublime,
On the third day of musical time.

[spoiler=Riddle 5]
Lives of yellow and green,
What was seen cannot be unseen.
Cut down like stalks before the scythe,
A foolish plan cut through with a knife.
You'll find the Crystal where the ANZACs fell,
The name alone is an excellent tell.

[spoiler=Riddle 6]
The lady with the enigmatic smile,
A beauty that none could defile.
Upon this year she was hung upon the wall,
Of the most famous gallery of all.
You'll find the Crystal at her fame's birth,
To begin a lifetime of endless worth.

[spoiler=Riddle 7]
The greatest daimyō the world has known,
Now a man who is overthrown.
The temple he resides burns to ashes,
His shooting star of hope now crashes.
You'll find the Crystal where a dynasty ended,
A man's hopes and dreams so cruelly rended.

[spoiler=Riddle 8]
Crests of white, oh sublime sight,
It fills all who see it with delight.
Opened for a queen,
It's a sight to be seen.
You'll find the Crystal when this house of song,
First opened its doors for all to come along.

[spoiler=Riddle 9]
A fiery beard uncompromising,
He failed in his uprising.
He lost his breath, he lost his lunch,
Taken by horse to make a four-piece bunch.
You'll find the Crystal where independence failed,
Beyond their reach as the tartans wailed.

Riddle 1

Where? Bosworth Field, at the foot of Ambion Hill in England.

When? 1485

Why is it famous? For being the site of the battle where Richard the Third was killed and the House of York defeated by Henry Tudor (later known as Henry the Seventh) and the House of Lancaster, thus ending the War of the Roses.

You can have the Crystal in exchange for 10 tickets now, Dr. Tropy.

EDIT: Dueling Book name is DinoRibbit, in case I decide to keep a Crystal later, or duel for one.

*Chuckles* You are incredibly presumptuous... but with good cause. You are indeed correct, and have found the Crystal where the War of the Roses ended. You may have your 10 tickets, and a well done from me. I look forward to seeing if you can do more as my little Crystal monkey.

Riddle 6:

Florence, Italy

1517

DB is XOXOnotreally

Incorrect, so you get 1 ticket's incentive.

Riddle 2:

Where? Independence Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America

When? 1776

Why is it famous? Location and date of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.

Again, have the Crystal in exchange for 10 tickets, assuming I am correct with my solution to the riddle.

You are indeed correct, and have earned your 10 tickets for retrieving the Crystal. Marvelous work I must say; you've already proven yourself far superior to all the circus reject "doctor" Cortex has produced in his entire lifetime.

When: 1969

Why is it famous: The original Woodstock Festival took place for three days from August 15th to August 17th.

DuelingBook: Strikem4n

Assuming my answer is correct, enjoy your crystal Doctor N. Tropy.

I shall, though I hope the scent of weed wasn't too much for you as you collected the Crystal for these tickets.

Riddle 9

Where? Smithfield, London, England

When? 1305

Why is it famous? Site and year of the execution of William Wallace.

If I am right you can have the crystal for 10 tickets.

Much obliged, and enjoy your tickets.

Riddle 5

When: April 25th, 1915 to January 9th, 1916

Where: Gallipoli Peninsula, Sanjak of Gelibolu, Adrianople Vilayet, Ottoman Empire

Why is it famous: The failed invasion of Gallipoli by the Allied Forces during WWI. April 25th is remembered as ANZAC Day.

Note: I'm not that certain about this given the actual campaign started February 17th, 1915, but the invasion did start on April 25th, so I'm sticking with that.
