Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory

Not that I'm complaining, but what the heck is Devil Survivor 2 protag doing in Digimon?

Because it's fanart, and not the official box art for the game. I'm gonna assume the OP was not aware of this and thought it was legitimate. Nice catch, though!

As far as the game itself, I'm pretty stoked for this as well, as Cyber Sleuth was quite the fun, unexpected ride. I went into Cyber Sleuth, having not seen or cared about Digimon for nearly a decade, so my expectations were low... but man, I've logged in way more hours than I thought I would into that game! It was easy to play and after discovering the best methods to farming EXP, it became a breeze to get the Digimon I wanted and how I wanted. With that being said, I'm anticipating this game to be a decent successor to the franchise and hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

My expectations:

• More Digimon! I was bummed to not be able to get Blast Mode Beelzemon (didn't buy Cyber Sleuth until almost a year after release) so in addition to him being added to the base game, I'm hoping there are a lot more Digimon added that weren't around for the first installment.

• Similar game mechanics, if not virtually the same! The game mechanics were fun and easy to understand, so I don't have many complaints about it. I think Cyber Sleuth was meant to be more a casual player's delight with Next Order being a more hardcore alternative, so hopefully they keep it that way. If the game mechanics were to change entirely, assuming for the better, there would be no complaints there, and I wouldn't even mind if the game became just a tad bit more difficult and intricate for all the competitive players (as long as it doesn't go overboard >_>).

• New, amazing story! I never once touched the multiplayer mode in Cyber Sleuth, since I was having too much fun trying to hunt down all the Digimons (just like i would in Pokemon). For that reason, I prefer the story to be kickass and hopefully a main focus of the developer team. Cyber Sleuth story wasn't that impressive, but it still set up a world that could be expanded upon in following installments. Since I'll probably be spending all my time in single player mode, I'd at least want a decent story to make the Digimon-capturing mania more bearable in the long run.

There's a character who resembles that protagonist, but it looks like they literally used the DS2 protagonist instead. Suzuhito Yasuda did the design for both games.

I should probably play the first Cyber Sleuth sometime.

[spoiler Well]

Be prepared to have your taste buds altered forever, with the weird mixtures of coffee you're gonna have.

BTW, you gut the special pre-order BlackAgumon and BlackGabumon? I sure as heck DIDN'T. Also be sure to get rest, you'll need it for the medal hunt, not to mention the battle with Lucemon Chaos mode.
