To be honest I had thought it might be good to have section specific awards.

This is geared mostly to CC and RP sections because

1. There are a large group who only go to one of those sections

2. Not many people go into those sections who aren't regulars

Pretty sure that's how it was before. That's how I got my only award from the YCMAs. XD

Think it was the case back then IIRC, but that was six years ago or something (last time I was here and the awards happened).

You'd need to talk to Yui or Zai about if the quality in RP is worthy enough of getting an award here (or if the memberbase in there would like it). You're expressing support for it, but what about the rest of you who frequent the area?

As for CC, I have been planning out some other ways to get new blood in my section (and/or some best card maker thing). Still going through ideas based on the activity level and how users in general act in there. If it counts for anything, that contest at present is supposed to do the former (because most of the members who go in there nowadays are regulars).

 

Latter would PROBABLY be a card/set of the period of something (not doing it every week, because you guys know I have academics to contend with offline and can't be doing this weekly). There are some ideas, but I'll float them later in the CC update thread when I flesh them out a bit. 

 

To be fair, quality in CC is hit/miss. It can be design in general (everyone has a different tolerance level for certain designs/playstyles, so what may be fine for one user will not for another) or how well you can review / take reviews and adjust accordingly. (I'll lay off further comments on this, because this is discussing the awards and not giving an analysis on users.)

Other sections like Showcase could use it, but no one's really designed graphics for a while. Most nowadays is either some rendering things (or whatever shop orders I get) or you guys spriting.
