Monster-Specfic Summoning Cards, awaaaaaaay

[spoiler=Card A]
Gate Guardian Release

Quick-Play Spell Card

Discard 1 card; Special Summon from your hand or Deck, 1 "Sanga of the Thunder" or 1 "jin" monster. You can banish this card from your GY and 1 each of "Sanga of the Thunder", "Kazejin" and "Suijin" from your field or GY; Special Summon 1 "Gate Guardian" from your hand or Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions, and if you do, it gains these effects.

• Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can return 1 banished Level 7 monster to the GY; until the End Phase, the monster(s) your opponent controls with the highest ATK cannot attack, also it has its effects negated.

• Once per tunr, before resolving a Spell/Trap or monster effect that would destroy or banish this card (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon 1 "Dark Guardian Token" (Warrior/DARK/Level 12/ATK 3800/DEF 3800).

[spoiler=Card B]

Dark Genesis Beast

DARK/Level 8/Fiend/Effect

You can pay LP so that you only have 100 left; Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can banish this card you control, plus 3 Fiend monsters, 3 Continuous Spell Cards and 3 Continuous Trap Cards from your hand, field and/or Graveyard (each with a different name); Special Summon 1 "Armityle the Chaos Phantom" from your Extra Deck, ignoring it's Summoning conditions. The Special Summon of "Armityle the Chaos Phantom" using this card cannot be negated, also it's ATK is halved during your turn only.

[2500/2500]

Card A is ridiculous. Not only does it summons the 3 "Jin" monsters, but it also summons Bujins and Jinzo. The card pool is waay too much considering its cost is just discarding a card. Otherwise, the SS effect of Gate Guardian is good. The effects it grants it are ok. Negating the effects of the monster with the highest ATK and preventing it from attacking just won't do in 2017, even in casual matches. I also would've liked if it was able to protect itself instead letting itself get destroyed and giving its owner a beatstick Token. But at least it fits with the flavour of the other "Jins" by having something to do with the ATK, so I guess it's not all bad, but the first SS effect is what makes it unhealthy because of the amount of monsters it can SS.

Card B's SS effect is so bad, tbh. Paying all but 100 of your LP puts you at a ridiculously dangerous position, considering that Armytile has 0 ATK during your opponent's turn, it has no protection against card effects, and this card makes its ATK 5000 only, lessening the chances of you OTKing the opponent that turn. And its SS effect requires so much setup, it's just not worth it at all. Even with a card like That Grass Looks Greener (which is Limited in the TCG), it's hard to setup because they need to be cards with different names. Overall, too much setup and effort for too little of a reward.

I don't like either card, so I vote Card C.

For Card A IMO, the card pool is not much that of an issue. What, we can summon any Jinzo monster we want? Coolio. Bujin are a bit more of a problem, but they still aren't close to meta. In fact, this is a neat addition to them. There is the issue of no HOPT, GY fuel and Quick-Play, but again, Bujin aren't good. The only other targets are the Djinn, Rai-Jin, and some Blackwing, so not really much to worry about at all. That's not to say that the "jin" choice was a good design decisions (it's not) but it isn't broken. The fact that none of the rest of the cards effects are this generic might hurt it being run in the other decks, but I still see most of its plays being in said Bujin deck. Loses marks for not giving Gate Guardian protection, WHICH IT NEEDS, but considering it grants you a beaststick which basically does the same thing AND a flavourful effect that restocks your GY, not such a bad card.

Card B is just bad, as Abdelrahmen said. Hooray, I have a 5k beatstick which only lasts until the end of my turn, have 100 LP AND HAVE GONE -9. At least it lets you banish from the GY, but even so, if you've built up a deck that can play this card, the least you can do is allow the player to have their 10K attacking with no protection. It wouldn't make it much more consistent than many other obscure OTKs, and it would still be fun to play as a one-off option. I appreciate the idea, as a latch ditch effort to summon Armityle, but it doesn't grant you a bit enough effort (that and you can technically not Summon another one as you cannot pay LP until you have 100 left when you only have 100 left).

Card A is playable,on the other hand, despite its flaws. Vote to Card A.

Card A

Because of Japanese naming stuff (Kazejin and Suijin are named "Hyuuga" and "Suuga", respectively in Japanese), yeah, this may have some unintended interactions and stuff [bujins don't want this, and everything else is meh]. Sanga is fine; other two may have issues. But yeah, I have a slight concern about this card's lack of OPT and potential to summon the pieces freely (even if they generally suck now). Foolish Burial Goods and potential Lawnmowing much? Rest of the effects are fine, considering Gate Guardian sucks, but yeah.

Card B

Yeah, not enough payout to make up for the effort needed to summon this, and Armityle still sucks (this just compounds it). Yeah, it goes to 5000 which is still fine, but the requirements are literally impossible to bring out (unless you Lawnmower or some other type of mill).

Remember Chazz's new meme boss? This card's summon conditions for Armityle are about the same, if not more difficult than it nowadays; in terms of comparative effort and all.

=====

I have to vote C here as well.

Not much time left here on this contest, so I'm just gonna go ahead and say that I'm content with the reviews and the current vote standings (though I'm not sure if the standings are in favor of a tie or Card A). Thanks to everyone for giving this some critique, and ggwp'd D'Sceptyr!
