Machine Type Link Monster ( Power Bond Searcher )

Just thought of this in relation to ancient gears and cyber dragons. The major thing that keeps the archetypes back ( or at least one of them ) is that they cannot search the best fusion spell cards. This might remedy that. Please tell me your thoughts.

Effect: You take no battle damage from attacks involving this card. If this card would be destroyed by battle or card effects, you can banish 1 machine type monster from your GY instead. Once per turn, you can discard machine type monster, and if you do, add 1 "Power Bond" or "Overload Fusion" from your deck or GY to your hand, then return this card to the extra deck. You can only use this effect of "Powerhouse Energy Generator" once per turn.
