Seven Sins (Seven Deadly Sins Anime) Archetype (LEGACY)

Here are the monster cards that I've created based on the anime Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) called the

Seven Sins archetype

They revolve around summoning powerful boss monsters (the Seven Sins) easily if one of their members are on the field. Each have their own multitude of effects that make them overpowered, but they are held back by their strict archetypal use, high levels to summon easily, slowness, and their condition to be returned to the hand at the end of the turn they were Special Summoned. Disruption of effects among other things may be a problem, but I want some ideas for these :) Their effects and combos reflect their power, ability, and typical interaction in the anime, which made this project really fun to work on.

  • Hawk is a Kaiju-type of gimmick that can easily use compatible Fusion materials from your opponent to summon decent fusions.
  • Chastiefol Form cards will be added as a mixture of Continuous Spell and Traps (and monster) that can banish for recycling resources and effects.
  • Every high level Seven Sins monster can be Normal Summoned without Tribute if there is already a Seven Sins monster on the field, except for Escanor, Sunlight Lion's Pride of the Seven Sins.
  • Almost every "Seven Sins" monster holds the condition: "During the End Phase of the turn this card was Special Summoned, return it to your hand. During the Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this banished card to your side of the field." And you can only control 1 "Seven Sins" type on the field at a time.
  • I've yet to upload the Spell and Trap cards and plan to continue expanding (maybe other card types too) if I have more good ideas and maybe be able to incorporate it into the VRAINs Master Rule 4 with Link Monsters.

I'm willing to take suggestions on how to make this deck more balanced and viable as well as learning how to format the cards and the forum better

DARK Level 10 Warrior/Effect

ATK/4200 DEF/2100

If you control a "Seven Sins" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. When this card is Normal Summoned, banish up to 2 cards on the field. The Battle Damage this card inflicts to your opponent's Life Points is halved. When this card attacks, switch it to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. When a "Seven Sins" monster is targeted for attack, you can change the attack target to this card. When this card is removed from the field, Special Summon it during your Standby Phase and destroy 1 card on your side of the field. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Special Summoned, return it to your hand. During the Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this banished card to your side of the field. You can only control 1 "Meliodas, Dragon's Wrath of the Seven Sins".

LIGHT Level 3 Beast/Effect

When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, you can add one "Seven Sins" monster from your Deck to your hand. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: Activate 1 of these effects. 
• You can add "Hawk, Leftover's Captain of the Seven Sins" from your Deck to your hand.
• You can Special Summon "Hawk, Leftover's Captain of the Seven Sins" from your hand.

EARTH Level 7 Warrior/Effect

ATK/2800 DEF/2600

If you control a "Seven Sins" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. Once per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects, but this card cannot declare an attack this turn:
• You can target 1 other monster you control; Special Summon 1 "Creation Golem" token (Rock-Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK ????/DEF ????), its ATK and DEF is equal to that target's original ATK and DEF and cannot attack directly.  
• During your Main Phase 1, you can Tribute 2 "Creation Golem" tokens to destroy all of your opponent's monsters or destroy up to 3 Spell and Trap Cards. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated.
​Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can Tribute 1 "Creation Golem" token, then target 1 monster you control; it gains 1000 ATK until the next Standby Phase. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Special Summoned, return it to your hand. During the Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this banished card to your side of the field. You can only control 1 "Diane, Serpent's Envy of the Seven Sins".

FIRE Level 6 Warrior/Effect

ATK/2400 DEF/1800

If you control a "Seven Sins" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. When this card is Normal Summoned, equip it with any number of Equip Cards on the field. If any of those Equip Cards is now equipped to an incorrect target, destroy that Equip Card. This card cannot be destroyed by battle, Spell and Trap Cards, or by monster effects with Ranks and Levels equal to or lower than this card's level. A monster that battles this card loses 1000 ATK, while this card gains 500 ATK after damage calculation. When a monster that was attacked by this card is removed from the field, this card's ATK returns to its original ATK. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Special Summoned, return it to your hand. During the Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this banished card to your side of the field. You can only control 1 "Ban, Fox's Greed of the Seven Sins".

WIND Level 5 Spellcaster/Effect

ATK/1500 DEF/1500

If you control a "Seven Sins" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. When this card is summoned, add 1 "Chastiefol" card from your Deck to your hand. You can activate each of these effects once per turn: 
• Banish 1 "Chastiefol" card from your Graveyard, then target 1 "Seven Sins" monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand. 
• When this card is targeted for attack or by a card effect, shuffle all 'Chastiefol' cards on the field back to the owner's Deck, negate the attack or effect, then Special Summon 'Chastiefol Form Two: Guardian' from your Deck (this is a Quick Effect). 
During the End Phase of the turn this card was Special Summoned, return it to your hand. During the Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this banished card to your side of the field. You can only control 1 "King, Grizzly's Sloth of the Seven Sins".

EARTH Level 6 Beast/Effect
ATK/1500 DEF/3000
Your opponent cannot target other face-up monsters for attacks or with card effects. Once per turn, you can shuffle this card from your hand or field back to your Deck to draw a card. When this card is removed from the field, activate or Set 1 'Chastiefol' Spell or Trap Card from your Deck. During the next Standby Phase after this card was banished, Special Summon it in Defense Position and halve its DEF.

WATER Level 7 Spellcaster/Effect

If you control a "Seven Sins" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. When your opponent declares an attack on a "Seven Sins" monster, you can banish this card from your hand to negate the attack and end the Battle Phase. During each of your Standby Phases, you can look at your opponent's Set cards. Your opponent cannot activate those set cards in response to this effect's activation. Once per turn, you can pay 700 Life Points to activate 1 of these effects: 
• Target 1 monster on your opponent controls; that monster cannot attack and its effects are negated until your opponent's End Phase. 
• Negate the effects of all face-up cards currently on the field, except this card until the End Phase. 
• Take control of an opponent's monster with a Level less than this card until the End Phase. Only that monster can attack the turn you activate this effect. 
During the End Phase of the turn this card was Special Summoned, return it to your Deck. During the Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this banished card to your side of the field. You can only control 1 "Gowther, Goat's Lust of the Seven Sins".

If you control a "Seven Sins" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand, that specifically lists "Seven Sins" in its text. Once per turn, you can pay 1000 Life Points to add a Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. During either player's turn, you can return a "Seven Sins" monster from the field to your hand, then Special Summon 1 other "Seven Sins" monster from your hand. You can only activate this effect of "Merlin, Boar's Gluttony of the Seven Sins" once per turn. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Special Summoned, return it to your hand. During the Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this banished card to your side of the field. You can only control 1 "Merlin, Boar's Gluttony of the Seven Sins".

LIGHT Level 9 Warrior/Effect

When this card is returned to your hand, you can Special Summon 'Escanor, Sunlight Lion's Pride of the Seven Sins' from your hand or Deck during the next Standby Phase. During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated (except during the Damage Step), you can return this card to your hand. When this card would be destroyed by battle, you can reduce this card's ATK by 500 instead. When this card with 0 ATK is attacked, destroy this card. When 'Merlin, Boar's Gluttony of the Seven Sins' is summoned to your side of the field, you can return this card to your hand to Special Summon 'Escanor, Sunlight Lion's Pride of the Seven Sins' from your hand. During this turn, its effects are negated and it is unaffected by card effects. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Special Summoned, return it to your hand. During the Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this banished card to your side of the field. You can only control 1 "Escanor, Moonlight Lion's Pride of the Seven Sins".

LIGHT Level 9 Warrior/Effect

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Once per turn, you can pay 1000 Life Points to destroy all cards on your opponent's side of the field, your other monsters cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. When 'Merlin, Boar's Gluttony of the Seven Sins' is summoned to your side of the field, this card is unaffected by card effects and its effects are negated during this turn. When this card is returned to your hand, Special Summon 'Escanor, Moonlight Lion's Pride of the Seven Sins' from your hand or Deck during the next Standby Phase. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Special Summoned, return it to your hand. During the Standby Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this banished card to your side of the field. You can only control 1 "Escanor, Sunlight Lion's Pride of the Seven Sins".

"Hawk, Leftover's Captain of the Seven Sins" + 1 Dragon-Type monster

Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above cards from either side of the field to the Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 card your opponent controls. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, add 1 "Hawk, Leftover's Captain of the Seven Sins" from your Deck to your Hand.

Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above cards from either side of the field to the Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) During either player's turn (except during the Battle Phase): You can banish this card to target 1 monster your opponent controls and return it to the owner's hand. Your opponent cannot summon or activate effects of monsters with that same name until your opponent's next End Phase. During your next Standby Phase, return this card banished by this effect to the field. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, add 1 "Hawk, Leftover's Captain of the Seven Sins" from your Deck to your Hand.

LIGHT Level 5 Fiend/Fusion/Effect

"Hawk, Leftover's Captain of the Seven Sins" + 1 Fiend-Type monster
Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above cards from either side of the field to the Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) While this card is in your Graveyard or face-up on the field, its Attribute is also treated as DARK. This card cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn, you can gain LP equal to 200 x the combined level of the Fusion Material Monsters used to Special Summon it and inflict damage to your opponent equal to that amount. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, add 1 "Hawk, Leftover's Captain of the Seven Sins" from your Deck to your hand.
