Infiltrator archetype

Please review.

The focus of this archetype is four things:
1) Sending your monsters to your opponent's deck face up. (Think parasite paracide)

2) In the case of spell cards, shuffling them face up into your own deck, and activating them when drawn.

3) In the case of trap cards, shuffling them face up into your own deck, and activating them, from the deck.

4) Stopping your opponent from shuffling. This also means he cannot search, as searching implies shuffling.

I can guarantee the uniqueness of this deck and concept. Please review.

Please do review.

lvl 4 Warrior/dark, all of them, unless otherwise mentioned.

Also, Alien infiltrator is apparently part of this archetype, but is not recommended for any deck. Even alien ones.

I understand this deck will be inconsistent and have to deal with mass amounts of card text. Please forgive me for that.

Infiltrator Organizer
Atk 1600
Def 1400
If this card is normal summoned, shuffle one card from your deck, face up, into your opponent's deck. If this card leaves the field, shuffle one card from either player's side of the field or graveyard, face up, into your opponent's deck. Any effect that would cause either player's Deck to be shuffled is negated, except for the effects of "Infiltrator" cards.. If this face up card is drawn or sent from the deck to the graveyard, your opponent can target one face up card in either player's deck except Infiltrator Organizer; place it on the top of the deck, then take 1000 points of damage and shuffle this card, face down, into your opponent's deck.

This card should give you a good idea of how this deck works. It should also prepare you for the massive amounts of card text you will see on every card going forward.

I could have gone with dynamite, kamikaze, or detonator. I went with Boom-Boom. It's a stylistic choice.

I'm going to add more. Just can't think of any right now. Give me some ideas.

Traps:
The reason I'm putting traps first is because this deck is possibly the only deck in the history of yugioh whose trap cards are more consistent than spell cards. I mean far, far more consistent.

Infiltrator spellbreaker
You can reveal this card from your hand, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If you draw this face up card, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If your opponent activates a spell card while this card is face up in your deck and you have no spell or trap cards on your side of the field or in your graveyard, negate that spell card, destroy it, then shuffle this card, face down, into your deck.

Infiltrator landmine
You can reveal this card from your hand, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If you draw this face up card, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If your opponent special summons a monster while this card is face up in your deck and you have no spell or trap cards on your side of the field or in your graveyard, negate the summon, destroy it, then shuffle this card, face down, into your deck.

Infiltrator disarmer

You can reveal this card from your hand, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If you draw this face up card, shuffle it, face down, into your deck. While this card is face up in your deck and you have no spell or trap cards on your side of the field or in your graveyard, neither player can set. Neither player can activate set cards.

Infiltrator tax collector
You can reveal this card from your hand, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If you draw this face up card, shuffle it, face down, into your deck. If your opponent adds a card(s) from his deck to his hand, except during the draw phase, while this card is face up in your deck and you have no spell or trap cards on your side of the field or in your graveyard, draw a card.

Infiltrator field breaker
You can reveal this card from your hand, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If you draw this face up card, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. While this card is face up in your deck and you have no spell or trap cards on your side of the field or in your graveyard, you can destroy one card on the field, then shuffle this card, face down, into your deck.

I can't think of any more. Give me some ideas.

Spells.

These cards are hard to use. Really, really hard. But they're powerful. Really, really powerful.

That castle looks more comfortable

You can reveal this card from your hand, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If you draw this face up card while you have no spell or trap cards on your side of the field or in your graveyard, and your opponent's deck has less cards in it than yours, shuffle cards from your deck, face up, into your opponent's deck until your opponent's deck has either the same number of cards as yours, or one more card than yours. Then, shuffle this card, face down, into your deck.

Notice, this card cannot be used while you control an infiltrator monster, making it even more inconsistent than it already was. Reference to 'that grass looks greener' and also to how these cards are leaving your deck, or castle, in favor of that of your opponent. In fact, despite its massive loading of your opponent's deck and crazy deck thinning, it's actually a pretty crappy card.

Easily the worst of the spells, because it has to be run in a 60 card deck, but there aren't enough great infiltrator cards for such a deck, and you can't use other spell or trap cards, because they crap up this card and this deck's spells and traps in general. Also, you can't use this while you control king. Let's be honest, if you're playing this deck, you always control king. You can't even run out of copies of king. This deck has some great cards, especially among the traps, but playing this deck without king is like dark worlds playing macro cosmos, a terrible choice.

Infiltrator infiltration

You can reveal this card from your hand, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If you draw this face up card while you have no spell or trap cards on your side of the field or in your graveyard, shuffle 3 cards from your deck, face up, into your opponent's deck and add one Infiltrator card from your deck to your hand. Then, shuffle this card, face down, into your deck.

Infiltrator cleanup crew

You can reveal this card from your hand, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If you draw this face up card while you have spell or trap cards in your graveyard, shuffle all spell or trap cards from your graveyard, face up, into your deck, and shuffle all monster cards in your graveyard, face up, into your opponent's deck.

Infiltrator annihilation

You can reveal this card from your hand, shuffle it, face up, into your deck. If you draw this face up card while you have no spell or trap cards on your side of the field or in your graveyard, shuffle all cards on the field face down into the decks of their original owners, except infiltrator monsters, then, shuffle all infiltrator monsters, face up, into the decks of the opponents of their original owners.

Again, I can't think of any more. Give me ideas.

Extra deck

King of the infiltrators

Atk ?

Def 0

Level 8

2 or more infiltrator monsters

This card can only be special summoned (From your extra deck while face down or from your opponent's extra deck while face up.) by shuffling the above monsters from your hand or side of the field, face up, into your opponent's deck. (You do not use polymerization.) The original attack of this card is the combined number of face up cards in both player's decks X 1000. If an infiltrator monster would leave the field, shuffle it face up into the deck of the opponent of the controller instead. Any effect that would cause either player's Deck to be shuffled is negated, except for the effects of infiltrator cards. For each fusion material monster used to summon this card, it gains the following effects:

2+: Once per turn, you can shuffle one card from your deck, face up, into either player's deck.

4+: Once per turn, you can target one face up card in either player's deck, place it on top of the deck.

6+: Once per turn, shuffle up to 3 cards from either player's graveyard into their deck, either face up or face down; draw a card.

When this card leaves the field, shuffle it, face up, into your opponent's extra deck. Monsters placed below this face up card cannot be special summoned.

This card makes it all fit together, like puzzle pieces. It's also the only extra deck card needed, aside from a few xyz and link monsters. Like worms. They only had worm zero. This card is inspired by worm zero, but is obviously far more powerful.

  • 2 weeks later...

Because of erratas and such where cards that search no longer have "Shuffle" on their card text, I had to change the "shuffle" effect, so it sounds really awkward... Can somebody please tell me a better wording for this card text?

"Cards, or the effects of cards which have an effect that would cause either player to shuffle their deck cannot be activated from either player's hand, field, graveyards, or decks, except infiltrator cards."

Alternately, I could limit the words add or search as well, and that might skip a few cards here and there, overall, it'll hit most of the cards that could have been hit.

A simple solution would be simply,

"Neither player's deck can be shuffled, except by the effects of infiltrator cards."

But that wouldn't hit the other effects of such cards.

Help me out here, please...

The card text for the monsters was cut right in half after the changes...

Well, card effects such as Sangan or Giant Rat allow you to search out a monster with 1500 or less ATK. The rules were also updated to state that everytime a card effect that requires you to search your deck is activated, you must shuffle it automatically. So the shuffling of the deck is now a rule that pertains to such effects.

So your text should read: Any effect that would cause either player's Deck to be shuffled is negated except for the effects of "Infiltrator" monsters/cards.

Or something similar.

Fair enough.
