Ok, this might be weird or tasteless, but i have to know. How true is the black dudes going apaeshit over magic tricks stereotype, and have you ever personally exemplified it?

I mean personally I've always thought magic was dope, but I think the reason the stereotype is black guys going "apeshit" is because of the history of magic in black communities and black history.

Well yeah.  Voodoo didn't originate in New Orleans.  And it was absolutely a part of my culture when I was young as it is today.  Mind you it's not as prominent but magic is probably more commonly found in places with deeper connections to slave history (in regards to how it influenced or history and culture).

You hear a lot about slave souls still wandering plantations today.  You see a lot of it in our music (especially hip-hop and reggae).  But you'll find the most deeply rooted magic in voodoo and those who practice it, and of course back in the motherland of Africa.

Hell, there's a great example of it in my title.

"Soek jy n Sagoma?"

Are you looking for Sagoma?

Sagoma is a tribal witch doctor.  They primarily use their "magic" and what they learn to heal diseases and treat wounds.  Though not all of them are like that.
