[Equip Spell]

While there is a face-up Field Spell Card on the field, the equipped monster cannot be targeted by battle or by card effect. Once, during either player's turn: You can target 1 face-up Field Spell Card on the field; apply 1 of these effects.

  • The equipped monster becomes any Monster-Type and/or Attribute specifically listed in that card's text (if 2 or more Types or Attributes are listed, then you choose 1 Type and/or 1 Attribute listed in the card's text).
  • The equipped monster's card name becomes a Monster Card name that has a part of its name, in quotations, listed in that card's text (of your choice).

Turn Generic option to archetype cards so its gain benefits further from those cards eh? Its a cute interaction on top of otherwise strong protection being absolutely untargetable.

Granted maybe the archetype this card trully shine is mostly on Arc-V era when Field Spell actually gain relevance and then the problem of this card is how consistent to get both of those card fielded. The Field spell still easy, this card is not.

Well...most Decks do run a Field Spell nowadays but a lot of them are ARCHETYPE-specific in listing stuff, not with Type/Attribute. So...in more casual applications, this can probably work (and in retrospective, Casual is intended for more "fun" stuff). I mean, you can still technically make the equipped monster a pseudo-Archetypal member for the general perks.

If nothing else, near full immunity to stuff is good (even if it does rely on a Field Spell up). You just better hope Konami doesn't ban Terraforming or Set Rotation any time soon.

But yeah, problem is still getting this card into hand more often than not; I mean, there are some options but they're gimmicky.

Card is fine though for what it does.

Well, Field Spells are generally easy to add, such as certain monsters that can add them or Terraforming. Mix that with Hidden Armory, and it's not all that difficult to accomplish. It's a fascinating card. It helps you make use of Field Spells like Divine Wind of Mist Valley, Zombie World, The Hidden City, or more appropriately the Equip-heavy Dragunity. And immunity is always welcome. I like it!
