Solve this puzzle

I have posted a puzzle below.

Each dot in a row or column has a value

the sum of those values is in the respective row or column

Each dot's value is determined by some pattern

The goal of this is to:

A. Find the values of the missing rows and columns.

B. Identify the pattern.

Good luck.

I'll do the second part, but am too lazy to do the first part at 3 am

Number= the number of other dots that it touches

2 row has 1 dot that touches none and 1 dot that touches 2 =>0+2

6 column has 1 dot that touches 2, another that touches 2, and yet another that touches 2 = 6

5 row has 1 dot that touches 2, another that touches two, and 1 that touches 1 = 5

Fine, I'll do the numbers

You have such high hopes for this forum. On average, the people on this site don't actually follow any trail of logic and exist in an echo-chamber of their own pettiness. This is too much work. Also, I am terrible at patterns. I study literature and abstract logic, not this sheet.

I don't have high hopes at all. I never asked for this.

You desired it and put your work into fruition, expecting an outcome or some form of tribulation. You didn't have to ask for it when you already posted it, implying an expectation of effort.

You're wrong actually. This is an old piece I did a while ago that I based on raven matrices. Reposting it here was merely to alleviate a fleeting moment of boredom.

"Solve this puzzle" being the title is oxymoronic in your explanation. While at the core it might have been to "alleviate a fleeting moment of boredom", it still had a purpose for people to solve. Any set of instructions is done for an expected outcome. The outcome isn't important in the end, but was still a driving force to this post.

It's actually posted ironically. Sure the puzzle has a solution, but it'd be unfair if it didn't and couldn't be reached intuitively. The fact that the solution is unorthodox and unintuitive to most people, and by complaining that this too much work to solve is to miss the entire point. I couldn't care less if anyone here were or were not able to solve it.

Quick question...

As a quadgender femaloid I am still confused about the total amount of gender specifications. I read up about this and heard that there are many supporting LGBTQ figures here, dedicated to answering the touch questions us Qs have! I, as a communist, facist, nazi, feminist, android motorola am curious about the exact number of genders. Plz help
