Basically, you attack by playing cards, and you get cards and upgrade them while climbing the tower. At the start of each turn you discard your hand and draw a fresh 5 cards, and if you run out of cards in the deck you shuffle all your used cards back in and draw again. The cards all have unique effects and synergies, and all the Relics(basically permanent continuous spells) can add to them, I even found one that draws you a card when you have 0 in your hand and it can reactivate any number of times per turn so I picked all the 0 cost cards, found one that reduces your max HP by 20% and makes you draw a card whenever you take HP damage, etc. It's really cool, and strategic.
