FIRE Dragon Link Effect

ATK 2000/LINK-3

2+ FIRE Dragon, Sea Serpent, and/or Wyrm monsters

Each turn, the first time(s) exactly 1 monster is Normal or Special Summoned to your opponent's field to each zone this card points to (separately), except a FIRE Dragon, Sea Serpent, or Wyrm monster, banish that monster, face-down. If this card battles an opponent's monster, except a FIRE Dragon, Sea Serpent, or Wyrm monster, that opponent's battling monster and this card are not destroyed by that battle, also after damage calculation inflict damage to your opponent equal to the difference between this card's and that monster's ATK.

​Flames of Embergon (Normal Trap Card)

Iinflict 2000 damage to your opponent, then you take 1000 damage. You must control an "Embergon" monster in this card's column to activate and to resolve this card. You cannot Normal Summon/Set or Special Summon monsters or activate Spells/Traps the turn you activate this card, except FIRE Dragon, Sea Serpent, or Wyrm monsters or Normal Spells/Traps. You can only activate 1 "Flames of Embergon" per turn.

 

 

 

​So I started an Archetype of cards many months ago (back in April), and since then I've been slowly giving this currently TCG-exclusive Archetype more and more support, so in a way I've become Konami incarnate (just wait 'til I get my hands on that banlist, oh its gonna be messy). The Link monster and its strange Link Arrows are designed to give you an edge against your opponent that isn't running the same Deck as you. It banishes anything it points to when Summoned to those zones, but to clarify, this only applies once per each zone so the first monster your opponent Summons to the top-right zone this card points to is banished but not any others and etc. for the other 2 zones. This card also has an interesting Battle Phase effect; rather than outright overpowering an opponent's monster during battle or going old-school "Catastor" on that monster (Ally of Justice Catastor), instead it prevents either itself or that opponent's monster from being destroyed by that battle but it inflicts damage equal to the difference in ATK between them, so if this card fights a bigger monster, your opponent takes more damage and vice-versa if it battles a monster weaker than itself.
