A link archetype of snakes themed after various computer viruses and malware. Like any virus, their main strategy is disrupting your opponent somehow.

Wire Snake Worm
DARK - ✪✪✪ - Cyberse/Effect - 1350/50

This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card deals battle damage to your opponent: You can Special Summon 1 “Wire Snake” monster from your Deck to your opponent’s side of the field. While you do not own this card, this card cannot be used a Link Material or Tributed, also when you Summon a Level/Rank 5 or higher monster, it is changed to Defense Position.

Wire Snake Resident
DARK - ✪✪✪✪ - Cyberse/Effect - 150/1950

If this card is in your hand: You can discard 1 “Wire Snake” monster; place this card face-up on top of your opponent’s Deck. When this face-up card is drawn: Send 1 other card from your hand to the GY, then Special Summon this card to your side of the field. This card cannot be targeted for attacks, but it does not prevent your opponent from attacking directly. Once per turn, during each of your End Phases: Banish cards from the top of your Deck face-down equal to the number of monsters you control but do not own.

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to either side of the field in Attack Position by Tributing 1 monster on that side of the field. You can only Special Summon this card once per turn this way.If this card is Summoned: This card’s owner can Special Summon 1 “Wire Snake Token” (Cyberse-Type/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 100/DEF 100) to their side of the field. While you do not own this card, this card cannot be used a Link Material or Tributed.

When your opponent activates a card or effect: Banish this card and 1 card the opponent of this card’s owner controls until the End Phase of this turn. If this card is Summoned; you can add 1 “Wire Snake” monster from your Deck to your hand. Only 1 effect of this card's name can be used per turn, and only once that turn. While you do not own this card, this card cannot be used a Link Material or Tributed.

If your opponent controls a monster you own: You can target 1 monster in either player’s GY; Special Summon it to your opponent’s side of the field, then equip this card from your hand or field to it. I decided to take a lot of liberty with this prompt, and go full out in the whole idea of a Virus. Despite its redundancy, I do actually like the Cyberse theming, and though this would fit in with them. Of course, it is a rather complicated mish-mash of effects, so suggestions on reducing it and correcting OCG would be much appreciated, especially with cards like Trojan. Also, sorry about the massive amount of cards; I got really involved making these ^^

 

I saw searching as a potential flaw in the archetype, i.e. consistency, but feel that their spammyness from Deck can counter that. I tried to make it so that the monsters would be able to handle 90% of what your opponent throws at you, with the ATK problem being dealt with by Override. All the rest was purely me having fun, and adding support. I tried to focus on less generic rather than more so as well, due to the LIGHT being a common Attribute and Cyberse getting a ton of new support, but there are some Cyberse allowances here and there for potential splashing.

 

So yeah, here you go. Hope you like them as much as I do! and that my love isn't misplaced because they're almost certainly broken despite my best efforts
